I bought a 2015 C 300 yesterday. In the showroom they had a black c 63s and the salesman started it for me and engaged the sports exhaust. Man it was the great. Now I know why you love yours so much.
I am a person who loves attention to detail and from my driving experience the new 18 Mustang is not a small improvement, its a BIG improvement over the s550 gen in in almost every manner 1. Engine, I felt the 15-17 s550 weak under 3500 rpm, the new 460 Di 5.0 has significantly more torque at 2200-2500 revs, so while driving in 4th gear at 50 mph, a kick down will give more punch and acceleration than the 435 hp one in 15-17 GT,I also noticed that the 5.0 of Ford revs slightly faster than the GM 6.2 V8, it easily passes 4000 rpm with slight dab on throttle while the GM 6.2 is slightly more lazy to rev, also I will mention this, its still not as strong as the GM 6.2 V8 between 2500-4500 rpm, but the thing is if we put pedal to metal post 6000 rpm the GM looses steam and becomes harsh and tinny and more sound but less progress while the 460 5.0 pulls harder and harder till 7000 rpm, so the GT although has a slight disadvantage at lower rpms it more than makes up for it in the last 1000 rpm, 2. Sound, no competition here the new 5.0 now sounds as good as the other 2 V8s, ie Hemi and the 6.2 of GM, 1 thing I didnt like is while cruising at 6th gear at 55 mph, I heard too much drone from Ford V8, I didnt expect this much drone from a DOHC Di 5.0, 3. All s550 and s550 460 HP GTs weigh more than 3800 lbs, so its not a light car, the Camaros definitely are lighter, but despite being heavy the new Mustangs feel as fast as the 6.2 Camaros, all hail that monster new 5.0 V8 of Ford, its truly an epic motor. 4. Interior , exterior, SYNC 3, all are better than 15-17 s550s 5. The new transmission , its definitely better, in regular drives the difference isnt apparent , but drive it hard and the shifts at higher rpm feel as smooth as ones it lower rpm, in 15-17s the shifts at higher rpms leaves behind a big jerk and pushes driver back to seat uncomfortably, new transmission does take out this jerk a lot and feels like a smooth nudge back into seats, also down shifts happen faster with better rev matching than 15-17 s550,I feel this new 6 speed MT is definitely better than rivals manual transmissions 6. I had a 30 mile test drive and the car I drove had 2200 miles on it, and I was observing MID calculated 24 mpg at 50 mph cruise in 6th gear, true it might be around 20-21 mpg if we do manual testing, but still I feel better than 15-17 s550 that stood at 19-20 mpgs at same cruising speeds 7. Dynamically too the new Mustang felt better, even the base versions had slightly firmer damping and better ABS calibration, also the nose dive felt improved while braking probably due to lower hood and car in general felt more willing to counter under steer unlike s550 which had more under steer built into it probably for safety reasons as new Mustang is a global car, new 1 is better here as well, its slightly more wild and thats how a Mustang should be.
Daniel Sadjadian sadly V8's will be gone from production in another few, 2-3 year's. As will the privilege to drive be gone by 2025 qwhen half the world population is supposed to disappear/die off, etc.
I have a love/hate relationship with the convertible. I put on the right side (passenger side) structural support brace that is under the car. They're a lot of work and when they come down the line every 3rd or 4th car they can be a pain in the ass. But people love them and buy them so that's why we build so many so it keeps us working. I'm glad you like it.. thanks for the good review.
@@rick-hj3jg Or dont get leather , upgrade stereo active exhaust, 19 inch wheels with Michelin pilot sport tires, magnaride suspension and all the other options the older Mustangs dont have and get one for $33-35k new . A used terminator is about 20-25k , you can get a used s550 for that money and it is better in every possible measure of performance.
