Jake made so much crap work but he was a master the guy could have been a movie star ad made million over what he got in WWF. He would have made a perfect movie villan.
I'm sick of everybody crying and complaining on behalf of Dusty Rhodes. Dusty's whole schtick was that he was a man of the people. The skits were funny. He was given cool music and feuded with all the top heels who had just feuded with Hogan. And what's the big deal with the polka dots? Have you seen the stuff Dusty was wearing before? What is a 45 year old jive talking fat guy supposed to wear? And by the way Dusty as a booker treated people worse than Vince.
It was a different time, family oriented characters for kids was what the WWF was all about at that time, even today long since after the attitude era ended, it’s not the same when the WWE tried to go back to being a family product.
Couldn't ruin Dusty he was a 3 time world champion and couldn't be stopped he was the dream the American dream baby and you can't judge that book bye looking at the cover lol
Vince tried ruining the Rhodes family but Dusty took a terrible gimmick and Dusty still became even more loved. Dustin they did the same with goldust and he took it to the top, he tried burying Cody and it made Cody reinvent himself into a top talent wherever he goes. Imagine if Vince would have given the Rhodes family his backing.

The Dusty Rhodes gimmick is way better than the crappy gimmicks they have now in my opinion.
