Why cut the tank and then weld it again, I don't understand
They are checking for cracks that could cause the tank to explode u notice the tank is quite rusty he may have been wanting to see if the rust has eaten through the metal
Agreed. Simpler to do a pressure test in safe conditions. Some decent compressors and air tanks to be found on junked trucks.
Why not buy a bit more decent tank, saves a lot of time and work...

This is a good practice, to make sure can remove all sludge, carbon etc.

Nice job but you should seriously consider getting a welding helmet, also what is with the spot welding, just turn down the power and do one weld run, this would make the welding stronger and more reliable, if you’re welding machine only has one setting then increase the length of the power line between the machine and the torch this should increase the resistance and decrease the power of the welding rod. Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward to your next video
That metal is too thin for a full continuous weld.

and what happened to the repaired compressor? at min 36:51 it's a completely different compressor 🤔🤔. can be recognized by the weld seam, the dent in the cover and the electrical connection....

Good job but really dangerous. Every gas bottle, even if it's empty, has some residual gas adsorbed in the interior surface. So is very very dangerous cutting the bottle with methods requiring a hot spot. The bottle could explode. If you need cutting, gas bottle must contain water.
В финале компрессор другой.
Фреоновое масло будет активно выносится в ресивер и попадать с воздухом на окрашиваемые изделия. Нужен маслоотделитель и возврат масла в картер компрессора.
المشكل في الضاغض لانه سيتعرض الى الاحتراق بفعل الماء كيف الضاغط يمتص الهواء وهدا الهواء فيه نسبة من الرطوبة اي عندما يضغط الكباس على الهواء تتكون قطرات من الماء فتختلط بالزيت فمع المدة يصبح لدينا الماء والزيت فيتلف الضاغط.

Probably to make sure it was empty, also it was sand blasted and rusty, you don't want to blowing apart.
More chance of it blowing apart now, after welding it.
they cut for sure it clean to avoid rust stuck the piston and they call recondetion,fill new oil10 its normal have oil inside to smoth bearing inside
when you make compressor tank you need to insure that the tank doesn't have cranks or rust inside that may cause the tank to explode.

It's a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. It would be bad enough to use a rusted out tank as a pressure vessel, but cutting it in half and throwing welds all over it is just begging to explode.
That was my first thought to, only one word to describe this, Dodgy !

I don’t understand the no glove and at least some shade of lens. That’s almost funny tacking without a hood. MiG is easy enough to do a few tacks. But tacking without a hood with a stick welder is nuts. Nothing to block the welding glare isn’t safe at all. But it’s not my business to say, even though I did. I’m starting to wonder if he is blind or maybe he has number ten shade contact lenses in his eyes. I mean nice job but it’s really ridiculous to not use a hood. It’s the craziest thing. lol.