The 2018 Ford Mustang is one good looking car. Unfortunately the facelift doesn't go on sale here in the UK until early Spring. Can't wait to test drive the 5.0 GT though 💪
I bought a 2018 Mustang GT Manufacturer's Buyback with only 2,063 miles, for $19,500 off sticker. Still has the remainder of the original warranty. Engine seized in less than 500 miles, but Ford replaced it with a "Service Engine" meaning the new engine was only missing the intake and exhaust manifolds. Runs great, looks great at a price that is acceptable. Equipment Group 400A, Adaptive Cruise Control, Active Valve Performance Exhaust, Safe & Smart Package with Adaptive Cruise Control With Blind Spot and Cross-Traffic Alert. In addition it has Performance Package 1, Recaro Leather Seats, Enhanced Security Package and Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System.
My 1st Mustang in 69' after getting out of the ARMY, was a 1965 convert... Couldn't afford a Used Vet and this just had a 289 in it but it was a nice Fun Car and the GF and her GF's Loved Borrowing it to go to the Beach and shopping..Ahhh, the Good Ol'Days! Enjoy Life the best you can. It don't last long..!
Wait that car does 0-69 in 3.9 secs lol, that as fast as your $82k AMG and it’s $30k less? Hysterically, all these rwd cars are the same speed now , even a scatpack charger is like 4.1 secs to 60. I LOVE IT. $45k too
AutoVlog Absolutely- For me personally once you go above 400 hp , it’s better to have awd!! Tires have come a long way... my pops has a golf r stage 1 - that car is fast, and putting its power down , also how something feels maybe different than the numbers in my experience
LegendInThaMakin yes the golf r is fun and not true 4wd, the new BMW M550 HAS AWD THAT YOU CAN TURN OFF... but for me it’s the power band and off the line acceleration , I’m not drifting . People can say a Tesla isn’t fun but every time you smash the electron pedal a big smile opens ear to ear
EcoBeast thanks for dropping this comment. I'm obviously not the content creator, but I think it's awesome for the content community to come together like this.
its a really nice car but I still like where the computer screen is on my G37 Coupe. up high on the dash so quick peaks at it doesn't totally prevent me from losing sight of the road. Still, this Mustang is cool and that 4 sec 60 spring is impressive.
Sounds great from the cabin. I wonder how different the sound 8s from the cabin between the hardtop and convertible and does the sound change when the roof is down.
Excellent Video! One question I have is I am from the North East and I know you said that the Mustang isn't a winter car. I really can't be carrying two cars financially, so with that being said is it more realistic to scratch my dream car off my list or can it work year round even in the north east winters? (BTW, I want the convertible!) Thanks again.
Love the new front fascia... But Ford really needs to refresh it's interior designs. I love the classic mustang steering wheel... But everything else inside the car needs a severe design haul along with the center console and screen. Good driving review. !
I see the front fascia and immediately think Jaguar. The droop in the grille was proven to be a significant aerodynamic advantage so that's a little different but the scoops in the corners also really scream Jag to me.
Love your videos mike! I get excited every day when I see your uploads lol, I want this car extremely bad! Owning a gt350 is my dream car just like your Mercedes, hopefully some day! For a plain GT that is an awesome upgrade all around for the 17's!
Do you get the valves on the base GT? Or do u have to pay extra for the valves... cause the car starts at 36k now smh getting way to expensive and got rid of the V6 which was amazing compared to the turbo 4
I don't have CC in my truck and sure miss having it on road trips. It gives your foot a rest rather than cramping up and keeps your speed from creeping up, I routinely find myself at 90+ MPH because it gets away from me.
NissanTy Never was. Used perhaps but blue collar jobs went the way of coal. I had a mustang svo back in 86 and it cost 17 or 18 grand. The gt for 86 cost about the same. I liked the svo much more because of how euro and higher quality it seemed at the time.
NissanTy Not everything is about speed. Most of the time it's preference. Someone could pay for a car that another car can do for less money, simply because there's something for them that the cheaper car doesn't have.
