Money Pit is EASILY the greatest series on this channel. It could warrant being it's own channel outright. Only Hilow can compete with this series. As funny as peaking the mic shouting "HRSPWERS" is the first eight thousand times, Money Pit has more subdued humor along with pseduo-scientific testing and useful, practical information, bundled with some education on top of it. Money Pit taught me how suspension components worked, which was an area I was really lacking in. Continue the series, it's the absolute best Donut has to offer.
They did every little thing on the miata down to radio and shift knobs. This one only got things that should make it faster to drive offroad and not much else.
Jesus that sequence for the ad gave me chills, especially the Old-School Nolan cam, integration. Y'all make me want to build a dream car and create a film at the same time.
If this is the final episode of the season, the next one should be an old restoration. It's the most different from the racing minded builds so far and one of the most popular routes car enthusiasts take in their diy journeys. I'm sure the Nolans of the world would love it too
Great season guys! I would loved to see a re-maping for more torque, by the way, the handbrake does nothing, obviously all the decals improve like +25 ponies on that E36
You should do the most important upgrade. Get a lesson from a professional and see how much time you can shave off. I'd like to see how that stacks up compared to the vehicle mods. I'll be clear you did great driving I'm just sure there is room for improvement.
Yeh they should have logged the track data too... I'd love to see a break down of the fastest areas... I think the manual transmission hurt him because he was used to down shifting in a turn.
Idk I think that depends on why you modified the car, like if you make it more suitable for a specific type of racing like certain essential drift, rally, or hill climbing mods they are very worthwhile but if you just want a car that’s fast on the road your probably better off with just buying a new car
they are a bunch of them in euro rally amateur... i considering my own e36 i4 engine swap for i6, sperr differential, shortshifter hidraulic handbrake with a nice suspension and just do offroad !

I feel like some ideas were left out of this one. I think the biggest improvement here isn't the lap times, but the safety and reliability. Upgraded cooling components prevented down time and while there was no contact with anything that could seriously damage the car, the roll cage, skid plates etc were all there in case of an accident. Great series though! Makes me want to offroad more
He removed his helmet because he couldn't see shit. They prob used in-car footage with helmet to still show us that we should use a helmet. Just my bet
They probably didnt feel safe being so close to Zach obviously missing turns and not being able to see so they clipped in a bunch of other moments where they could be that close

Im from Finland and we love rally here. So i liked this build sooo much and i would love to see more videos about this car being used and modded. You should do a rally competition with donut media members and fans
I'm confused, you mentioned recently there haven't been many performance mods. Those stickers should be at least +5hp EACH, and with as many as you have you should be getting Bugatti level numbers on the Dyno :D
We did this back in the day with Ford Falcons in the Australian outback. Two EL's and an AU.. Can confirm, low power rear-wheel drive dirt racing is alot of fun, especially if you have your mates in the other cars. Set a course up, and go have fun.
Zach is a really good driver, but I think his time would drastically improve if he learns how to take a proper rally racing line, with only the necessary amount of oversteer.
May not have been a lot of performance mods. But most were necessary mods to keep tracking it more than one or two times. That's a car that will do 1:25 lap after lap, a stock one would let go pretty quickly. Either the cooling, the stock suspension, the oil pan, or even your legs from holding you in place in the stock seats. And if you ever rolled it.... You'd be pretty thankful that cage and harness were there.
Try downshifting in your turns when you e brake you should get faster that way. Really think this one was a cool build I like to see a more classic rally style keep up the great work guys.
I loved ebay way back in the early days, and then fell out love because there were not any deals, just people wanting more, no warranty, or customer service; it is cool to see them turn the corner and say lets make it right. I haven't put my recent money down with modern ebay, but I appreciate they are trying hard to win me back.
What would've been really nice to know is how much influence a rally diff or even a 4wd conversion would affect laptime. That would take a lot more time to i'd guess.

$13K for a car that is barely faster than stock? No, not even close. They could have just bought a manual trans e36, put some knobby rally tires on it and done just as well for 1/4 of what they spent.

I’m currently in the process of turning my 2006 Saturn ion 3 into a rally car. I will say there’s been some ups and downs. Overall its been a lot of extra custom work to get everything to fix and get it running well. Not fully where I want it to be but it’s been more of a fun challenge to get a car no one expects to be something impressive
I'll keep watching as long as you keep having us and making videos! this was one of my favorite builds because I've always wanted to build one just like this. The only things i would've done differently is MO POWA BABY!!! I would've slapped a WUTANG WAR WHISTLE on that Beast!
I know right haha 😂 I have 3k in my build and 1100$ was nearly all tires in the two times having had to replace tires since owning it. Most of the the work also went into replacing old bushings and motor mounts and full service to get it up to snuff before suspension mods.
What I wanted to say is : with 13k money wasted for shit modification, I think this was NOT WORTH at all considering he replaced many of them but barely give results. I say that just changing suspension, adding skid plates and adding rollbars itself was more than enough to cut times for about 2-3 seconds. If I dare to say, 5k is at most excluded from Transmission swap from Auto to Manual. Not being cocky, but his modification always being off-route many times even though I aware that kind of hobby is expensive, but its not recommended to waste unneccesary things.
Congratulations on an awesome build! Loved watching this entire series and learned a lot about mechanical engineering that puts together a car like the BMW. With a vehicle about as old as I am goes to show you there is still a long road ahead and many miles to cover, even after the new polish runs through. Thank you for your creating this channel guys! I know right haha 😂 I have 3k in my build and 1100$ was nearly all tires in the two times having had to replace tires since owning it. Most of the the work also went into replacing old bushings and motor mounts and full service to get it up to snuff before suspension mods.
What I wanted to say is : with 13k money wasted for shit modification, I think this was NOT WORTH at all considering he replaced many of them but barely give results.
I say that just changing suspension, adding skid plates and adding rollbars itself was more than enough to cut times for about 2-3 seconds.
If I dare to say, 5k is at most excluded from Transmission swap from Auto to Manual.
Not being cocky, but his modification always being off-route many times even though I aware that kind of hobby is expensive, but its not recommended to waste unneccesary things.

With a vehicle about as old as I am goes to show you there is still a long road ahead and many miles to cover, even after the new polish runs through. Thank you for your creating this channel guys!
