Can we open 2 Excel Sheets in Dex mode ? Looking to get Tab S9 FE Can i Sync the Excel Sheet to 3 or more Devices So whatever i change it also changes on all my Devices Eg: 2 Phone, 1 Tab & Windows Laptop How do i do that ? Please share link on how to set that up
This is my daily driver for the most part. Emails, MS Office, Samsung Notes, web browsing, multiple screen layout, Dex etc. It has handled everything I've thrown at it with great battery life. Great review.
I think Samsung did a great job with the price point and the compromises they made with this device aren't too unreasonable when comparing it with it's competitors. I can think of a certain latest fruit device with a 60Hz refresh rate, a notch that should have been way less visible already and a usb-c that should have been there half a decade ago😂 Some compromises from tech companies are just inexcusable. Samsung did alright with this. Great review!
I Got the S9 FE+ 128/8GB Model & Immediately after that, I noticed Tab S8 is on sale at 20% more prise. If I seen that, surely I would have Got that. But with the water Resistance, larger Screen with decent display quality, and good enough processor I have got a good deal I will say. I tested it thoroughly and have noticed no slowdown in all the applications I an using. And I can get a 256 high speed SD card and a cover in that price.
i just bought the tabket with my student discount and im glad to know that ive made a good descision with my purchase for my uni and hobby with this tablet :D
Hello, what's the note-taking experience like on the S9 FE with the stylus? does it seem fast and smooth, for example? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
@@Charlotte-wk1dy after a few months of having the tablet, i can say that it feels very smooth! i also tried some of my friends apple pencils sometimes and i have to say, if you prefer a more "solid & hard" feel on the screen, then the apple pencil there is better. if you like a "smoother" experience, i would say the S pen is pretty good! the pen has no battery so you dont have to worry to charge it like with the apple pencil, has pen pressure, an all around good pen i have to say! and i use at home a graphics tablet to draw, it doesnt have the same sensitivity but it is more than enough for note taking.
Thanks so much for the video! I just got myself a tab S9 FE+ every comment I say recommends tab S8 but I really wanted the extra real estate on the + model. Getting it this week so hopefully it was a great buy!
You pay for extra screen size. The S9 is $200 cheaper than the S9 Plus with almost the same features. Just how it is. It's okay that you prefer screen size. I think you made a good choice
i prefer 11" as the sweet spot, small enough to travel with big enough to watch videos on TH-cam and the occasional Netflix, 12.4 to me is just too big, doesnt fit on night stand with other stuff.@@AndroidDigest
I ordered this tablet a week ago (12GB RAM 256GB, so I'm still waiting for it to come out) and I think it's going to be perfect for me. I am in university and using my 2in1 laptop for my notes, but I wanted something I can use in addition and when my laptops battery dies (it is a couple of years old, runs great, I just don't have a way to charge it between classes). I don't need the best performance with the blackest black. I need a small reliable device for school work and the occasional entertainment purpose :D
I used a 2018 10.5 tab a8 in university and loved it, it was awesome for the basics like notes google and TH-cam etc. I 'upgraded' to a surface go (then a surface go 2) and while the pen was worth it for me, the rest of the experience was just not as nice. When it launched I bought the s8+. It is the best tablet I've used by far, and my wife has an m2 iPad pro. With the tab s9fe getting 90hz i am confident I would be 95% as happy with it as my s8+ going off my tab a8 experience. If budget is tight and you can't find a good used s8 100% get the s9fe series
I was thinking of buying a used Surface Pro 5 2017 8 gigs of RAM or this tablet. This is just a little more expensive than the Pro 5 used. Do you believe this tablet can perform the Surface Pro 2017..?
same here, since wife barely used it i traded it in for me and will use my S5e as a spare, getting slow but AMOLED screen and quad speakers make it hard to get rid of.
I am glad I was able to watch this honest review. The comments are also good since you are replying to them with sense and helpful advice. I am planning to buy the tab S9 Fe a bit hesitant at first but after watching this I made up my mind. What he is saying was true for me. I will use the tab for productivity and not mainly for gaming so I guess the fe is really a good buy. Extra ram and better processor will not have significant difference in my case since the lower specs can serve it's purpose at the end of the day. Thanks android digest!
I'm not a tablet user until this because I use a gaming laptop anyway. But this, having a phone, a tablet, and a powerful laptop helps a lot with productivity
07:52 was such a lovely thing to watch, I've seen soooo many people saying that these cheap tablets weren't as good as the high end tablets, and you just nailed 'em!!
Yeah a lot of people trash mid range tablets. It's mainly because they only use high end products. This is a really good tablet for the money especially today with sales
I love my S9 FE. I was able to get it on sale, plus I got a discount for the trouble I went through on the A8, plus got some off for being a member at the store here. Got it for relatively cheap.
I got it for a good deal with Samsung and bought the base 128gb/6 gb ram version of the S9 FE for 258 usd, and it's awesome! The exynos do a very good job and you can use spacedesk to draw in your windows pc, even the presuree works there, I love it so far! Also, the batery is working pretty good so far
one other thing is that you can trade in your old tablet if you would like to. I got $250 credit for S6Lite v1 towards this, same price i paid 2 years ago for it. Cant wait to receive mine from Samsung.
