I've been watching videos of Devon today. What I see is that Devon is the ultimate showman. He does a great job of creating excitement and interest to the arm wrestling sport. I've noticed that he takes his losses and wins humbly. After the competition is done, he shows sincere sportsmanship. I wouldn't even be watching these World Arm Wrestling matches if it wasn't for Devon putting on such a great show. Devon doesn't act like the typical meat head. He puts on a terrific show.

Notice Todd doesn't make eye contact and seems a bit awkward or intimidated? And Dave let's his temper show, has to use his macho persona to communicate under pressure. I have no doubt they're all great guys and all great arm wrestlers. But when it comes to personality and being the one everybody is focused on, it's Devon. That's why they say he's the face of the company. He's the dude who, in high school parties every girl gravitated toward haha. He's just got the larger than life charisma... and like him or not... he is exactly what the sport needs. I'm not trying to trash-talk Michael Todd or Dave Chaffee, but Devon just brings something more to the table! (See what I did there?) The issue is less about the microphone in this case and more the room acoustics. Echo chamber. What they should do is make a regular feature of this at the table on the morning of the match. There wouldn't be an echo issue at the match table.

The more I watch arm wrestling the more I love it, it's a great sport with lots of interesting characters, story lines etc. Plus it has much more strategy and skill than I first thought. With the help of videos like this, getting people more involved, I'm sure it's going to start to appeal to a much bigger market soon
