Escape from Gringotts at Universal Orlando actually has the same kind of mechanism, only it's not into a vertical drop, so people don't think of it as all that extreme.

I'm sorry, but I would have serious doubts about this ride, and I ride everything. This concept of coaster just doesn't feel right, with me. I just don't feel like it looks safe, although I have seen this coaster on video, many times.
There's usually many in-built safety mechanisms. For example, the holding brake is usually defaulted to on in the case of a power failure or motor malfunction. Additionally, if it does not move to a point within a certain amount of time, or if it isn't perfectly lined up in a certain amount of time, the computer says "nope, don't drop this shit. Something is wrong." But then again, who wants to be stuck on top of that hill while they fix it? I don't blame you.
in order to make this happen you have a lot of safety the computer calculates the time that it takes to make the track connect if it is 2 seconds off the ride shuts down also when moving the safety is on by default first then checked and then the arm moves third if even a small wire breaks down the ride goes back to safe by default trust me it cant get anysafer than this one ;)
Just so you know, you are infinitely more likely to die on either the plane ride to Taiwan, or on the car ride to this amusement park, than on the ride itself :D
The Alveys are kind of a frugal family bc they don't eat out THAT much and they have annual passes to their home parks (Disney World, Universal Orlando) so they don't have to pay for tickets as always + they get paid through ad revenue on TH-cam.
Yeah I agree, it was a little excessive... Right from the beginning you can tell that he was just hungry to draw attention to himself trying to be funny in front of the other passengers (& viewers, I guess). I'm sure he's an alright guy, we've all had our cringe-worthy moments... It was just TOO obvious that he was just trying way too hard to sound funny - but no one was laughing. I saw a video of this rollercoaster where the carts come at full speed towards the tilt and then come to an immediate halt. This one it goes up the hill slowly to the tilt and then it tilts downwards.

Every Rollercoaster has Failsafe. If somethings not workin' correct, the computer just says: "Wha? STOP! WAIT A MINUTE!"

It's not like there aren't redundancies and backups. It's not like train will just fall or they could tilt it back down to evac.
It broke once, track didn't align after tilting due to high winds. Passengers were stuck facing down at 90 degrees for about 3mins
Don’t worry about that, the rides completely safe and there’s multiple safety measures, the train won’t just fly off lol
