Thank you for a very frank and thoughtful presentation. Your sense of humour is heart warming in this world so fraught with tragedy. When all is said and done. God’s grace will prevail.

Very interesting and very sad history.
So many wrongs on both sides. However, consider a guest in your home. Too many glasses of wine are consumed, he/she says something bad, you say something worse, it is getting out of hand, you as the homeowner are entitled to say in the interest of avoiding more unpleasantness, I want you to leave. I think the Queen made the only decision that she could make.
The Jews were persecuted, yes but why? Why were they expelled so many times from other Countries too. Your piece gives us much insight.
Lots more could be said, this unending acrimony continues to our day, we see the actions of those who feel they are beyond reproach. The hateful massacre which they seem to enjoy, they describe as self defence.
If the current generation is anything to go by, the Spanish restraint may have been hard fought to achieve.
    God bless you.
