It's crazy how this video showed up three times in my feed and i was like "it's impossible i can't have a secret admirer" So i finally had to click it.
One day I decided to do an experiment at school. I am a pretty popular kid at school, and what I did was I acted cool for 1 week. I noticed that people who knew me were avoiding me a lot more than usual. The next week I acted like myself. I’m always kind and respectful to everyone at school and more people saw who I was and they are all my friends. Don’t become a person that shows off or anything like that because people will never like you. Just be yourself and be kind to others and they will always be nice to you as well.
Popularity means shit...this is coming from a guy whose been popular in school for the most part...popularity doesn't feed your family doesnt earn you money...the knowledge and skills you acquire in school does...your success is far more important than your popularity...so it doesn't matter if you act cool or kind to other what matters is that you're willing to act cool with your distractions and be kind to your goals

I am working on myself, I’m trying to be the best version of myself, but…i don’t know if or when I’ll find that person. I just hope I do, I hope god has a special person picked out for me. Anyway…at least i have my family and online friends, i just need to make more friends IRL. And hopefully…someday, I’ll find the right person for me.
Same here man, unfortunately I have no real life friends, only online ones. I never really seen it, but I started to realize how lonely I was. I realized how important love actually is. Once I did realize, I done the same thing, sitting on my chair one night, in the dark, as tears fell from my face. I put my trust into God. I know he'll be there for me, he knows whats best for all of us. When the time comes, we'll find that person. The best thing we could do, is show our appreciation to them, every day. Thank God for all we have, and be greatful. One day, we'll all find someone if we haven't already. The longer we wait, it'll be so much better then rushing it. Because again, good things come to those who wait. We will be patient, and eventually one day, someone will share their feelings for us, and we will do the same. For now, we continue working on ourselves. Fixing our issues, whether it's repeating sin, or some other problem. It'll all be worth it, I can promise you that. All we need, is to put our trust in God.
Similar situation, only in my case I thought I found the one at my workplace, and ik people say don’t date your coworkers but it’s not like the workplace I was at was gonna be where I’m at for the rest of my life, but anyway, I thought she was the one, I could never confess to her face because for one we were in different departments and second because we rarely spoke to each other, I didn’t wanna break the mutual respect we had as coworkers, so I did sum stupid shi where I sent them a message request on instagram like a week ago since I had them on my suggestions all summer long, till this day my message is still pending to be accepted, but in a way it made me realize that I really had to lock in with myself so as long as you got goals that you’ve always wanted to do, you’ll never feel that sense of loneliness, in my case I’m goin to adult high school just for the sake of it because I got nothing to do till I start uni next year
Same, I have a lot of insecurities and trust issues and just wanna be able to talk to someone with getting nervous or worried. Worried I will never find true self again. Just like you I also need more IRL friends but man is it hard. Couple of my previous friends had stabbed me in the back big time on one of my projects I was working on. Makes it hard to find new friends, but overtime you’ll figure it out. For now it’s just waiting .

That’s happening to me too lol, I was just thinking about this girl I like who I think maybe likes me back (I wish) and then this video shows up when my parents had yelled at me and no one had been talking to me. Really comforted me right now and made me feel wanted by at least one person.
Someone called me ugly one time. People act like I’m annoying, and people ignore me. It determines how I look at myself. But I met some people, one of them in particular, that don’t make me feel bad about myself. And I kinda have a crush on that one particular person. He doesn’t make me feel at all bad about my identity (I am nonbinary), my looks, or my personality. He’s just always there for me, and that’s really special. It really helps to focus on improving yourself rather than trying to live up to the standards of others. Obviously, when you’re working a full-time job (like I am), there’s ALWAYS standards that you have to meet in order to avoid being fired or laid off. And those can cause a lot of stress as well. But if you focus on improving YOUR speed, efficiency, etc. instead of worrying about what your employer thinks of you, you’ll have a much better and more fulfilling career-and job security is just an added bonus!