Bring your vehicle to the appropriate manufacturer's dealership. If nothing else they'll be more qualified to inspect and service other components and perform any applicable recalls while you're there.
How is the "low-end grunt" on this? I mean, I drove some dude's C6 Corvette, and I was really disappointed in its low-end power. Everyone on the garsh-darn internet preaches the thick power band of the LS, but during the kind of throttle pressure I would apply to my Explorer sufficient to reach 60mph, I constantly found myself falling _below_ the speed limit and having to apply more gas. After this, I found out that torque didn't peak in that engine until 4400rpm! Is the new Mustang like this?
Actually, there are many features you can get now that you couldn't get then, so not a great comparison. Also, a fully loaded Mustang would've run you over $43,000 10 years ago. That's around $52,000 in today's money. This one is not fully loaded, but just about fully loaded, and it's quite a bit better than the 2007-2008 model you could've picked up 10 years ago. Honestly, even a more barebones Mustang Turbo 4 cylinder is more car than the one sold 10 years ago in many ways.
I, too, am still stuck in an older pricing mentality. When I saw the price tag I thought "I'd rather have a Cadillac for that kind of money" but you can't buy a decent Caddy for $50k anymore, either.
Lamar2081 you are incorrect. A 07 mustang gt convert had an Msrp of 31-33k depending on features. Of course if you want to give the dealer 43k (10k over msrp!) no ones going to stop you, certainly not the dealer..although at the 43-45k the gt500 could also be had. The Mustang isn’t the bargain it once was. You don’t need to fudge your numbers.
6speed manual much better softer clutch and shifts alot better and no noise reduced does not shift or feel like the 15 to 17 GT!!!! One thing I do like about the GT theese guys saying on here are over inflated in my area pp and premium around here 39 to 42 grand plus I just bought one and was able to get sync 3 and active exhaust system which included mycolors and drive options almost like last years premium without the leather love it. Cost was 33200 with 6speed manual. On the lot they had a Kona blue base gt 6speed for 30 grand.
Mustang 2018 look nice and we all the extra like some tech from the Shelby get 350 for the price good option, and nice go pro! Review on Ecoboost and see what they do ahead previous 2017, and great videos.
Now I want a Mustang instead of a truck. ;) BTW - does adaptive cruise control only work if you have automatic transmission? I would think it would not work completely in a manual - you can't come to a full stop without taking it out of gear. Thanks for the review.
Pretty cool. Not really into digital readouts. They can go bad in later years. Maybe they make them better nowadays, kind of like the LED lights. Who knows? I'm good with my analog. Cool car though. Back when I got my 2014 that model was just about to be replaced by the 2015. Here we are 3 and a half years later with the 2018. Mustangs have certainly changed a bit.
Do you drive a manual? I'm not condoning what he did, but it's f**king annoying to come to a full stop in a manual. If you can pull it off, a rolling stop is much easier, that way you can keep it in gear.
People rarely do full stops. Where I live there are stop signs on every short block, and in NYC everyone is in a rush. Of course I'm talking about all-stop signs or intersections where view is abundant. In full stop areas with traffic from left and right it is self explanatory.
So debating what to go for... This.. or a 370z nismo...which should I pick and why? I really like the body of the nismo better than the stangs.. BUT the stangs have WAY better interior.. especially with the performance package. The stangs have more horse power, but I'm sure many would be surprised at how quickly Zs can accelerate! So still kindof debating what to get!
Happy Thanksgiving Mike. That’s the same HP as my Vette! I drove a GT manual a couple years ago...It was fun, but I was underwhelmed! Still, I do like the Mustang GT. 👍
Im in the market for a 2nd vehicle. (my daily driver has been a 2014 Ford Raptor, fully loaded.) I was interested in a Mustang GT, but after finding out the 2018's go for over 50k, I'm looking at getting a Corvette instead. A 2017 C7 with less than 7,000 miles will go for right under 50k. I guarantee u get more heads turned in a C7 over the new 2018 GTs. So I'm thinking thats the route I'm going to go... I wanted to have just Ford's in my garage but there's better options for over 50k. I'm all about bang for your buck.
