    Thanks! I used this video to replace the gear box/axle on my Craftsman! Easy to do. Took about an hour.

    Thank you ,i was trying to find out if I could use the same grease as in the bearing holders also in the gear box .Now I know ''yes'' . Some gear boxes take gear lube . But not here .

    ah,....shouldn't you use a little lubrication when reassembling? everything looks a little dry and ripe for seizing.

      Hi Bob, in the video, we do demonstrate lubing the side bearings with a grease gun. The augers and impeller do not spin on the shaft so they don’t need lubrication. The rear bearing is sealed but you could put some extra grease on it if you wanted to. If you are concerned about the parts rusting, it wouldn't hurt to add grease to the parts as you assemble them but it's not a must. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback!
