Are you sure we need to fill tank with water with the descaling solution? I always have left over water after descaling cycle which means I am wasting descaling solution.

Hi m, Using as directed assures the proper concentration. With some experience, you could adjust amount of water added. If doing that suggest you adjust the amount of straight descaler used by a similar percentage.

The machine might indicate that you need to empty the drip tray.
Make sure that you replace the drip tray and continue because the first cycle of the descale might not be done yet.

Hi m, Thanks for the comment. I try to be mindful of water use. Low flow shower heads at home etc. Lucky to live on the Great Lakes with abundant water supply. Recently too much water with billions of dollars in damage due to high water levels causing shoreline erosion.
