What they did to reboot the look of the T-800, was the change of the chest plate, the eye sockets are larger/wider, they heals are no longer round now they are flat, the neck is less wide considering how the hydraulic cables on the sides of the neck are spread out, and basically it is said that they are more reverse engineered than the old T-800 design
I'm still happy with my old Hot Toys MMS33 Endoskeleton...

I hope that hot toys rereleases this figure as a Terminator Dark Fate T-800 Endoskeleton but with the black shoulder sections being actually chrome silver and the shoulder tubes being glued in and not loose
When you took the back of the skull off, were those lil knobbies things that allowed you to change the direction of his eyes? Didn't catch you mentioning if they did or not...
When I saw the package with your background it kinda tricked my mind because the image cuts off at the ends.
I agree, it wouldn't be cost effective if it were all metal, but it should at least have a metal frame for durability and weight.
The black rings and the shoulder blades should be gunmetal color as per the movie.
I want Enterbay to make a solid stainless steel version with light up eyes
Nice review, the 1/6 scale endo i have isn't nearly this detailed (certainly not as easy to pose with the leg pistons). But god those hands look fiddly, would have been easier for them do do them as separate forearms that attach just below the elbow joint, that way, people wouldn't have to mess around with this method. Pose-able fingers might have been doable, if they'd made them out of solid metal, i guess.
I just display him without the gun because it just scares me too much that its messing with all the joints in the arms

I don't know, the details there but for the price and the piece I'd prefer diecast. But the paint looks great and don't see any finger prints sticking to he figure

They are not the same all Endoskeleton T800 no matter what movie they are in ?
this movie is criminally underestimated
Back then i didnt like the changes at first, now the only parts i have a problem with is the chest and heels. They could have left the chest plate exactly as it was, it looks better and doesnt change anything mechanically nor would it have looked out of date. I hate those big flat heels on the endo, i dont even think they work better mechanically. Im pretty sure Arnolds heels dont look like that.
Otherwise i can see Arnold in the rest of the endoskeleton which is pretty cool considering that on the original endo only the skull was based on Arnold.
The T-800 is gonna fall apart moving around before even terminating anything lol obsolete action figure but still cool

I have this figure and its honestly one of the most impressive figure hot toys ever made, the details on this figure are insane...its a masterpiece in my opinion
Of course many people dont like the fact that its made of plastic, but i honestly dont care..the figure is so beautiful and very impressive with all the details that diecast wouldnt add anything to it imo
To anyone wondering if its worth the price i say go and buy it, even if some people think that its missing a few accessories, you wont regret it
Its a masterpiece and the definitive Terminator figure in my opinion, its much better than any previous hot toys Endoskeleton figures

Good review but you're wrong about the black shoulders. In the movies its always been full metal finish, no black color pads
at all.
Look at the design and renders from the actual designer of the look. You're wrong
Posteriser watch Terminator Genisys and then come back and tell us. This model is from that film not T1 or T2 or T3. Jesus why do people not get that?
This is one of those figures where a couple of extra wires coming out the head and tucked down into the torso, eventually leading to a battery pack, will not look out of place. Hopefully someone smarter than me figures out a method to do this; the eyes need to be turned on as much as possible!

In which one? Did he mention Terminator 3? Otherwise every Arnie-Terminator has been a standard T-800.

Not a fan of Genisys but for collectors, the Hot Toys Terminator Genisys ENDOSKELETON is still better than what the Chronicle Collectables gave for the 1/4 statue.

The older design looks better and more balanced.
This has alot of parts that dont fit with other parts designwize. And its too bulky.
Chest part is the worst part of this figure, and its not good because the chest part is what you instantly see.

I dont understand why you get so offended when someone says something about the figure and the company taking advantage of us the consumer? I dunno i think maybe it could have came with some swap out battle damaged parts, maybe another type of weapon, the chip from the movie, maybe an altetnate head sculpt with the mouth open to show some expression, i dunno just something else that would warrant the price point a little bit more. And i was talking about the light up feature in the base. My fault in the video you said it didnt have it, i was mistaken no need to jump down my throat.

optibotimus I agree the level of detail is extraordinary. But I imagine when you hold it, because it's so plastic and light, it doesn't feel like a $250 piece. Should have been metal unquestionably in my opinion.

Carnage He can't. He's explained it multiple times.
Usually the white background is the _best_ background to use, because it avoids having to deal with color-correction in post-production. It also looks more professional.
This _particular_ figure didn't quite work as well with the white background due to being entirely silver/chrome, and to accommodate that Paul probably should have used a grey or black backdrop instead. Perhaps he didn't have backdrops in any other color though....
+YayaFingerButters chrome is a terrible thing to photograph and most everyone will tell you that. I don't know how many times people tell me to use a different background. It's not possible. It's a one piece table that has the back attached

Wrong terminator, and plus the extreme detail is what you pay for and trying to do that amount of detail with an all metal figure would make this thing cost well above 1000$
