      Try using a different logon, such as a SAS token.

    Hi, I followed every step except VNC and I get this error when trying to deploy my vm(for some people the vm works perhaps the error but in my case it doesn't work): OsProvisioningTimedOut
    My intention is to create a VM in azure using my custom red hat image.
    I have been trying different options and looking for info to stop this error and nothing works. Could you give me and advice or solution? Thank you!

    • @Atmosera-

      See if you can still reach the box via ssh or other means even if you get the error. Sometimes, if you don't have the VM agent installed, that can cause this to happen.

    I followed everything, but I can't connect through vnc. do i need to set the IP to dhcp before uploading it to azure storage?

    • @Atmosera-
      @Atmosera-  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, and make sure that that the ports for VNC aren't blocked... or create an SSH tunnel.

    Hello sir how much time does it take to deploy the vm its taking a lot of time

    • @Atmosera-
      @Atmosera-  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can take a while --- usually 10-15 minutes, sometimes faster. If it never finishes, that's okay sometimes. Basically, it's not hearing from the agent even if the machine boots.

    Hi, I hv done uploading Ubuntu vhd in fixed drive format and later I hv attached to new custom image. Post I have created VM and given this custom image path. The whole process successfuly finished but at last stage it throws me error like following error
    OS Provisioning for VM 'Motadata-Asset-Software' did not finish in the allotted time. The VM may still finish provisioning successfully. Please check provisioning state later. Also, make sure the image has been properly prepared (generalized).

    * Instructions for Linux: azure.microsoft.com/documentation/articles/virtual-machines-linux-capture-image/
    * If you are deploying more than 20 Virtual Machines concurrently, consider moving your custom image to shared image gallery. Please refer to aka.ms/movetosig for the same

      Sometimes, if the agent is on the VM and it doesn't let Azure know that it is done, you'll get this error. The agent needs to be installed so that it can communicate with Azure and FW rules needed to be in play etc.
      Using a generalized image can be destructive though. It depends on what you're doing. A straight migration from a hypervisor to Azure doesn't need an image gallery. But if you are trying to maintain images for deployment for testing etc, this is a good idea.

    Can I create my Windows Image in Azure then instead of creating the VMs I want yo use this image for deploying it to my Local machines

    • @Atmosera-
      @Atmosera-  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In theory you could do that. I've never tried it though. You'd have to download the VHD and mount it as a VM in your hypervisor.
