I had one and paid for it but because I hadn’t bought any games prior Valve thought it was fraud and cancelled my order. Long story short have an OLED on the way but it’s full price :(
I am totally going get this bad boy and be daily driving it. Now that i am working for a retail store aka walmart I barely have time to play games etc.
You are complete;ly right. Most gamers can barely lift their own weight. So a pound and half is still literally too heavy. I got used to the complaining. Personally, I can't tell the difference from my steam deck oled and my z fold 5. But then again, I lift and go to the gym. Maybe if gamers lifted more than doritos and mountain dew, they'd be a lot stronger and handhelds in the literal hundreds of grams wouldn't be too heavy.
@@charlestannehill7537 thanks for agreeing haha, yea I didn't want to be too mean but if people consider this heavy then that's insane to me. It's literally about as light as a PS5 or Xbox Series X controller and it's a whole portable PC.
@ColinTheGamerReal after looking it up, the SD/oled is roughly approximate to 2 Xbox series x controllers. So if one controller in each hand is too heavy, that should be your wake-up call. I understand not wanting to be mean, but I'm just a blunt person. Get called asshole a lot. Also got used to that. But the main reason I lift and stay in shape is because I'm lazy af. When you're out of shape, everything is so much harder and requires so much more effort. Being in shape, everything is easy. So I put in the hard work 90 minutes a day 4-5 days a week, to make the rest of my life effortless. Like I said, lazy. I don't have to actually try at anything anymore. I wish other gamers would learn this. Instead of expecting manufacturers to bend the laws of physics like they have Dr. Strange hidden in the back.
@@tonyrosario1940 I guess I don't use the d-pad too often for my games, I mostly play games that use the sticks mainly and only selecting different items with the d-pad.
@ I am in the minority for sure, you are using it the way most people do. The D-pad is the weakest part of the Deck, hopefully they improve on the accuracy for 2D fighters and precision retro games on the next iteration so the Deck can be an awesome handheld for all types of gaming. 🤘🏼🍻
spider man don't work above 30 on steam deck. No matter of settings it always drop to 30 so 30 cap is necessary. Cyberpunk same, 30 is max you can help for adn still have deeps even on low.
It runs way faster than 30 fps. And faster than 45. It's just most people don't know how to tune the steam deck. But then again, Sony's ports are garbage.
@@charlestannehill7537 Sony's port is definitely part of it, if I can run Cyberpunk at 45 fps on medium-high settings it should be able to run Spiderman at 60 fps lol
@@ColinTheGamerReal Exactly. I think it's intentional to make the PS5 look like a better deal with hardware. Considering the source code is locked, I'm highly suspicious they made every game run within a certain performance metric unless you have the beefiest hardware which they know they couldn't fool people with.
@@ColinTheGamerReal important is lowest number not highest. when you set framerate cap you consider lowest possible framerate as target. In taht case its 30.
sick video im getting a steam deck oled for christmas
Thanks! And hell yea you're going to have fun with it.
Best ever Christmas present you can get, and you deserve it!! :D
That’s what I asked for but I was told na your getting new work boots and pants😂
Very nice! I just got the 512 OLED one too a few days ago.. waited for a sale .. but nooo lol.. having fun playing vampire survivors on it
@@Kyrbiville nice get! Yea I felt like it wasn't going to go on sale for a while haha, and Vampire Survivors is great.
With FPS games I reccommend to use gyro as mouse held on right stick touch, especially on KBM based games
I love see other people enjoying the steam deck, good video 😁👍🏾
Thanks! Yea I've definitely been having a good time with it.
I got the refurbished OLED before it sold out recently.
@@ibitaRaptor nice, that's a good pickup

It's super fun, it's my favorite gaming purchase I've made in a long time.
Wish valve expanded to more countries like India, great video.