I just ordered the Fe plus considering my budget! as my first time using a tablet.I hope it is a good choice because i will use it more for taking notes for uni
The S9 FE is currently on sale at Amazon Canada for $399 CAD. You can also bundle it with the Galaxy Buds FE for only $30 CAD (normally $140) for a total of $430 and a combined savings of $310 CAD.
I've recently traded in my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE (6GB/128GB, Wi-Fi) for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE (6GB/128GB, Wi-Fi) for only $99.99 USD plus tax during Samsung's Early Black Friday event. I'm a budget-conscious digital artist, and I don't really need all those bells and whistles to get the job done. If I want to do any resource-intensive tasks, such as video editing, that's what my Beelink SER4 Mini PC (AMD Ryzen 7 4800U) is for. By the way, my go-to drawing app is Clip Studio Paint EX. I use both the Windows and Android versions of said drawing app.
Hello! Given that you have the S9 FE and the S9 model cases could you please confirm which cases from your S9 video definitely fit the FE model? Like, the camera and exact size? I know in comments you've said that they fit but other people have reported that they are a tiny bit too small. It has been impossible to find accurate information online - even samsung said the S9 bookcover case wasn't compatible with S9 FE but they don't have an FE version available. I beg of you!
I'm currently using an Amazon Fire HD 2020, that cost me $89.00. It has 2GB of RAM and didn't have, Google Play Services, haptic feedback or a Snapdragon processor. This is the perfect upgrade, and it will compliment my Samsung S22. It seems the tablet has the internals of the GS20 FE 4G variant. That phones slaps by the way.
I had 6 FE and got the 9 FE. In April it is a great upgrade note taking with the s pen is almost like using a real pen. I'M able to play Warzone Mobile on it andit plays very easily with great graphics and low lag
Coming from a good old 2016 Galaxy Tab A with 2gigs of ram and Android 6 (still works for browsing and streaming, but no updates, starting to lag etc). Just ordered a 6gb 128gb S9 FE for 390 dollars (Norway September 2024 price). No need for high end gaming, so a good fit for my needs I hope. Could get the S8 for same price but prefer the extra year of updates.
Fully functional? Yes. But can't connect to a monitor through usb c. So if that's considered a function then no. No monitor support basically. May be able to get it working through an mhl cable though
This was one of the best and most useful reviews I have seen. Great comparison between competing devices and the trade-offs. Now looking for a refurbished s8. Thank you!
That's amazing. That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'm wanting people to be able to watch this and come to their own conclusions. The S8 will be a little bit faster. It will have a little bit of a better refresh rate. A Bluetooth s pen. But you are looking at no water resistance. Slightly worse battery life. One less year of updates. And with the s9fe right now, it's been on sale for around $350. So now that those sales have been going on, you may be trading off a new device versus getting a used one. So there are reasons for some people to get the s9fe. But with more power, a better refresh rate, a better s pen experience, I think you're making a really really good choice overall. I'm really glad my video helped. A guy recently left me a comment saying he always leaves my reviews confused. I tried to explain to him the nuances. Some people review products and they just look at the retail price and they tell you to buy it or not, I try to do a lot more comparisons and try to share more nuance to help people make better decisions. I want to give advice that lasts more than just a week, I want to talk about potential sales and other devices out there. So I'm really really glad it helped you
Im a college student. Looking for a tab that will mainly servse as a note taking tab and maybe some COD every now and then. This is whithin my budget (450-470 usd). Should i go for it? Any other substitutes?
I really love your reviews. Now I just bought this tablet and I'm really enjoying it. It is a really good tablet for the money. So far the sound is pretty good and screen is nice and bright, which i didn't think it would be because it's not an amoled display. It's also pretty fast. It would be better if it had a 120hz refresh rate. All in all, i really like it alot. Thanks for the review!
Thank you for this great review. May I ask... if you open the Kindle app on this device, can you do a split screen and have the e-book on one side and a notebook on the other? And will you be able to copy text from an e-book and paste it into a notebook, or drag and drop? Also, will you be able to annotate directly on an e-book, whether e-pub or pdf format? These are functions I would need, since I do a lot of reading and note-taking. Thank you again!
First off, way way sorry for doing this comment so late. I definitely know that you would be able to open up the Kindle app on one side of the tablet, you would be able to copy and paste between the left and the right side of the tablet if you have another app open. As far as drawing over things, that really depends. There are certain ways that you can take a screenshot of what's on your screen and draw over that. Or there are some applications that will allow you to take notes and draw at the same time. So it depends on what app you're copying things into and taking notes on. But it sounds like this should do what you want it to do. But you may want to look at getting the plus version and getting a little bit of a larger size if you're trying to have two apps open at the same time. It may give you a little more space. But either one should work
I wanted a tablet for TH-cam an other content to give my phone a break. Since I'm already in the Samsung ecosystem I decided to check out the s9 range. The high end models look beautiful, but they are far too big and I couldn't justify the price for my casual use case. This little tablet feels like the sweet spot for casual use and portability.
