You can hear the birds rejoicing after it’s finished. So surprising that they’d be anywhere around really.

i love collecting real military COLT 1911 from 1912 to 1919 because they were used in both great world wars. a real early colt 1911 is a must for a collector or veteran
    why
    1. its militaria
    2. its rich history
    3. its collectible
    4. its a gun lol
    5. its got value
    6. can be used even to this day
    7. its extremely beautifull
    8. fits in anybodies hand
    9. big lethal bullet
    10. reliable
    11. plenty of parts available
    12. longest serving usa firearm ever like 80 plus years
can go on but most wayching this video already know that. keep up the great videos.

They are fine weapons no doubt, and great conversation pieces, but with today’s technology you can buy four really well made 1911’s that will not jam for the price of one original 1911. I think they should give immediate family of ww1&2 veterans first opportunity of hand picked 1911 colts, and charge us half price. I don’t think that’s such a crazy idea. Thankfully my grandfather brought back a Colt, Remington Rand, and a singer. He was very good with his hands. 😂

It is extremely powerful to hear the guns going quite from such a deadly war. I remember being a kid and seeing ww1 veterans. I wish i could go back in time and talk to them.

This is an amazing video. When the artillery stops and the bird starts chirping, it’s so poignant. It’s always astounded me how or why they kept fighting up to the final minute. It just seams so pointless looking at it through today’s eyes. Thanks so much for sharing this.

@@snappers_antique_firearms yes absolutely, I’m currently reading a book called Passchendaele the Sacrifical Ground. It’s very good, the authors took actual diary entries from WW1 soldiers and blended it into a continuous story. It flows incredibly well and really gives a taste of what it must have been like. Once I finish, I might do one of my book review videos that no one watches. LOL

@@spartan963300 thats not what this is. They had seismic equipment Underground they use for digging tunnels. and to see if the enemy was tunneling under them. They used the seismic activity and used a computer program that turns seismic activity into audible noise. This is the same program that they used to listen to what the center of the earth sounds like. that is what your hearing. So they use the seismic activity and played it like a record.
