There's a strong undercurrent of respect in this video for the Dragunov player despite that person using such a hated character. To study and adapt to what your opponent is doing is to also appreciate the changes they themselves are making in response to your own adjustments. To recognize the mental tug of war that is happening, and genuinely respect how clever they're being. It's a beautiful thing to go from "I'm so frustrated, I have no idea how to deal with what's happening" to "I see what they did there, that's so damn smart. Now how do I adjust in turn?" the more we learn and get better at the game. Another excellent video. Cheers, MC
drag really doesn't take much skill, there is a bit of carrying when it comes to people who use him. drag has a lot of oppresive safe strings and moves and he has arguably the best bait/punish string mixups in the game. drag isn't a hard character to use and he needs nerfs. the only problem is that if you nerf his moves frame data you kinda ruin the character entirely. i think the only nerf that would work with him without destroying his entire kit is nerfing his base damage and disallowing his two handed hammer down move from hitting low and making it +4 instead of +8 so the follow-up mashing can be sidestepped
We don't play the same chars but your videos are by and large some of the best formatted content I've seen for learning t8 yet. ESPECIALLY with how you did this replay review. Once to absorb then then a breakdown to understand. So good.
This is the best match analysis video I've ever seen! Please make this a series and make more of them! Guides are good for beginners and low level players, but I feel like for intermediate players trying to break into the higher ranks, what they need to learn (other than matchups) is how to think and how to adapt to your opponents. And these style of videos really help with that. Thanks!
This video was like an ESPN breakdown but for video games. Saw the match, great breakdown of both players, and saw some highlight reels. Really helps you learn as you watch, appreciate the skill of both players, and encourage players to try/improve in Tekken 8.
Sensational video! I loved to understand your thought process, how you made adjustments for your gameplan, that's something I struggle a lot with and this video was an amazing insight to how to do it myself! And it was also a great story breakdown of the fall, the rise and the victory of a single set!
Those analysis videos are the best thing ive ever found regarding tekken! I think after youve understood your own character it can be very overwhelming trying to learn all the other characters moves that give you trouble so you explaining your thoughts and adjustments is so valuable! Keep up the great work
Really good breakdown dude! Loved how your analysis not only had your thought process but also gave respect to the adaptation and options your opponent did. Keep up the great content!
watching gameplay analysis is always so helpful even if it's not from a character you play. It helps you learn so much from both the player and the enemy. Please keep doing these!
Not anywhere close to your level but the general thought process and seeing what moves you tend to favor during matches is really accelerating my Reina learning process. Thank you for the content, you're super underrated
Man, I'm a Reina main, and I got to shinryu thanks to you, your content is just fabulous, and I wanna thank you for all the knowledge you gave me and for improving my Reina every day
I love how you said that just keep strings in mind during pressure 😊 because I think when you have offensive advantage in this game we do tend to go for strings because to keep repeated plus frames and true airtight mixups you have to spend resources aka heat which will dissipate eventually. So people try to knowledge check to keep their advantage but if you know the strong you can catch them sleeping on you. You will get your turn but like you said be patient!! Really good analysis
Yes exactly! Game can feel shitty when you have no matchup knowledge, but really satisfying when you punish something with matchup knowledge 😂 thanks for your kind words 🙏
This video was amazing. The loss, adjustments, and breakdown of those adjustments were all perfect. I found you from our shared main but have stayed for the overall great content.
This video confirms it. I hit my new peak fujin and i was immediately barraged by high ranks that are fairly aggressive that i couldnt deal with. I know what i have to do. I just have to learn to be faster at adjusting. Your videos and other creators will help with all the knowledge i need. Keep it up!
Did not know you can chain her hell sweep from her heavens wrath stance by cancel ing /going into her wave dash w/e stance by pressing d/f in game 2 at 6:20. Interesting. Learned a lot watching.
Nice analysis! Very thoughtful. One note, I really don't like the interpolation when you do slow motion (I've noticed it in a few vids), it masks the actual frame data we're trying to see. Just a nitpick though, love these vids
Great Content my man. Been watchin the Tekken7 but never tried it out, turns out Tekken is way harder than I thought. Your channel is the reason I start playing. So thanks man and good luck on your Journey
It's always astonishing for me to see high level tekken play. When I play I just go for electrics which I missinput and lose a game, hope I can get to your level some day
I’m just a learning Reina noob so this is a great help. I know I ain’t good, cuz when that drag was near the wall, my thinking was “stonehead grab now!” 😂
Alright fine, I have watched way to many of these videos and they have helped so much I'll drop the sub lol But for real, as someone who is new to Tekken and 3D fighters, these have helps so much. Keep up the good work,
Forgot to subscribe, but following all your videos since t8 is out. Thanks for the great content ! What do you think about was 4,4 HW 3+4 as a combo ender in open field ? I think it's very reliable few options can beat it and it opens mix up on wake up.
Yeah it’s a really good option that i want to start using more, I’ve been doing 3+4 > ws4,4d as a wall combo which works really well. 3+4 spikes so the opponent can’t tech roll, and if they do anything except stay still (or maybe tap up) then ws4,4 hits them, then you get a HW mixup 👍 thanks for your support! 🙏
Thanks so much for these videos! Super helpful. I'm slowly but surely geting better with Reina, soon to reach Blue ranks. One part of Reina's kit that I feel is unexplored is her 1+4 duck move. Do you guys know any cool use cases for that move?
Not really outside of style points and overloading your opponent with different stances, you can use it to duck under high/mid mixups and get a slightly better punish 👍👍
Great breakdown. Personally I think conditioning oppos at the wall with unbreakable throws and force them to duck is the most disgusting thing ever been introduced in Tekken. It feels you guess all the time like youre in a lottery
This vid makes it seem like it's a huge mountain you have to climb if you want to be good at tekken but i imagine it can come fairly easily with time and consistency
@@MishimaComplexYeah I did incidentally figure out which move this was last night while labbing, but thank you for answering. I didn't realize you could get electrics out of it, i was mostly using it for moves like ws 3,4 when messing around with it.
One of my favourite parts of Tekken is seeing someone lose miserably at first. Gather data and then become an unstoppable killing machine.
I'm in between lose miserably and gathering data. I hope stage 3 comes soon. 😂
Real, everything to find the combo pattern and destroy him