I bought a 2015 C 300 yesterday. In the showroom they had a black c 63s and the salesman started it for me and engaged the sports exhaust. Man it was the great. Now I know why you love yours so much.
Indeed :)

55 grand for a 5.0? I’ll just get a used Shelby 350
XCVI Mac exactly..
Heck, even with 55k you can get a 2014 Mustang GT500 or even a Terminator Cobra and have still have money.

Proud owner of a 2018 kona blue 6 speed GT It's one of the most fun cars i've ever owned! power on demand and torque for days

They shouldn’t make any convertible mustangs they don’t look nice. sounds good though
Maybe, but they are a lot of fun. Depends on the climate where you live though
Once you put the top down it outshines the fastback. Well worth the extra cost.
I'm renting a convertible for the extra noise
I love my GT convertible with manual transmission. Top down under the stars. Working the gears. Nothing else matters in that moment.
The new edge body style was better with a rag top. I mean the new edge looked good with a rag top, the hardtop was better looking overall.

Gorilla Toyz the 3.9 are allegedly the auto numbers; not sure if the 6-speed is quite as quick.
Chad Clark good point but still, if that’s accurate, that’s a great performance value cos tuning it will cost a 1/4 of an AMG engine mod.
I miss all the Ford videos. Glad to see all of them over the past week.
Cool instrument cluster! 12 inches of electronic bliss.
How was your experience first driving a stick?
you can review my 10speed AUTO 2018 Mustang GT, if you need a 10speed to review, great review
EcoBeast so why didn't you get a manual?
EcoBeast thanks for dropping this comment. I'm obviously not the content creator, but I think it's awesome for the content community to come together like this.
konawolv sure brother
Endless Roadie cuz Auto = cheat codes 😎
EcoBeast because America and to lazy to push a pedal and push or pull a stick...
the go pro cam was a bit shaky but the only thing I would have liked to see more of was the computer functions on the center console.
why no C63 update ? Has it been raining ?
i love how you blew that stop sign at about 8:50
Hehe...License and registration plz 👮🏼🤧😩
THUG LIFE! :)
At 5:15 the exhaust sound modes, does the sound changes for the outside too or it's just one of those fake things they do with the speakers ?
Any idea what the 2020gt mustang will look like?????
I know right.. do I wait for 2020 or buy a 2018/19
Saw it in person. I don't like the front end. The 2017 was perfectly fine. New front end looks kind of like a elephant snout or something.
Will Motivation agreed. Ive got a 17
Me too - wish I could have the 10 speed in the 2017 body.
You can't keep the same look that's how you get left behind
I agree but only if the new looks BETTER. Change for the sake of change is lame.
Mark Brown I’m game
Ford prices are getting crazy $54,000 for the new stang? Wouldn't it be better to just get a Shelby at that price?
iLLusionsZz v6 cost like 25k $
iLLusionsZz Nope most of the Gt350 are 60k but they usually sell it above msrp you would pay a full amout of 67k out the door
These Mustangs are getting too expensive. Absolutely ridiculous.
Gwent Champ your saying it like the mustang is the most expensive sports car there is.
spencer bancroft most new corvette Z06’s are $95,000 and up (CDN) that’s nowhere near the price of the mustang.
spencer bancroft nobody buys them full price you can get a loaded 5.0 brand new on sale rn for under $50k plus tax (CDN)
spencer bancroft $38,000 american
Well, the Kia dealership is waiting for your business.
Can’t wait to get mine!😩
Hello from Australia !!!! These Mustangs are goin off over here !!!! Aussies luv em !!!
And only have to wait until approx mid 2018 to get the 2018 model yay!!!
its a really nice car but I still like where the computer screen is on my G37 Coupe. up high on the dash so quick peaks at it doesn't totally prevent me from losing sight of the road.
