    I know this is roughly 7 year old video but this is the first ever wig tutorial I've seen that didn't use crmping and ironing and a ton of hairspray

    • @LokevaLoke
      @LokevaLoke  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! It means a lot to hear that!! I still style my wigs like this, with occasional teasing/crimping on the roots for the volume!

      @@LokevaLokedo the spikes stay for a long time??? :')
      I bought all this sh*t to style my wig and kid you not just now saw your video I was like I would have only needed maybe... 1/3rd of the stuff I bought 😭
      Good to know you still do it this way, I was putting off styling my wig today mentally going over steaming, crimping , combing, teasing, more hair spray etc etc as a newbie it's overwhelming
      This method seems actually for beginners and doesn't require to dive into the deep end.

    • @LokevaLoke
      @LokevaLoke  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@ViktorErikFade I'm not careful with my wigs and do go out in the wind. The spikes stay, but you may need to retouch the hairspray or do minor retouches before wear, as usual. They stay after washing in cold soapy water, but you can lose some volume, which is nothing to worry about. You may want to restyle the wig again for another con or something!
      You can flip the wig upside down and hairdry it for more volume!
      Some of the new techniques are also useful, so you should try to find your own style. I like refusing my wigs for other characters, so I'm always hesitant about extreme styles, but I would love to try crimping and glueing wigs one day just for the experience!
      If you decide to crimp, try to straighten the fibers afterwards to remove the rougher waves and make the wig look more natural :)
      Let me know if I can help with anything else!

      @@LokevaLoke oh thats so helpful,
      I was going for knives new wig style from stampede
      And I got most of the pieces for hid manga based outfit.
      Do yoy think if I styled it now it would stay that way if set aside on the mannequin head with minor touch up to the spikes?
      And if I restyled it you think I would have to wash the product out or rinse it out and start the process over ?
      No one ever is really clear with that steps of the process

    i need to know how to part this synthetic lace front wig i have. it has an inch part on front but then the wefts behind that all go straight back and its hard to part, how would i do it for that?

    • @LokevaLoke
      @LokevaLoke  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never used a lace front wig, but I have heard that you need to apply a lot of heat on the roots of the wefts before doing any combing to the sides or other directions. Use a hair iron only on the roots to change the direction the wefts go?
      In case they are sewn down, you might need to unstitch them and sew them in the direction you need them to go to. It really depends on your wig's structure. It might be a pain in the ass!
      best of lucks!