Hi should I buy the S9 FE when I am going to game on it (Not that heavy games) Take notes Maybe TH-cam or Netflix and google and take it to school for learning- or should I go for the s8??? It is in my budget but I don't know. Please Reply?
Very subjective. But I personally like having the same ecosystem between my tablet and phone. They have a ton of good earbuds. They have good watches and tablets, so it's I like their ecosystem
Sparin has always been a good screen protector brand for me. (Affiliate link from Amazon) - amzn.to/4aovNSW As far as damage, obviously you can damage the screen but most people won't scratch or damage their screen with the s pen. I'd rather be safe though and use a tempered glass
I'd like to know if you know, over time, will this tablet always remain functional or will it perform less well, knowing that I'm hesitating with the s9? Which phone do you compare this tablet's screen and processor quality to?
It has the same chip as Samsung's mid-range phone, the A54 so you can expect similar performances and check out reviews of it as well. Obviously the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will last longer and run the tablet smoother for longer than the A54's chipset but it depends on how long you think you wanna use it and what you actually do with it like higher end gaming and heavier apps, and in the end the chip might even outlast the tablet itself.
@@KrazyShark What I look for in a tablet is a great screen and good sound. I have no use for the stylus. I use it for video streaming and Internet browsing. S9 or s9fe or tab a8?
I'd say the S9FE in that case cause the A8 has a TFT panel and is lower resolution. If you go all in and go for the S9 you'll get 4 speakers and an AMOLED screen but for most people I'd say the S9 FE is more than enough if you don't want to spend that much money just to watch stuff and browse the internet without gaming. Or you could always check the previous models like the S8 and see if there's any good prices or a good secondhand deal since it will be better than the S9 FE. @@classicstyloriginal
Yeah I would recommend the tab S8 if you can find a good deal on it, or the tab. S9FE. Both are going to be great options for you. I don't know about processors wearing down. They normally stay a similar speed, software can get bogged down a little bit sometimes, and that's when you just need to reset the device. But it should stay just as fast as it is, just like other faster tablets will stay as fast as they are. Over time. Time sure, some things demand a little more power. But that's normally years and years down the line. The point is, if it's enough power for you now. I think it will be enough a few years from now. As long as you keep up with the tablet, and don't be afraid to reset it every couple years. If you're worried about speed, you could always get a used or a mint condition tab S8. I'm sure there's a lot of great deals out there, but if you're wanting to buy new from a retailer, there should be a lot of good sales on the FE soon. It's a good option
@@AndroidDigest Thanks for the in-depth answer. The S8 tablet I spotted too, I saw that it is very appreciated but I confess I prefer to buy new and it is not available from Samsung where I prefer to buy. I've been thinking about the A8 too, because for me it's just for web browsing and videos, but if I can get something better, why not? I'm thinking of buying at Black Friday and I'm thinking either the S9FE or the S9 even if it's expensive and has features I don't need like Dex mode, the keyboard, the S pen not really either, my tablet is only for leisure and not for working with. It's not easy to choose, I've got the budget but the price difference between these 2 models will put me on the S9FE or S9FE plus I think, even if I'm reading negative comments about the exynos processor that make me hesitate. Is this processor better than the exynos processor on the S10 cell phone I have?
That extra 2GB ram and screen size for FE+ really had a huge price difference. Even going to just the standard FE the price is still steep from where I live. So the Xiaomi Pad 6/Pro or OnePlus would still be an easy decision price wise. But I think the justification for samsungs price model would be the support and most of the apps are optimized not to mention how Dex has transformed the tablet category nearly as good as using a desktop. Thank you for the review this helped me a lot!
For note taking , watching netflix and travelling..which model would u suggest ?? S9fe or s9fe +...i just want to know is s9fe is a decent size or should i go to a bigger screen if i can
Thank you so much. It seriously means a lot. I talk a ton about Android tablets on my channel. And I do talk about a lot of mid-range tablets too. Also mid-range phones and some other stuff like it. Feel free to check any of it out and feel free to leave any comments if you ever have questions. I'm not always great about getting back to old commetn threads but I typically respond to most new comments at least once
I’m seeking a tablet to watch lecture videos, read books, take notes, web surfing and some light gaming on Roblox. I can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab S9FE for $340 USD or Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 for $560 USD. I expect to keep this tablet around 3 years, will likely trade up after that. I don’t want it slowing down on me in that period of time. As I’ll be looking at the screen for long periods of time, I want to reduce eye strain/damage to eyesight. I need spill protection as I’m a klutz 😂. Which tablet do you recommend for me?
Hey, i wanna purchase the s9 fe+ for note taking, watching videos and stuff not much heavy tasks is it good for good for 3-4 years and how is the one ui in long run i mean does it lags or gets slow down?
