Raga Marwa | Pandit Jasraj (Album: Evening Ragas) | Music Today

Pandit Jasraj is an Indian classical vocalist. He belongs to the Mewati gharana of Hindustani classical music. Jasraj's vocal range extends three-and-a-half octaves and uses precise diction, a trademark of the Mewati gharana's style of khayal. He has also done extensive research in Haveli Sangeet under Baba Shyam Manohar Goswami Maharaj to create numerous innovative bandish (composition). Raga Marwa is a very melodious Raga. In this Raga, Rishabh and Dhaivat are considered the main notes respectively and therefore these notes are highly emphasized. This Raga is not very easily expandable. Raga Marwa instigates the feeling of detachment or renunciation from the pains and pleasures of the material world.

@@zabinitro​​⁠​​⁠ The only reason TH-cam is where it is is they happened to a video streaming service which people adopted before anyone else and, Google, being able to afford buying the company, is now making about 10% of their gargantuan profits from the site, benefiting from all the actually talented people on their site (talk about freeloading). These people aren’t Einstein, just right place right time, and are now making more money than anyone could possibly need in 100 lifetimes. It’s a disservice and insult to the population of the world that fine art be interrupted so the marketing machine can try and force feed us garbage so those at the top can make a few extra pennies. At least in this case 68% of that it’s going toward this music label, and really it should be like 90%, the incredible musicians here are the people with actual real societal value, not the billionaires who played their cards right in making TH-cam and such. And TH-cam premium is even worse at 55%, but I will concede if you pay it you are supporting TH-cam channels much more than ads, though you might be better off actually buying stuff from them like music recordings in this case. Anyways, I’m sure most people would be willing to watch five ads at the beginning of the video if it meant we were able to listen to masterful music without having it be spit on by some bs target ad.