Still, this Mustang is cool and that 4 sec 60 spring is impressive.
This video makes the car look a lot better than the pictures.
I do like the red seats!
I’m pleased that you’ve maintained a relationship with Moon TWP... everybody WINS, Mike!!👊
Sounds great from the cabin. I wonder how different the sound 8s from the cabin between the hardtop and convertible and does the sound change when the roof is down.
Does it have fordpass to start the car?
Being in Moon Township I knew exactly where you were driving. It's cool that you were less than a mile from me.
What camera and mount did you use for this POV video? I have a 2015 Mustang. Love the new one but cost is not worth the upgrade for me.
The gauges are so cool, they definitely hit it out of the park with that.
How tall are you? How is your leg room? I'm 6'7". Would my legs fit?
I'm 6'5 plenty of leg rooms just put the seat all the way back

I really can't be carrying two cars financially, so with that being said is it more realistic to scratch my dream car off my list or can it work year round even in the north east winters? (BTW, I want the convertible!) Thanks again.
Personally I think it looks way better 👌 makes me happy that it has the valve system 👍, great video mike left a thumbs up my friend
Awesome video Mike as always!👍 Happy Thanksgiving man!
At 8:45 he blows through the STOP sign, doesn't anyone follow the rules of the road any more?
Why is the camera on your head when your showing the dashboard. I couldn't see the option.
Just guessing: are You swedish or danish?
Hey man, just wanted to say great job on your content. It's fantastic, I hope you have a long a lucrative future ahead of you on this channel
Thanks ! Appreciate the kind words !
Nice job with the many uploads Mike!
Looks great, but does the interior still rattle like it's falling apart?
Nathan Duncan i don’t think the mustang can ever change that.
Love the majority of changes to the 2018. Not sure if I can get past the video game dash and the tiny fog lights.
Love the new front fascia... But Ford really needs to refresh it's interior designs. I love the classic mustang steering wheel... But everything else inside the car needs a severe design haul along with the center console and screen. Good driving review. !

Hey around 6:29 who noticed the scenery skipped ahead when he said " there's a subtle quickness you didn't notice "
Need to drive a 18 for sure....always been underwhelmed with the lack of torque in the previous years
You should have tested a 10 speed automatic to see what that is like. I know the manual is better but it would have been cool to see the 10 speed.
Can you please see if you can do a 2018 Mustang EcoBoost, Mike?
Love your videos mike! I get excited every day when I see your uploads lol, I want this car extremely bad! Owning a gt350 is my dream car just like your Mercedes, hopefully some day! For a plain GT that is an awesome upgrade all around for the 17's!
Happy thanksgiving. Have a fab time. Always love your videos..always part of the auto vlog family 😁
Thanks man 👊
Watching from Namibia and really enjoying your videos!
Thank you !
AutoVlog it's a pleasure.
Im glad that your enjoying your c63s! You deserve it!!
Can you still change your exhaust (aftermarket exhaust) and still change the note of the exhaust?
The clutch and flywheel are supposedly different. Feels no different than 2017?
Very meaningful, driver-focussed review with perfect sound transmission - thank you!
Awesome job Mike!!!!! Your less than 10k subs away from hitting 250k subscribers!!!!! Keep up the great work brother!!!!!
Thanks bud !
Do you get the valves on the base GT? Or do u have to pay extra for the valves... cause the car starts at 36k now smh getting way to expensive and got rid of the V6 which was amazing compared to the turbo 4
Mike, why do you love cruise control? Where do you use it? Personally I have never even turned it on in my last three whips.
I don't have CC in my truck and sure miss having it on road trips. It gives your foot a rest rather than cramping up and keeps your speed from creeping up, I routinely find myself at 90+ MPH because it gets away from me.
