If you want an actually decent old truck that will appreciate in value, buy a 1980-96 ford f150, 250, or 350 an 83-92 chevy s-10, any ford ranger, a first gen dodge with the 12 valve and a 5 speed, or a squarebody chevy. 70's and 80's vans from all makes are going up in value pretty quickly as well.
@CARvintagegarage GMC and Chevy have both been manufactured by general motors since the early 1930's. They're the exact same truck except for a trim package.
@CARvintagegarage You didn't listen.. that motor is junk. Two reasons it knocks if it is" really" rebuilt. Main bearing turned wrong or a oiling problem.

You might be right about that, but maybe you should ask the car owner directly to be sure.
