Angel Blade had the problem of using a couple of still frames whenever it had to cut corner, and I still old GTS Carrera over Obari Carrera. Studios still get Obari to direct Mecha battle and gattai sequences though.

The names don't really look the same in English but their pronunciation is legit two consonants off in Japanese, and one's just switching the voicing (g -> k). Makes sense though with the other character exports, like the obvious Captain America clone.

Yet for some AWFUL reason the anime focuses on boring-ass Kyosuke, is overly serious, COMPLETELY botched Shaia's story (she's a space cop disguised as an idol singer and she comes from a planet where everyone looks like her), and sidelined Son Karin. I demand a do-over.