I would definitely say that. Honestly every device will get a little bit slower over time, and that's when you just do a factory reset and back up your stuff. I don't expect it to be that slow even even in three or four years personally
I'm trying. I caught up to like 5 months of comments and now I'm trying to respond everyday. I don't respond as much to responses like this. Normally I just give one response and move on. But I've been able to keep up with new comments lately which is good
Bro great content, have a question though, I don't know what to choose between the S9 fe+ and the s8+ (128gb). They are sold at the same price where I live due to some promo on the s8+ version but the s9fe+ comes with the keyboard cover book as a gift which is priced around 130euros. Considering that I don't game much on my tablet but I want it to replace my laptop to some extent for which one should I go? (if it weren't for the IP68 I would have already chosen the s8)
That's really really tricky for sure. The S8+ has an AMOLED screen. And that's a pretty big deal. It also is going to be faster. So you will get a faster device with a better display. You also we'll get a Bluetooth s pen, a faster refresh rate on the screen, and the ability to connect to a monitor and use dex through that. The FE + on the other hand is water resistant and will have better battery life. And you get a keyboard cover. The Slim keyboard cover is probably what you'd get though. I'm personally not a fan of it because it doesn't have a touchpad, and it only works in one position. So you can't adjust the angles, and if you decide you want to use it without that keyboard, you have to detach it and then put a whole different case on it to protect it. I'd rather just use a case and get a Bluetooth keyboard which allows me the flexibility to use a keyboard when I want. Rather than being locked in to having the case and keyboard connected at all times. If I wanted a laptop only, I would get a laptop. I want the flexibility to have both, which is why I like the book cover keyboard or a Bluetooth keyboard option more. In the in, for me, I would pick the S8 Plus. I think you'll be pretty happy with it. That's just my take. But I have the Fe+ and honestly it's very good too. I wouldn't blame you if you prefer the water resistance and want something newer. And if you like the slim keyboard (I reviewed it for the S9 Plus on my channel a while back), then that is a good option. Hope this helps
I just want this for light gaming (bleach brave souls) and watching videos (youtube, netflix), would the 8gb ram 256gb storage s9fe version thats available in the UK be good for those tasks?
Considering the A54 has the same chipset and it can run Mobile Legends at 60FPS I think it won't be an issue with Bleach Brave Souls and other light games. It definitely would struggle with something like Genshin Impact compared to the non-FEs and you'd miss out on the AMOLED but honestly I don't mind a good LCD panel and you also save around 280 pounds (retail price) which is quite a lot that you could spend on accessories or anything else really.
@KrazyShark thank you for taking your time to reply, I just want to take the burden off my mobile whilst I'm home and this tablet seems to have enough firepower for my needs, once I've decided on the colour I'm purchasing one tomorrow. Thank you again for your reply.
@@bt891 You're welcome ! :) Hope you enjoy it and be sure to try it out for a week or so and if you think you actually needed the extra power don't hesitate to send it back so keep everything in mint condition until you're decided on keeping it.
Looks like Krazyshark covered it. Exactly what I would say. Even 6GB of RAM would probably suffice for what you want. The 4GB S7 FE did all those tasks fine for me
S9 fe base model has 6gb of ram and S9 fe+ has 8gb . Does it make a big impact if I choose S9 fe over fe+ ? actually I am confused which one I should buy. Please suggest.
Not really, no. I think for MOST people, they won't notice the ram difference. RAM often impacts the amount of things that can be held in the background so you can go back to them without them reloading, so you can have 15 apps open instead of 10. It won't affect too much.
Got mine just over a week ago great device overall but battery life not so great around between 3 and 4 hours on-screen time battery drop around 5% overnight and during the day close to 20% while doing nothing.Wifi model and only connected to internet when in use.Any advise please.
Hey, would you use a screen protection on the screen or not? I read somewhere on the internet that it destroys the spen's tip, but I am also afraid of scratches on the screen surface.
I would recommend using a tempered glass screen protector, yes. If somehow the tip of the spen wears down, you can order replacement nibs on amazon, even if they are from a third party.
I want a new tablet and 11 tablet is great for potability....so...between this and s9 which one is better im going to use it for multimedia so i want a really nice speakers and screen. Thanks
The S9 is much much better, but that's not the best question, of course it's better, it costs more, has a better screen and processor, and s pen, and a better refresh rate, it also costs hundreds more, typically. The real question is, do you have the money for the s9, and how high are your expectations? The S9 is the go to for sure, but yeah, the S9 FE is more than good enough for a lot of people looking to save money.
Not really. I think both devices would have good longevity. Ram only makes a difference with how many apps you can have running at the same time. So one device might be able to run 15 apps in the background. So you could switch back and forth between 15 apps without the app having to restart. If it restarts, it only takes like three to five seconds anyway. Sometimes less. So you can still multitask between a lot of apps. I don't know the exact number. Who knows. Might only be 10. But the main point is, the extra 2 gigabytes of RAM will just allow you to do a little bit more multitasking. But that won't have any effect on longevity in my opinion
is it worth upgrading to the s9 fe plus coming from the s7 fe? or should i go for the s9? i could get both for the same price ($300 after trade in) but i love the 12.4" screen . I would only use the tablet for note taking and netflix, and perhaps some very light gaming like solitaire, but i wonder if the processor in the new fe will be good enough as i use multitask a lot. Nice review btw!
