He reels in a 300 pound fish with nothing but his arms holding the rod! He is the most entertaining sportsman and awesome guy around! I'm glad armwrestling is growing as a sport, and Devon Larratt is definitely a very big part of that, but I do wish there was more attention on some of the better armwrestlers past and present. Also he has a 6-1 winning record over Devon Larratt.
Devon Larratt is now one of the best arm wrestler, of legend John is better in terms of achievements but you can't say that he does not have any, after all Devon in his prime defeated John 6-0, Defeated Todd 5-0 (his last match), Travis 4-3, ...and many more. was champion of both left and right. Devon is the biggest reason why arm wrestling is becoming popular, not John. Devon, in my mind, is the 🐐 , nobody has done anything close to him in terms of contribution. You can take whole eastern block, many of them are way better (and even prime John) yet they are doing nothing to make sport popular, just go out and do your job.

What's funny is that a lot, if not most of these wrestlers are friends when they're not on the table in competition. They train at each other's garages, gyms and local pubs. Most of them seem to be genuinely decent, amiable people. Especially Devon. He is everyone's advocate. He wants everyone to succeed and actively tries to help the others out. As far as I can tell, Larratt isn't the top puller anymore but he's still in the top 4 or 5.

I watched this clip and remembered some clips I saw on two other youtube channels that I follow. I sometimes watch Jujimufu and he hung out with Devon one day to see how he trains. There are two clips with it. I also usually watch the professional climber Magnus Midtbø's chanel and in one of his clips was Devon and tested climbing with Magnus and Jujimufu. Devon seems to be a nice guy and was quite humble. So he is not always the way he is when he competes. devon is very focused around the rules witch very high ranked arm-wrestlers seem to disregard such as keeping your elbow down during a refs grip.