$54k!? Not the blue collar worker's car anymore, kind of a shame. Nice car though, minus it being a convertible
NissanTy yeah, convertibles make everything look ugly. They look like a freaking bathtub or something like that
NissanTy Never was. Used perhaps but blue collar jobs went the way of coal. I had a mustang svo back in 86 and it cost 17 or 18 grand. The gt for 86 cost about the same. I liked the svo much more because of how euro and higher quality it seemed at the time.

I bought a loaded 18 premium new for 39k with TTL. Only thing I don’t have is the digital disk and a sunroof.
Lol might be vampire unfriendly mod
What's with GM and Ford Doing a Joynt Venture? Did you do a Vlog on that? And Whome do you take your Car too , Ford or GM Dealer for servicing, etc?
Bring your vehicle to the appropriate manufacturer's dealership. If nothing else they'll be more qualified to inspect and service other components and perform any applicable recalls while you're there.
Happy thanksgiving to everyone
Sounds BETTER than your "C63 AMG........S"
Such a beautiful car, love the digital dash

Does your testet mustang GT have auto rev match in the sport- or track mode? Thanks for your answer. Greetings vom switzerland 🇨🇭
That new 5.0 Coyote Gen 3 engine sound real nice and produce some good power compared to previous stock GT mustangs.
52k mustang...wow...10 yrs ago this same model w/features would’ve been 35k. Ridiculous.
Good luck getting a 2007 Mustang with a 10 speed, multilink IRS, 445hp dual port and direct injected 5.0 V8 with a 7,500 rpm redline.
SEENO time goes fast i can't believe 2008 was almost 10 years ago
Love the channel dude! Just started mine finally
Thanks !
Such a good looking car.
cupholders are in the way of stickshift; elbows hit the cups
You don’t notice much difference between normal, sport, track just free revving. While driving you can definitely tell the difference.
Now I want a Mustang instead of a truck. ;) BTW - does adaptive cruise control only work if you have automatic transmission? I would think it would not work completely in a manual - you can't come to a full stop without taking it out of gear. Thanks for the review.
Walter Willis it works. Not hard to press a button after changing a gear
i just want to know is that a performance pack
That was hilarious seeing 74 MPH in a 45! LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!
Lmao at 8:43 he ran a stop sign at 17 MPH
Max France I agree, but unfotunately that is how it is here in the US
Do you drive a manual? I'm not condoning what he did, but it's f**king annoying to come to a full stop in a manual. If you can pull it off, a rolling stop is much easier, that way you can keep it in gear.
Yes I drive a Hyundai Santa Fe, I know its not the coolest of cars but its a manual and it works. I run stop signs as well, just not a 17 MPH
In here, it's huge fine to run stop, even if there is no traffic.
You like the 370z get it. Otherwise you’ll never be content.
Would you have one over your merc?
3.9 sec 0-60 is from the 10 Speed Auto
happy thanksgiving keep up the great vlogs
The video I've been waiting for!
Real men use three pedals 👍
Happy Thanksgiving Mike. That’s the same HP as my Vette! I drove a GT manual a couple years ago...It was fun, but I was underwhelmed! Still, I do like the Mustang GT. 👍
Damn that V8 is a great sound!
@AutoVlog is it better than your C63?
In your opinion which one sounds better:Mustang GT 2018 with active exhaust or Mercedes C63 AMG coupe with performance exhaust?
Have you seen the all-new 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt?
Is there enough room inside for a tall guy im 6 foot 3
that steering wheel looks like a button cluster fck
recaros are perfect for daily driving since they are comfortable
Does it Pop when you Shift, the schaust?
Props for wearing a camera on your face in public like that for a great POV review! 👍🏾
Too bad in Malaysia we don't have that manual transmission. We only have 2.3 eco and V8 GT 5.0 auto.
2 stroke for motorcycle and v8 for cars is the best combination ✌️✌️
Hi what’s the exhaust call, I’m planning to install the same or similar one
Its bone stock.
Nice video....what is the 2018 mustang top speed in km/h
