      Predict Memphis... be brave lol. The games this week are pretty predictable aren't they?

    I honestly think my Brahmas had a chance to win but I'm also very uncertain with dormandy. However our defense has won us more games than not so I still think the chance is there

      Your guy's defense definitely gives you a shot to win, but they need to be incredible as we saw what Birmingham did to the underrated Battlehawks defense a couple of weeks ago.

    Didn't even watch because I know your predictions as they're obvious again. So I'm gonna predict every game as an upset. Renegades will beat the Battlehawks, Brahmas will beat the Stallions, Showboats will beat the Defenders and Roughnecks will beat the Panthers. Lol, the games basically mean nothing as we have to stretch it a bit to hope anything unpredictable happens. So I'm gonna pick four upsets and if I win in any of them you owe me a case of Diet Dr Pepper Zomb ;P
    I told you on Instagram I like a challenge and it looks like the only one I'm getting this week is to just choose all the underdogs to win and see if even one of them does lol. The only good thing I can say is that in Week Ten the Showboats and Roughnecks play so that one of them will finish with two wins. But why are they even really playing Week 10 when the four teams that will be in the playoffs are playing one another in Week 10? I know there's maybe something with home field advantage at stake for the playoffs but really? It's another reason for more teams maybe to shake things up a bit because if the Stallions and Battlehawks win this week then does next week even really matter? And just to have some sort of challenge I'm actually cheering for the Stallion to lose? Maybe I'm the one who's drunk lol.

      When I say your choices are obvious, that's not to place fault. It just means I'm pretty sure they're as obvious to you as they are to me. But you're the one who has to be correct so I'll choose the ones who will predictably lose just to have something to cheer for lol.

      I do think the DC vs Memphis game is a toss-up since it has no meaning on the playoffs honestly. As for next week I do agree that it would be best for SA and Arlington to win this week to give next week and the conference championship games some real drama.

    • @steveneighner7543
      @steveneighner7543 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ZombPhoxUFL Problem there is DC and Memphis probably would play no differently even if there were a reason to play. We tend to put too much meaning into games thinking they have more of a reason to play certain games when often they don't. It's that we put more meaning on the game as it means more to us. But to the players, it rarely does and often when they hit a losing streak it's largely because they're human and have human failings such as a few key players having issues at home like going through a divorce, loss of a loved one, gambling or they just lose a reason to care. This is why teams like the Stallions can be so dominant and then overlook a team they should easily beat and that's the team they lose to.
      This is also why I point to the Roughnecks and Renegades not really being better than the Showboats where you think otherwise. Something about those two teams caused them to be losers where the Showboats actually had three or four games they also could have won that were somewhat closer and had one or two plays gone differently they would be possibly 4 and 4 but all the things you fault them for would still be just as true... just one play in three games and they'd be 4 and 4 but no different than you see them as which is why I said all people really care about it the win loss record because none of the facts you point to that say the Showboats are a terrible team really matter or would be any different if they had two or three more wins but you wouldn't be so hard on them where the Renegades and Roughnecks might not have any victories at all and you'd still be praising them because of the stats when 0 wins would have everyone screaming at you that you're blind as a bat talking stats when they have zero wins... even just the one win still begs the question if they're better than the Showboats then why do they only have one win each?
      Something is terribly wrong with those two teams and maybe even moreso than the Showboats as the Showboats are deflated and don't even seem to be trying to win and the teams the Renegades and Roughnecks have lost to really aren't any better than them if you look at the stats... so something else is in play explaining why those two teams have been losing and statistics aren't going to reveal the answer.
      The 49ers had a terrific season but they hit a streak of losing where Purdy was playing like a High School player and they were playing like the worst, most snakebit team in the NFL but then recovered. I even lost a friend over it as he's a 49ers fan and thought it funny to ridicule the Bears because I have thick skin but when I then went after the 49ers during the losing streak and he couldn't handle it, I kept reminding him to grow a thicker skin because he had fun at the Bears expense coming at me over it then he better be able to handle it now that the shoes on the other foot as I warned him if the 49ers started slipping and even even acted like he'd be ok with it. Frankly, had I know he was so thin skinned we never would have been friends as I wouldn't have let him be as insulting of the Bears with the level of ignorance he was showing to the level of almost bullying lol.
      But the truth is that the 49ers were a good team because of a few players Purdy was throwing to who were out and injured during that streak and the 49ers revealed who their real key players were and Purdy wasn't really one of them. Think Tom Brady without Gronk as brady at first inherited a team built around Drew Bledsoe who was a better overall QB where Brady was only good because he always had at least one reliable receiver who could take any measure of punishment in most games but when they were out, Brady was actually a below average QB. Thus the Buc's went to the Super Bowl when Brady had Gronk but when Gronk retired again, Brady fell flat like he always did without that one reliable clutch receiver.
      So, other than the merger, what are the big differences for the Roughnecks, Renegades and Showboats. For the Roughnecks, the big difference is they are actually the Gamblers and they're playing somewhat like the Gamblers did last year but even last year they had more wins and seemed to play better. Did Luis Perez have a clutch player like Brady had Gronk who wasn't there this year? Did the Showboats have a team leader on the field pumping them up last year that isn't there this year to explain how flat they've been? Did the Roughnecks keep any of the original Roughnecks who maybe didn't gel with the Gamblers team?
      Statistics don't tell the entire story which is why most fans only care about the win loss ratio as if somethings wrong with the team, this is for the coaching staff to figure out and if the coaching staff is the problem then the owners have to figureit out which is a huge liability with this type of ownership group as how can you really change things without being accused of playing favorites? In fact, maybe the reason the Stallions are doing so well is that even if they don't pull in large stadium crowds, they felt it obvious that for optics having Birmingham as a winning team would be better so they gave them all the advantages? With a single or double ownership group that basically controls where the best coaching staffs go then might they not be trying to capitalize on the popularity of the Alabama Crimson Tide in a similar way as the NCAA as the Crimson Tide, again my time, aren't as good as the benefits they've received from the NCAA have given to them as when the Tide is in the NCAA makes far more money and the Stallions do have an enormous national fanbase possibly being the most popular team in the league.
      Might it then be assumed that the UFL might be fixed like many claim the NCAAA is fixed and they want a college system that takes polls coaches and writers out of it in regard to determining who ultimately reaches the NCAA Championship?
      That weakness in the NCAA has most fans saying they cheat and it's fixed which is going to fall on the UFL as well if they don't get individual owners for the teams whether wealthy investment groups or community ownership like I favor because having your own ownership precludes anyone else having a say to discriminate for or against your team over the rest. Another season like this one without expansion and you won't be able to sell the teams which is another reason I support expansion as they're showing no signs of looking for ownership for the teams and the only signs they are showing point to them retaining ownership of all the teams for next year. If the Showboats, Roughnecks, Renegades and Defenders do badly again, who would want to buy them and what you say about stability is out the window because maybe another year at just 8 teams would create stability but the stability would all be bad... you don't want another season like this one for next year.

      @ZombPhoxUFL The bad teams really have nothing to gain by tanking. They're hungry. It's a good league.