One thing that helped me a lot was learning about how habits work, there is the cue - the trigger that makes you start the habit ex. boredom, the routine - the main action or behavior of the habit that you wish to change, and the reward - the momentary relaxation or pleasure that results from the habit, even if it is short lived. I recommend finding the thing in your life that starts you down that path, whether it is boredom, anxiety, or generally feeling bad, etc, then finding something else in your life that gives you a high amount of joy, something that you can feel good about. It is much easier to replace segments of a habit loop that to build a new habit or completely dismantle one. If you shift the routine of the habit, and end up with a similar reward, and truly believe that you can change, then you will be able to change. I struggled from the same issue that you currently face, I found that whenever I read the bible that after a bit I’d experience a deep sense of joy, which is what I used to change my habit. I do think the other things such as a quick workout or doing something that you truly enjoy such as a hobby could work too. i hope someone finds this comment. i was bullied a lot when i was younger because i wanted attention and just did annoying shit that i thought was funny to gain attention. I now realise why people hated me so much was because i was a dick head. That lead me to become a better person, but that also sparked an anxiety of not being liked by everyone which haunts me. I was playing this basketball game with mates (i’m shit at basketball) and kept on messing up and the other kids were annoyed. A few days after that when we start playing basketball again, one of my mates tells me that no one likes me after the first game. I thought about it all day and i just broke down. I had no reason to cry: i have friends, family and go to a good school. i have no reason to be sad. Can someone tell me why? i wanted to make new friends so i try getting involved in everything. i get told by one of my mates to be myself but for some reason i find it hard to be myself. Please someone help me.
That really sucks. I’m not really sure about myself right now and where I will go. Last Monday, C and A (their name initials) are kind of together now and M and R confessed the day after. I feel a little jealous and I started really wondering about life, especially love and crushes. Before, I was already wondering about life because I’ve felt more sad since the pandemic. I am now being more conscious of what I do and say in my life now. As for you, just hang out with your friends (the good ones who support you) and maybe ask your parents for more extracurriculars like basketball so you could exercise, make more friends, have fun, and be healthy! It is not uncommon for those who are suicidal to suddenly seem happy. Not because they aren't thinking about it anymore, but because they have already decided that they are going to end it. This is one of many signs that they are planning to do it. Make sure that your friend is actually alright and see that they get help.

About two or three years ago I was constantly looking for the approval of “the popular group” at school, and because of this I let them push me around and make fun of me. Little did I know at the time, however, that this just made me the laughing stock of their group and that it didn’t help me get their approval at all. It took me until last year to make a change and stand up for myself; I realized where I stood in relation to them so I left, and I’m so glad I did. I also don’t think it’s a coincidence that I started to stand up for myself at the same time that I really started to look into self-improvement and becoming the best version of myself. Your videos have helped a lot, so thank you!

One thing that helped me a lot was learning about how habits work, there is the cue - the trigger that makes you start the habit ex. boredom, the routine - the main action or behavior of the habit that you wish to change, and the reward - the momentary relaxation or pleasure that results from the habit, even if it is short lived.
I recommend finding the thing in your life that starts you down that path, whether it is boredom, anxiety, or generally feeling bad, etc, then finding something else in your life that gives you a high amount of joy, something that you can feel good about. It is much easier to replace segments of a habit loop that to build a new habit or completely dismantle one. If you shift the routine of the habit, and end up with a similar reward, and truly believe that you can change, then you will be able to change. I struggled from the same issue that you currently face, I found that whenever I read the bible that after a bit I’d experience a deep sense of joy, which is what I used to change my habit. I do think the other things such as a quick workout or doing something that you truly enjoy such as a hobby could work too. I wish you the best of luck on your journey.

i was bullied a lot when i was younger because i wanted attention and just did annoying shit that i thought was funny to gain attention. I now realise why people hated me so much was because i was a dick head. That lead me to become a better person, but that also sparked an anxiety of not being liked by everyone which haunts me. I was playing this basketball game with mates (i’m shit at basketball) and kept on messing up and the other kids were annoyed. A few days after that when we start playing basketball again, one of my mates tells me that no one likes me after the first game. I thought about it all day and i just broke down. I had no reason to cry: i have friends, family and go to a good school. i have no reason to be sad. Can someone tell me why? i wanted to make new friends so i try getting involved in everything. i get told by one of my mates to be myself but for some reason i find it hard to be myself.

That really sucks. I’m not really sure about myself right now and where I will go. Last Monday, C and A (their name initials) are kind of together now and M and R confessed the day after. I feel a little jealous and I started really wondering about life, especially love and crushes. Before, I was already wondering about life because I’ve felt more sad since the pandemic. I am now being more conscious of what I do and say in my life now.
As for you, just hang out with your friends (the good ones who support you) and maybe ask your parents for more extracurriculars like basketball so you could exercise, make more friends, have fun, and be healthy! Something I learned is that if you are fit and you exercise and take walks more and eat healthier, you are also happier and more positive inside. Stay safe and have a good day/night!
