This was so inspiring and delightful to watch. If this was my project, I might've made a hole in the bottom of the hat to put the lights in, so they shine down onto your cute little witch. But this is so lovely. Thank you for making this video
Oh my goodness, absolute perfection!!! I have to try this. I haven't pulled out my Halloween village for years, no where near the size of yours, but I think I may have to this year.
@@KelleyDoesStuffI’d love to see the power setup under tables for your village. I too do villages both Halloween and Christmas. It’s nice seeing actual setup videos showing the building process and not just before and after shot. Great job
Ok- when I have everything set up I’ll do a video! It is a nightmare and web of cords. 🙈🙈 I use power strips and crawl under the tables to plug them in every night. I’d like to use timers, but with so many cords, I get nervous about having them plugged in all the time. Do you use timers?
@@KelleyDoesStuffyes. I have a set of WiFi plugs. I have my village going into a 18 outlet surge protector and then plug the surge into my WiFi plug. I have everything going into my amazon alexia. It’s nice saying turn on village or make it Halloween. If you have multiple surge you can break them up by using a WiFi plug for each.
Oh my gosh you made my day!!! Thank you so much!! I get the foam at Home Depot. They do have similar foam at Lowe’s but it’s a dollar more the same size. Unfortunately, I’ve never gotten it in bulk. I’d love to find a way to do that!! I do always save any foam that comes in packaging and tell friends and family to save me foam too! It’s the white EPS foam which doesn’t texture as well but it’s great if you want to build up your bases/platforms and for using scraps to create mountains that you want to cover in plaster sheets.
New subscriber! Can’t wait to try some of your ideas for my village! Anyway you would do a video on how you paint and texture your styrofoam? I can’t seem to get the cobblestone effect
Hi!!! Welcome!! I’m so excited you’re here!! I have a cobblestone video!! It’s called cobblestone road for your Christmas or Halloween village. My favorite method for texturing XPS foam is a lumpy and rock or a rolled up piece of aluminum. I also have a video about painting stone steps where I show some Methods for texturing and painting foam. Let me know if I can answer any specific questions for now and I’ll work on a video for texturing foam - love this idea!
Kelley, I love your "stuff". I want to make a bat cave for my village and was wondering if you ever did anything like that? Just looking for some inspiration
I’m so excited you asked this - I just started a cave project!! The video will probably be ready in a week or two, but in the meantime you might get some ideas from the Mine video I did. Using scrap styrofoam and plaster sheets to create a rock structure. The piece I made in the video had a flat/square shape to it because I was putting a piece inside and using the top part to display other pieces. But you could shape your styrofoam into more of a round shape.
I think there are several brands. The one I’ve gotten is called KUCAM mini submersible LED tea lights. I got them on another. They usually come 6 or 8 to a pack
Awesome little project. Love the witch tree too!
Thank you! 😊

Yes!! That would great and give really good light to the display. You could use one of those circle lights with the remote.
That tree is so cool......Looks awesome......
Thank you!!

I watch these videos and wonder how you never cut your fingers! But half way through I see you’re human. Love the Narwhal bandaid!!!

I love it, I might make one too!
Yay!!! Have fun!! 🍎🍎
Great videos. Would love to see a video of what the power cords look like when village is set up and running.
Thank you!! Do want to see how I hide the cords, or what the maze of cords looks like under the tables? 🎃

Oh wow that sounds awesome! Would love to say, “turn on village” instead of crawl under tables every night 🤣
You are by far, my favorite Halloween village display TH-camr!!! You rock. May I ask, where do you get your SPF Foam board and do you buy in bulk?
