    Hi Wendell, congrats for your new channel and wish all the best!!
    One question I have, for those that bought the premium edition of the books that come up with the Pearson practice test, will this test be updated to reflect v.1.1 changes, or we need to buy a new version of the test?

    • @networkupskill
      @networkupskill  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The short version is that you would need to purchase the new premium edition to get those. I know for a fact that it's 42 questions about the new exam topics - but many other huge changes. I'm working on the PPT for next-week's video about it just now, so it's fresh in my mind. Anyway, I don't think you NEED them to cover the new topics. But if you have budget for the new CCNA Premium Library, you'll get an improved and expanded question set with of course those questions on the new exam topics.

    Hi Wendell, I was going through this video after my work day. Very enlightening. I see that you talk about "Vol. 1 App.B" PDF and Vol.2 "App.B PDF". Please can you let me know where can I download them from. Is that within my Cisco Press account at the "Companion" website for Vol. 1 and Vol. 2?

    • @networkupskill
      @networkupskill  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Gus,
      Yes indeed! Companion website for each book, look for the updates tab. Also, if you forget... Appendix B itself, in the back of the book, has instructions on where to find the updated version of Appendix B, in PDF form, on the companion website.

      @@networkupskill Hey Wendell, Awesome!!! Thank you for the advice to check on the back of the book. I found the instructions clearly listed there. I found them. 🙏 I am going to download the PDFs, print and study them in detail. Thank you so much for your quick reply. I really appreciate it.

    Does the newly modernized commands mean there will be a new, 6th Edition, "CCNA 200-301 Portable Command Guide' coming out soon?

      Yes... but I don't know any specifics about the author's plans, just that a new one is in the works.

    I didn't notice you mentioning the Automation and Programmability changes for the new blueprint in this video. Will your new books cover what is needed to know about AI, Machine Learning, and Terraform?

    Man im like in an annoying holding pattern. Amazon keeps pushing back the release date for the 2nd edition library on kindle which is significantly cheaper than buying each volume seperately. I just canceled my order. Any idea what the hold up is? If they just gave a realistic date in the first place i wouldve just bought the 1st edition and would have read half of it already. very frustrating

    • @networkupskill
      @networkupskill  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry the process has been frustrating. I would like to have seen print and eBook available quicker at Amazon, but it's been slow and varied this go round. I don't have a lot of insights to share, as that's the publisher's world, not mine, but I have asked about it a few times. I know the folks at Cisco Press have been trying to get the products across the finish line there, for sure. I have a meeting with someone there later this week, and can ask if they know what's happening with that kindle edition, other than just normal processes.
      If you're frustrated enough to give up on Amazon, consider the Premium Edition eBook version of the CCNA Library from the publisher. You get formats that work on Kindle, Nook, and PDF, and about 350 additional practice questions vs. the print book. (learn more about the questions in that product here: th-cam.com/video/Ew2O-3ID40c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fU26Fi9UnW18GzYR).

    Hi, Wendell! What about your future Reading Breaks video? Will they be based on the first edition of the guide or on the second edition?

    • @networkupskill
      @networkupskill  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question. I have created them with the new editions in mind. However, I'm rolling out videos on the first section of each chapter. Comparing 1st edition to 2nd edition Volume 1, there's not a lot of content difference in those. Watch the descriptions - I'll try and leave some notes there for any differences that might trip you up.

    • @networkupskill
      @networkupskill  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The reading break videos are based on the new editions. However, there's a lot of overlap with the existing editions. For instance, in Volume 1, 25 of the 29 chapters are the same topics, easily identified. I'm starting out focusing on videos based on the 1st section in each chapter, and that content has changed significantly in maybe 3 or 4 chapters. So for the most part, you'll be fine. The first 14 chapters for sure, which should get us into July here on the channel. But ask if you need clarification on any of them!

    Hello teacher. Is there any website that covers the changes in the CCNA book between the 2nd and 1st editions?

    • @networkupskill
      @networkupskill  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi. There won't be a list of every single change to the book. The introduction section in each book lists the major changes - sections that you would find if you methodically compared the old and new books' tables-of-contents. I also commented a bit more about it in today's blog + video post. Hope that helps!
      Any topic in particular that you're curious about?

    Currently using the first edition can that affect my studies ?

    • @networkupskill
      @networkupskill  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It will definitely affect it, but it's very manageable. The last date to test w/ the V1.0 blueprint is August 19th. But if you don't make it, there are ways to pick up what you need to learn for the new exam topics without having to spend more. I've written and posted videos here about that issue - check out this video (th-cam.com/video/V73V_dlgdto/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1u0jkL7x7bXlSHl9) and the related blog post at www.certskills.com/ccna2024-03. If you find that interesting, you might find all the videos in the CCNA Advice and New playlist since announce day (April 22) interesting.
