Hi Gracie, I’d like to pass on a static remedy. Put a little rubbing alcohol in the cap. Take a cotton swab and dip it in the alcohol. Blot on a paper towel. Then put the swab into the bag of drills and move them all around. Take swab out and you should have control over the static. You don’t need to dip the swab in alcohol every time. I hope it helps. I wanted to cry for you dealing with that mess. I wished I had a faster way to connect with you as I live in Michigan in the USA. I watch you a lot. I’m a newbie at diamond painting. I saw this on a video but didn’t really pay attention to the artist’s name that showed this technique. I’m sorry for that as I’d really like to give her credit where credit is due. Anyway, I hope this helps you in the future. Patricia
Gracie, that was a tremendous amount of work you did kitting up this one. I don’t think I would have the patience to accomplish that. I hope it’s smooth sailing from here. ❤
Congrats Gracie. I feel like I just stood vigil with you while you endured trial by fire. All those decisions was certainly exhausting. I look forward to seeing you work on this. "I hope this painting works out." Mood. You have done an amazing accomplishment. All the best for you and your friend.
I use static guard in the baggies. Be careful because the ink sometimes runs on the baggies. I do two or three at a time. Blot an area dry and apply a label to the baggie with the bag# so I can kit up later. Hope that makes sense.
wow Gracie it was great to see you accomplish such a massive task with all that static, you have made me eager now to buy the Josephine Wall max colour that I wanted from the one with the diamond art and I just hope I can accomplish the kitting up like you did.
Gracie that was quite an accomplishment just finishing the kitting up. 🎉 Looking forward to seeing you set up and work on such a large canvas. I'm about to start on my first "table sized" canvas and I'm quite intimidated. Good luck with yours.
Omg girl I ordered from the same company I've waited so long for it to show up and I saw this diamond art like complete in your background idk how you did it SO FAST beautiful omg
I had A LOT of static on my Bluebird Jo Wall painting. Took me a week to kit up. Plan on starting it next year. I have same size from same company. A little anxious also about how it will go. Needed to take a break from it after kitting up.
Wow that was amazing how you accomplished that kit up. I'll be honest I had a real static issue I rolled canvas up and gave up. Youve inspired me.TFS ❤
I have a black & white JWall, 259 colors from the same place. I had your reaction as well. It has become my first WIP! The symbols on the canvas proved to be my biggest challenge and frustration! I couldn’t ID what they were! I’m tempted to pull it out and work on it with you. 🩵
I got in the habit of stabbing the baggies or trains with the pointy tweezers and letting them rest before kitting up . For me it works 90% of the time . Constantly shaking or playing with them seems to create more static.
Woman, you’re better than me let me say that, I am doing my first custom & I am intimidated it’s a family portrait of my youngest daughter and her husband and two children and I am terrified & I’m loving watching you doing this but I’m really needing to go back to the monster I have created omg 😱 and you’ve got that one ahead of you and I hope it’s a monumental success for you I will pray for you & im sending my love
If we can’t ignore the washing machine, then we have the wrong hobby, with all the sounds that we hear from opening & the crackling of the plastic the sounds of grabbing things etcetera so it’s certainly not a bother to hear a little bit of the washing machine…. The similarity of those gold colors is really scary because if I were working on a regular size canvas and had lost one of the colors and couldn’t get it any other way I would substitute it with the other color
Even if you don’t start that painting right away you will have the comfort of knowing that you have it all kitted up and that’s a good thing
YEAH!! YOU DID IT GRACE!!

Goodness! Static, like symbols AND the canvas in black and white. Best thing I can do for you is pray A LOT!

I watched and liked all three of your Static Gate videos. That was an accomplishment! Good job.

i'm excited to see her work on this one
Amazing nice work. Have you started it yet as can’t wate to see how’s you get on.
I did also a thing, i orderd a 60x 80 in square. And i hate kitting up. I really dread it. But i know the results are going to be wonderful
I’m in Australia too but Western Australia

I wish I had the confidence to pick up a large one like this. My 40x70 is intimidating enough with 30 colors
Wee tip - if you score right thro i.e 1st strip - sticky tape on back works wonders to hold together 😉

What is the name brand of your container, please
