Soft pastels are such a pleasant medium. Instantly ready to use, no drying time and very little clean up, the sensuous feeling of the buttery sticks on the sanded paper is a delight.

I'm interested in starting to "paint" in this style, what cheap brand for beginers is recommended for the soft pastels?, i will buy carbotello for the pastel pencils.

Carbothello for pastel pencils is a great shout, and Unison Colour soft pastel sticks are a good investment, they last a long time and go a long way
