    Just to make a few less clicks, I alway just center everything to the center of the page by pressing “p”, then group. Then you can use the step and repeat for instead of duplicating (horizontal first, then selecting all those and doing the vertical)

    More tutorials please, I just got a bn20a and no idea how to use versworks. Does any graph Ted and vinyl express plotter work. Can the plotters do perfcut or is it just the printer. Do you know if graphtec ce5000 works with versaworks . I see a used one for 350 24inch

    Hi Mike, great Videos. Very motivating.
    Habe you concidered doing 2 cut runs so you dont have to push the stickers out?

    • @mikesstickers

      I don’t want them to fall out. The perforation cut leaves small tabs attached so the stickers are held in place until you push them out.

    Hi! You should laminating all the printable vinyls or is it just for better quality?

    • @mikesstickers

      I believe in laminating everything. You can do certain graphics without laminating if it never gets touched but if it’s something that people touch all the time, the ink will eventually rub off without laminate.

    Hi Mike; your videos are a great resource and inspiration. Q: with your Silhouette Cameo; do you still use the Joyza sticker paper? Q. Where you able to find the sticker paper you use larger that 8.5x11?

    • @mikesstickers

      I stopped using the Cameo & sold it. I now only use the Roland BN-20a & the Graphtec CE7000-60. I was having quality issues with stickers printed on my cheap Epson printer. I sold the Cameo & my Vevor 34” cutter.

      @mikesstickers thank you. Would you recommend d the Joza paper if you had to do it all over again?

    • @mikesstickers

      @@RatchetUpYourArt the paper was okay for what I was doing but when you try to remove them after a long time it tears apart instead of coming off as one solid piece. That’s my only complaint. My main issues were caused by the printer & ink I was using.

      Sorry I have been sick for weeks. I would try to join local Facebook groups in your area. I joined a local community facebook group of business owners in a small town near where I live. Then I joined in their market events to spread my name & info. It’s definitely paid off over time. I have received lot of business from the other businesses in this small town.

      Yes. It just won’t read the barcodes but I’m not using that function yet so it’s not essential.

      I’m going to discuss how I’ve been getting business in my next video. Yes, this could definitely replace a corporate job but if takes time to build up clients & a reputation. I have two videos I will be making soon to discuss some of my business strategies & some differences between the product lines I offer.

    • @Technobby

      I'm not a health expert but you do need ventilation when working with chemical substance such as ink, vinyl and laminator. Though they are much safer than previous technology, you still need some protection. It's better for the long run as it's not some immediate effect.

    How come you don't use the bn20 to do the cuts as well?

    • @mikesstickers

      The Graphtec cuts at least 5 times faster than the BN-20 does & it’s a lot more accurate of cuts.

    • @fr000bify

      @@mikesstickers so the graphtec reads the reg marks with no problems, how long you owned your bn20 now, how do you find the ink usage, I'm researching for getting this printer, it's crazy expensive, but my side hustle like you was, is very limited, and I want to grow, and leave my full-time job I have many sales for stickers but am limited to indoor use only, and want to start doing signs and graphics for vans, I'm just afraid of the huge investment and monthly payments, new ink alone in UK is like £57 per colour.

      @@mikesstickers ur media is 20” wide. How many inches is ur print area? And is it different if you add the crock marks?

    • @mikesstickers

      Page size in versaworks settings is set to 18.54 inches. In Coreldraw I set the page size to 18 inches. The crop marks in versaworks are added before & after the design so it doesn’t affect the width. When you add crop marks for the graphtec it does affect the width because it adds then to the sides of the design.

    This may be a dumb question, but since you have the bleed, why don't you butt the stickers up next to one another and do long strokes instead of cutting out each sticker individually? I understand for non-rectangular shapes, but for rectangles it seems like it'd be more efficient in terms of how many objects you can get on a sheet and reduce the cut time.
    Additionally, you should consider using the input box for rotating. At 6:09 you can see that the angle isn't a perfect and is 270.08 degrees instead of 270, then at 14:49 you can see how all the outlines are jagged. This happens because computers are really dumb. If you are off by even a fraction of a degree, computers can kind of freak out a bit. The cutter and computer can have really precise controls, but it still moves in full steps of increments, so diagonals can get tricky, especially if they are really small increments.
    I don't have experience cutting stickers, but I do have experience with laser cutting, software engineering and graphic design. Honestly, it's probably not that big of a deal, but one of my goals has always been incremental improvement when possible. If I can make something 1% better with a small tweak, I will always try because I find that it pays off in the long run. Sometimes I'll make a small adjustment to a parameter and a problem that seems completely unrelated will go away.
    Also, if you're planning on making videos regularly, consider adding links to the equipment and materials that you use. This video was fascinating and has me interested in looking into sticker making as a side hobby.

    • @mikesstickers

      Good thoughts. I don’t butt the images right up next to each other because the stickers get weak & can fall out during the cutting process. It makes the entire sheet too weak & it can then get bunched up in the pinch rollers. The gaps between the stickers helps add rigidity to the entire sheet for stability.

    • @mikesstickers

      I will add the links. I meant to do that already.