Is the Tab S7 FE enough for your multitasking? Then yeah it should be enough. However I would still recommend the Tab S9, as you get way more but only lose the bigger screen.
You are definitely paying for the screen size. It depends on if the FE that you have now is enough. I like the other comment that said that. If it's more than enough for you and if it's fast enough for you, then yes, I would definitely upgrade. You won't get a significantly faster tablet. It's going to be about the same speed as your previous tablet. But you will get water resistance, and you will get four years of operating system updates. Your current tablet is out of those. So the question is, do you want to slightly smaller tablet with a better screen and a better processor, or do you want a bigger tablet? Screen size matters. It's okay to choose the bigger tablet if you like it. And if it's fast enough for you already
It doesn't have to charge. It doesn't have Bluetooth features. So it doesn't need to be charged. Similar to how spens were with the Galaxy Note series. They weren't charging while in the phone, they just didn't need to be charged
Hmm, am I missing something? Just unpacked the S9 FE tablet and keyboard expecting it to be backlit as advertised. Couldn't get it to backlit, contacted Samsung and they said it doesn't have that functionality. I'm taking it back to store tomorrow to see what either I'm doing wrong or an answer to why retailers are advertising wrong.
Hello, I have a question and sorry for the English, I am using the translator; If I get a USB C to HDMI adapter, can I make powerpoint presentations on a projector for college work with this tablet?
Hello friend 🙋♂️ What I look for in a tablet is a great screen and good sound. I have no use for the stylus. I use it for video streaming and Internet browsing. S9 or s9fe or tab a8?
You talking about three completely different classes of tablets. And three radically different price ranges. It all depends on your budget. First off. Obviously we can't all afford everything . Next it depends on what you're going to do with your tablet, and the screen size and everything else. I have reviewed all of these tablets, except for the newer A9 or A9+. So feel free to watch those reviews. You need to really watch the performance carefully, and listen carefully, consider if you game at all. If you game a lot, you might need the power of something like the tab. S9. If you only game a little bit, or a decent amount of the time, maybe the S9FE will do. Every tablet is different. You need to determine your budget. The screen size you want. And how much power you need. Asking those questions will start to limit your options
Please help to find best deal or option for me , I am med student and want to buy a tab for study , note taking, editing pdf etc and watching movies on weekends and regular TH-cam classes . Which would be better for me lenovo p11 pro 8/256 or samsung s9 fe 6/128 , both at same price .
Personally, I would probably prefer the Samsung. First off, it comes with the stylus. Secondly, Samsung dex is some really good software to help you get productive. Third, it has a lot better software updates. Lenovo is known to be very slow with updates and sometimes break things, and they give you a lot less updates overall. I'd argue the Lenovo hardware is ever so slightly better. In some ways. But it also doesn't have a fingerprint sensor, it doesn't have water resistance. And all the other things I mentioned make me lean towards Samsung, even if it's slightly faster with a slightly better refresh rate
I recently bought this (India) (S9 FE). can we replace the nib of this S Pen. I don't see clear article or video which confirm that. I could see for S pen Pro though
It really depends on the program you use. I've got so many comments to catch up on so can't test this minute but hope someone can help you figure it out
Be careful. When you buy in the US at least it says "wifi" in the title or "lte" or "5g". If you don't see anything in the title, it's normally a WiFi version. If you don't see anything in the description, it's normally a WiFi version. In the US at least, they only released the S9 Plus for cellular. Recently carriers started carrying the S9 FE and the A9+. But again, they have wifi versions too, so you have to find out in the listings on the websites. If it doesn't specify, it's probably wifi.
This review is spot-on! Haters and Naysayers will never change. There will always be some hit and miss in a product but overall this product is great for students.
Hi, may I know is S9 fe can fit the S9 keyboard cover? I do have S9 keyboard cover and smartbook cover. I'm planning to buy S9 fe if S9 keyboard cover and smartbook cover can fit to S9 fe. If can't maybe I'll be considering to buy S8. I just love my s9 so I don't want my S9 go outside. So I'm planning to buy another tab either S9 fe or S8 so that I can carry that one outside if I want to study outside like cafe, library and so on.
I know you can set it up in the settings of most Galaxy Tabs to beep of it gets lost. The Bluetooth s pens you may be able to set up for tracking before hand. But not afterwards. The FE doesn't connect with Bluetooth though. So think you may be out of luck
Everyone has different needs, I need a 12.3 inch tablet to read comics and pdf, and some media consumption, that's it. If I want to work, I go to my desktop pc, if I want to play games, I go to my ps5 and pc, if I want a smaller tablet, I already have a 8 inch tablet 😅 so I just need a 12.3 inch, mid range, nothing fancy, and I prefer lcd screen too. People who doesn't have pc, I understand why they want the high end tablets, but for us who have to many devices, we only need a midrange
Sounds like you need the fe+. That's probably on sale right now. If you check on my fe+ review I've got links in the description. Check out open box at Best Buy too, I got one for like 375 recently. That's a crazy deal
Hi there I’m a university student in first year engineering in the uk. I was wondering what tablet you would recommend for under £500, I would mainly use this for note taking and studying stuff. I would want it to last for 3-4 years too. Your help would be much appreciated, thanks.