Not sure why people hate him...he was so bad in T7 but got a few buffs and everyone hates him. But then you got characters like Victor
I’d have to respect the guy just on the basis of 1:33 lol

I’m gonna need a lot more videos like this. Like, all of them
by far the most helpful informational content I've seen for tekken 8

Appreciate it! ❤️
The quality of these videos goes beyond words. You are making learning this game a lot easier. Thanks a ton! Can’t wait for 10K!
I see what you are doing man. Your goal is to create an army of Reinas and take the Tekken world. You are the agent Smith of Tekken! Insidious!
This video was like an ESPN breakdown but for video games. Saw the match, great breakdown of both players, and saw some highlight reels.

Good shit, in this video!! I appreciate the supportive tone. Looking forward to the content
Loving your breakdowns.. lots of effort involved which is always appreciated.
What a masterclass.
Thank you for teaching us the Mishima ways.
tekken 8 is my first tekken & as someone who only play reina, all these videos are helping me improve soooo much lol thanks a lot
Your voice always reminds me of the colonel in MGS2 haha. Great video as always!
Great format and great analysis. Learning a lot from these videos about what to think about when playing matches. Subbed and I hope you do more!

I just got to garyu from their videos too. I didnt think I would be getting red as it's my first tekken game
Ayy congrats guys, keep it up! Thanks for your support 🙏
English is not my first language so I appreciate your effort to enunciate words so clearly. Thanks!

You’re a god bro I learn something new abt tekken every time I watch ur videos, thank you man
This video was amazing. The loss, adjustments, and breakdown of those adjustments were all perfect. I found you from our shared main but have stayed for the overall great content.
beautiful breakdown. definitely gonna implement that sidestepping realignment to my gameplan
I ordered an arcade stick just for Playing tekken 8 and reina , cannot wait to put all these great infos to test.

Im going to keeo saying this, your content is so good and if you keep it up your channel is just going to keep growing
Super clean editing and breakdown. I needed this. My Kaz is getting bodied in purple ranks 😅
great video. I love how you integrate so many of Reinas moves into play. So many Reinas just stick to a handful and never mix it up
the tips on how to gauge opponent habits and reactions is really insightful
Did not know you can chain her hell sweep from her heavens wrath stance by cancel ing /going into her wave dash w/e stance by pressing d/f in game 2 at 6:20. Interesting. Learned a lot watching.
These videos are amazing for new players to see how to think during a match and move away from flowcharts, I love it
Great video once again, dragunov is definitely one of the most oppressive characters to play against so it’s great to learn the counter play mind set
Great video. Sending it to some newer players. The closing statements you made were great
I main dragunov and showing me what i can or can't do really will improve my gameplay, thanks!
Your channel is absolute gold, hope to see more videos like this
"All right, I got destroyed", saying it so honestly and calm was hilarious LOL, great vid tho
Can’t wait to see that 10k vid, you’ll hit that milestone for sure with all these informative vids!

Dude, you own. I love your videos
You have earned a sub my man, great work
To be able to think while playing high level, fast paced chess is really something.
I love being here i love tekken. Ty for this video man
I play both characters, so I'm learning stuff for both!!
I'm so happy to be a part of your journey to 10k subs. #teammishima

the best tekken channel 🙏🙏🙏
Like always , fire contents
What controller are you using my dude? Great videos all around I watch them all! Keep it coming!
Keyboard! But I’ve played heaps on both stick and pad 👍

Now this is great content!
That's crazy that you have my exact Reina colors except the stripes for me are grey.
9:59, probably you could have done 4,2,2, qcf 1+2 string there after wall splat.
Excellent video
f-2d, 4))) Always pleasure to see someone else using my tips)

Reina bread and butter
Could you do a combo video for beginners? The one you have already is nice but consistent eletrics are not something i can do yet
amazing video
How are you doing the running moves without running? Like the jumping kick move at 8:50
INSTANT while running
i havent mastered it myself so i don't know how to explain it, your best bet is to search for a tutorial
I’m just inputting FFF3 really quickly 👍
Goat 🐐
Can you do these more often like it don’t even have to be with specific characters I just want breakdowns like this lol
What is the move that came out at 6:48 ? I've never seen it before.
It’s done with 1+4, it’s a high crushing stance with no attacks that come out of it, but you can cancel into crouch dash to do i12f electrics from 👍

Hey, Very nice videos.
Please make a video on how to counter Lars. He is so annoying to play against.
Dang it’s crazy how it’s “offence” and not “offense” in some places
beautiful tekken
wow that Reina 💜 thumbnail is so hot
You should make Jack-8 next
