When Paul says we are the temple, he is creating the picture of the spiritual reality, that Gods Spirit dwells in us, just as it did in the physical temple. This helps us understand that just as the physical temple had to be purified and kept holy, so must our physical bodies. Ezekiel 40-48 is definitely a physical temple. So many scriptures yet to see their fulfilment in this physical world before eternity.

Why do the Jews insist on building the 3rd temple at the existing temple mount location? David originally purchased the threshing floor and Solomon built the temple. God did not instruct them to build it there, correct? Is historical tradition the reason why the construction of a 3rd temple is being delayed?