On Samsung I am able to get the s9 fe 128gv wifi with slim keyboard cover for £400 as a deal, hence why I was interested in it. What tablet would you recommend?
Honestly, the FE is probably the way to go in your price range. You will get better performance for sure from the tab. But you will be able to do just fine with the FE I would say with what you're saying
For sure. It will be faster by a decent margin. More storage in the base model. More RAM. A better screen. And it has a fingerprint sensor and water resistance
"aggressive sales" you have no idea! I traded in my old broken s7 phone (not even my newer one) and got the new s24 plus, the newer samsung watch and this tablet free from Verizon🤯
You can. I guess it depends on what videos you're trying to edit. If they're just 1080p videos, I think you will be fine. You can buy luma fusion for like 30 bucks or you can find some other video editors out there. It should do okay. But this isn't a super high-end graphics tablet, so gaming or video editing won't be perfect. But it should do well
Are you referring to the S9 FE + or the S9 +? The S9 Plus is definitely a very nice improvement over the S7. It's amoled. So it's much better. The S9 FE+ has a larger screen. The screen quality is similar. Just not 120hz. I'd say they are pretty similar in quality though. You will enjoy the S9 FE + screen

Looking to get Tab S9 FE
Can i Sync the Excel Sheet to 3 or more Devices
So whatever i change it also changes on all my Devices
Eg: 2 Phone, 1 Tab & Windows Laptop
How do i do that ?
Please share link on how to set that up
This is my daily driver for the most part. Emails, MS Office, Samsung Notes, web browsing, multiple screen layout, Dex etc. It has handled everything I've thrown at it with great battery life. Great review.
It's a great tablet no doubt. Happy to see a nice FE tablet, it's been a long time coming.
How many hours would you say you get and is does the battery charge last on standby and powered off?
I think Samsung did a great job with the price point and the compromises they made with this device aren't too unreasonable when comparing it with it's competitors. I can think of a certain latest fruit device with a 60Hz refresh rate, a notch that should have been way less visible already and a usb-c that should have been there half a decade ago😂 Some compromises from tech companies are just inexcusable. Samsung did alright with this. Great review!
Thanks so much. Appreciate the comment too
Yes LCD screen and not even Dex lol

I Got the S9 FE+ 128/8GB Model & Immediately after that, I noticed Tab S8 is on sale at 20% more prise. If I seen that, surely I would have Got that. But with the water Resistance, larger Screen with decent display quality, and good enough processor I have got a good deal I will say. I tested it thoroughly and have noticed no slowdown in all the applications I an using. And I can get a 256 high speed SD card and a cover in that price.
Bought the 9 FE last week for my wife, to replace her S6 lite 2020. Samsung offered $250 trade-in, and a free cover, so it was a no brainer.
did the same thing
That's a great deal!
i just bought the tabket with my student discount and im glad to know that ive made a good descision with my purchase for my uni and hobby with this tablet :D
Glad it worked out for you!
@@Akulalilu Thank you so much for your reply :)
@@Akulalilu thank you, that is the comment i was looking for to know if i should buy it or not!
Sounds like this week do great for you
I used a 2018 10.5 tab a8 in university and loved it, it was awesome for the basics like notes google and TH-cam etc.
Exactly man that's my advice
I was thinking of buying a used Surface Pro 5 2017 8 gigs of RAM or this tablet. This is just a little more expensive than the Pro 5 used. Do you believe this tablet can perform the Surface Pro 2017..?
Traded in my tab S6 lite for the s9 FE for 199.99 plus the case for free 🎉 totally worth it. Have had it for 8 days now and im so in love ❤❤❤
Definitely a big jump up
Excited for mine to arrive. Was only $199 after the trade in offer for my tab s6 lite.
That's a GREAT deal for sure
same here, since wife barely used it i traded it in for me and will use my S5e as a spare, getting slow but AMOLED screen and quad speakers make it hard to get rid of.

Thanks so much for the heartfelt comment. It really means a lot
The FE versions are good enough for many users. I started out a S6 FE before moving up to the S8+.
Right. It's pretty good for the basics
@@AndroidDigest ikr! Right now the Galaxy S9 FE is only $350 USD which is why I started to research it XD
I love my S9 FE. I was able to get it on sale, plus I got a discount for the trouble I went through on the A8, plus got some off for being a member at the store here. Got it for relatively cheap.
Awesome. A great tablet for the money for sure
Glad you're liking it!
one other thing is that you can trade in your old tablet if you would like to. I got $250 credit for S6Lite v1 towards this, same price i paid 2 years ago for it. Cant wait to receive mine from Samsung.
