The whole room is fantastic!! . Love the tile it just beautiful. The lighting is very nice and we had the same issue with hole size, my husband just filled it all in and it worked but you could buy a smaller medallion and that would cover the hole.

Bravo 👏🏼 As far as lighting goes, you could wait a few days or so, and see how it goes. It could be that it may or may not be, the right fit for the space & the color palette. Overall, it’s a beautiful transformation for sure.

I am usually not a fan of gray, but this green/gray is understated and warm and beautiful! I like it so much. If I were you, I would paint the shoe cubbies this color too. I think the white makes them stand out more because the other colors in the room are more muted and natural. About the lights, I was surprised by them at first, but by the end, I really liked them. They remind me of lights that might be in an old English pub or maybe a French restaurant. I think they’re cool and I trust your design decisions. We have the cat version of the doggie door.

On the ceiling cap, I'd try a good lighting store where you can buy parts of fixtures to make your own. Just ask for replacement caps. I've bought many different types as my hubs is a retired master electrician and got the parts for various jobs we had. Just found you while looking for some ideas for our new build, really enjoyed this & will check out the others! 🙏🏽💙✌🏽

I love all the different wood tones and the checkerboard floor! Ingenious ideas to hide the poles with faux beams and putting the shoe cubby out of eye view! I think I agree with your hubs about the light fixtures- something about them don’t seem to match the rest of the mud room to me… I don’t know if it’s the green-gray cabinets clashing with the green glass or the style of the pendants or both. Looking forward to an update when you switch them out. I also love the auto dog door- didn’t know that existed!

Beautiful room. I truly like the green pendent lamps. Can you find a plate to fit or maybe a flat round piece to fit between the plate and ceiling. I am sure there is a way to fix this.

I love the lights! You can get a bigger light base or get a plastic or plaster ceiling medallion. I have both and it highlights ceiling fixtures.
