HE has not been banned from swimming in competitions, HE has been banned from taking part in WOMENS competitions. HE needs to give back all the medals and trophies he stole by competing against WOMEN.
I am 100% blue-wave registered Democrat and this whole transgender sports debate is ridiculous. Lia should have never been allowed to compete against biological women.

I'm very liberal about most of my views. I am definitely not feeling open to men competing as women. I understand that transgender individuals are trying to find there way through life and just exist within a very complex and complicated society. I wish them all the best. I draw the line when they say its not fair they are not treated like a biological women! So let me think about that for a second! Yeah No! That is kinda outrageous on so many levels. If you are born a biological male unfortunately it disqualified you from competing in any women sports as a woman! No! I don't believe it's possible to even consider allowing it ever! No! Sit down and shut up because this conversation is finished.

Maybe people who want to be professional athletes should not transition until after their sports career is over - like Caitlyn(nee Bruce) Jenner. If they feel they must transition earlier, they must give up their sports ambitions. Competitions for 'trans only' athletes seems a fair compromise.
Just read an article about poor Lia Thomas’ Olympic dream being crushed by new ruling. Bless her heart - she’s been a “woman” for a couple of years but thinks it’s OK to crush the dreams of girls that have been training for this all their lives. Thomas certainly has the right to transition but since he did it after he went thru puberty, he doesn’t have the right to participant in women’s sports. And if he was a real woman, he wouldn’t want to.
That woman to the left is unbelievable. They made a trans category meaning they can still compete just not in the woman’s. Why do people think just because we don’t want them in woman’s category that means we don’t want them competing at all. That is completely beside the point. It’s like the entire point of the conversation goes right over their heads because it doesn’t fit their agenda which is to dominate across the board. Just compete in your own category. That doesn’t mean he can’t compete at all, that means compete in your own category, that’s it. Literally nothing more to it then that. There was even an entire trans category specially created and no one signed up! Crazy I wonder why, lol

There were no "Trans" category. The proposal was for an Open category in which anyone could compete.

When you look at Lia's overwhelming dominance of womens swimming, the argument that addition/blocking of hormones somehow equalizes the playing field is exposed as utter nonsense. The implicit message that Lia is better simply because she tries harder is doubly insulting to her female competitors.

The point is, the trans community is trying to have it both ways, and people who should know better are facilitating this...
They only did it for swimming. It's not for all sports. So there are still some womens sports that transwomen are coming in. This is why everyone needs to boycott the entire Olympics until there is a total ban across all sports.

The reason zero applications were forwarded for the open meet was because it was voluntary. It should be compulsory. If you have undergone the full transformation, or are merely "identifying as" then you are left only one option, and that's the open meet/group. Period. Making it voluntary is the whole reason no one participated.
Why would they be mediocre as males, and then compete against other mediocre males "identifying as" females knowing that they will likely be just as mediocre, when they could instead compete against women and dominate? You can't defeat biology and body chemistry. Once you've passed puberty, you're locked in to the genetic advantages (or disadvantages) inherent to males or females. You can mute or enhance to a degree chemically, sure, but you are competing against biology.
If a field has been made available to trans athletes, similar to how the Special Olympians don't compete against the abled Olympians and have their own thing...the trans community should also have their own thing and be happy with that. This way you compete against a more level playing field. Mediocre against mediocre. This is the way.
Also, they need to stop using the "Cis" slur. That's repulsive and offensive.