That's a tremendous deal. And a major upgrade for sure
I got this primarily for digital planning so I didn't want to spend a lot. It has been working great for me!
It should be great for that! Hope you're still enjoying it
I just ordered the Fe plus considering my budget! as my first time using a tablet.I hope it is a good choice because i will use it more for taking notes for uni
I think it's a pretty good tablet overall
The S9 FE is currently on sale at Amazon Canada for $399 CAD. You can also bundle it with the Galaxy Buds FE for only $30 CAD (normally $140) for a total of $430 and a combined savings of $310 CAD.
Your review is great so I bought one. I've been using it for a while & I love it. Thank you❤
Awesome, glad you enjoy it!
It's currently $339 at Best Buy and $309 At Walmart. I just bought the 8GB 256 GB storage for $409 at Best Buy.
That's an awesome deal
Just ordered one of these in ireland. €550. Looks like a great tablet. Great review.

I just ordered this tablet. I had the S5 FE and I loved it.
Awesome, hope you enjoy it!
Got the s9 ultra for myself and s9 fe for my son. I like em both
Awesome. Great idea
I got this tablet because it has mobile data! I still use the P11 Pro Gen 2 and I've had it for 1 year now. I will use these tablets for many years.
That's good. You should enjoy it
I'm currently using an Amazon Fire HD 2020, that cost me $89.00.
This will be a massive upgrade! And I don't blame you. At this point I'd want this over the S8 for the updates too.
Would you recommend this for video editing as well? Thank you
Good for some basic video editing, not sure I'd recommend it for 4k, but for 1080p should be good.
Yo! I'm sorry, but the finger at 1:44

I get this on almost every video
Thank you for the review. Is Samsung dex fully functional on the Fe? Is the 8ram worth the price jump?
Thank you, like I mentioned in my other comment, this means the world!!!
But either one should work
@@AndroidDigest Thank you so much!!
Exactly, it's a great tablet, insane for the recent prices too.
Hi should I buy the S9 FE when I am going to game on it (Not that heavy games) Take notes Maybe TH-cam or Netflix and google and take it to school for learning- or should I go for the s8??? It is in my budget but I don't know. Please Reply?
I have a Samsung A54 phone, does samsung have a great ecosystem like apple products? Will I benefit choosing this over iPad?
Yes Samsung ecosystem is quite good
Very subjective. But I personally like having the same ecosystem between my tablet and phone. They have a ton of good earbuds. They have good watches and tablets, so it's I like their ecosystem
The S-pen will not cause damage/scratches over time on the screen? What brand screen protector do you recommend?
Sparin has always been a good screen protector brand for me. (Affiliate link from Amazon) - amzn.to/4aovNSW
As far as damage, obviously you can damage the screen but most people won't scratch or damage their screen with the s pen.
It's not easy to choose, I've got the budget
but the price difference between these 2 models will put me on the S9FE or S9FE plus I think, even if I'm reading negative comments about the exynos processor that make me hesitate. Is this processor better than the exynos processor on the S10 cell phone I have?
I just brought the Tab s9 fe n I love it the only problem is that I wish the battery last longer. It last a decent time
That extra 2GB ram and screen size for FE+ really had a huge price difference.
Exactly. That's the justification. Plus water resistance. And keep in mind there's less competition in the US too.

Then, if I need a tablet for university (taking notes, making documents and presentations), is that performance enough for me?
I would say so but everyone has different expectations
Hey, i wanna purchase the s9 fe+ for note taking, watching videos and stuff not much heavy tasks is it good for good for 3-4 years and how is the one ui in long run i mean does it lags or gets slow down?
I would definitely say that. Honestly every device will get a little bit slower over time, and that's when you just do a factory reset and back up your stuff. I don't expect it to be that slow even even in three or four years personally
@@AndroidDigest Thanks for your suggestion 😊 it's great to see you're still replying the comments
@@AndroidDigest I think I'm closer to the s8. Thanks my G
Absolutely
Thanks for rocking the comments for me 😂. Appreciated
I would just go to the battery settings and see what is draining your battery. It should tell you what apps are and you can go from there
Hey, would you use a screen protection on the screen or not? I read somewhere on the internet that it destroys the spen's tip, but I am also afraid of scratches on the screen surface.
I would recommend using a tempered glass screen protector, yes. If somehow the tip of the spen wears down, you can order replacement nibs on amazon, even if they are from a third party.
Is any C-type adapter alright to use to charge this tablet or is there a certain one required and if so which one ?
Any usb c charger should work

@@AndroidDigestyeah, the sales are crazy
I want a new tablet and 11 tablet is great for potability....so...between this and s9 which one is better im going to use it for multimedia so i want a really nice speakers and screen. Thanks
The S9 is much much better, but that's not the best question, of course it's better, it costs more, has a better screen and processor, and s pen, and a better refresh rate, it also costs hundreds more, typically.
The real question is, do you have the money for the s9, and how high are your expectations? The S9 is the go to for sure, but yeah, the S9 FE is more than good enough for a lot of people looking to save money.
Hi does the difference between 6gb and 8gb ram versions of tab s9fe affect its longetivity?
But that won't have any effect on longevity in my opinion
thanks.@@AndroidDigest

Great review. Thanks.
Thanks so much!
is it worth upgrading to the s9 fe plus coming from the s7 fe? or should i go for the s9? i could get both for the same price ($300 after trade in) but i love the 12.4" screen .
7:15 can someone explain how will it charge the s-pen then plzz? Planning to buy one..
It doesn't have to charge. It doesn't have Bluetooth features. So it doesn't need to be charged. Similar to how spens were with the Galaxy Note series. They weren't charging while in the phone, they just didn't need to be charged
@@AndroidDigest thanks, really helpful 😇
Hmm, am I missing something? Just unpacked the S9 FE tablet and keyboard expecting it to be backlit as advertised. Couldn't get it to backlit, contacted Samsung and they said it doesn't have that functionality. I'm taking it back to store tomorrow to see what either I'm doing wrong or an answer to why retailers are advertising wrong.
Keyboard isn't backlit. No keyboard is backlit except the S9 Ultra keyboard. That's the only Samsung backlit keyboard. And the S8 Ultra
Hello, I have a question and sorry for the English, I am using the translator; If I get a USB C to HDMI adapter, can I make powerpoint presentations on a projector for college work with this tablet?
No. Unfortunately it only has usb c 2.0. so it won't work with those adapters. I did hear a mhl adapter may work. But haven't tested it yet
Awesome video bro... just one question... will the s9 covers available online match s9 fe tablet.. have ordered one online that's why...
Yes they will. I mention in the video too. I've tried to cover all my bases here. But feel free to ask any more questions
@@AndroidDigest thanks a ton sir , for your suggestion 🤝💯
I recently bought this (India) (S9 FE). can we replace the nib of this S Pen. I don't see clear article or video which confirm that. I could see for S pen Pro though
You can, yes, but I don't think any extra ones come in the box.
Can the tab s9 fe+ use the sane accessories for tab s9+ ?
Maybe a video for it?
Yes. I did review the keyboard cover. So I do have that video out. But yes. Accessories work with either tablet
Is it fast enough to open PDFs, watch videos, and browse the internet at the same time?
Definitely. Should be pretty good for that
I bought the S9+ I'm enjoyint it at home. But my to everywhere tab has been my a7 lite. The purfect size to carry with you.
Interesting! Glad you like both
How much time required to save 1hr video editing and rendering 1080 p or 720 in s9 tab
It really depends on the program you use. I've got so many comments to catch up on so can't test this minute but hope someone can help you figure it out
This is perfect for taking notes in college
glad you're enjoying it
Thank you for the video. Which model of the S9 series supports a SIM card ?
For sure, it's great for students!
please this tablet and the regular tab s8 from last year, which is a better buy. the prices are about same in my countyr
The S8 is better if the same price. For sure. It's faster. Better s pen. Better refresh rate. Just no water resistance and 1 less software update
Yes the FE fits all the Tab S9 accessories including the keyboard
Thank you for this video.
Absolutely. Glad for the comment
great video, incredibly comprehensive! thank youuu
Thank you so much!
Does s pen needs charging? If yes , the how?
No. No charging needed
As the S-pen doesnt connect via BT , is palm rejection possible in samsung notes/ MS one note ?
Thanks in advance
Yes. Palm rejection is still there
How can I track my S pen ? I can’t find it on the more advanced S pen settings
I know you can set it up in the settings of most Galaxy Tabs to beep of it gets lost. The Bluetooth s pens you may be able to set up for tracking before hand. But not afterwards. The FE doesn't connect with Bluetooth though. So think you may be out of luck
i am getting this and it will be used to play roblox so i hope this is good thank you
Is the s9 fe better than iPad 9th gen? Im thinking of upgrading
Lmao
Is it goof for gaming
Thanks!
Thanks so much Sabrina. Means a ton
@@AndroidDigest you bet!
Have also found an s8 in “excellent condition” for £580 but not sure if it’s worth it
Honestly, the FE is probably the way to go in your price range. You will get better performance for sure from the tab. But you will be able to do just fine with the FE I would say with what you're saying
@@AndroidDigest thank you so much for your reply
Great review! Subscribed!
Thanks so much! Means a lot
Waiting for my lavender variant which I ordered today!
Nice, enjoy it!
Would this be a upgrade from the s6lite
Yeah they are very aggressive with it, that's for sure.
awesome deals you got too
Can i edit videos in this tablet? Will it be slow?
But it should do well
Great review!
Thanks so much!
please you compare the screen quality of the LCD panel in this s9+ vs s7
and thanks for your review :D
Are you referring to the S9 FE + or the S9 +? The S9 Plus is definitely a very nice improvement over the S7. It's amoled. So it's much better. The S9 FE+ has a larger screen. The screen quality is similar. Just not 120hz. I'd say they are pretty similar in quality though. You will enjoy the S9 FE + screen
