I suggest you learn the details of the war with Japan after the Pearl Harbor attack in Dec 1941 & America's response. It was profoundly sad that 10's of thousands of Japanese civilians died in the American response due to depredations of the Japanese Emperor & Japanese Military rulers. Thousands more Japanese died in the American fire bombings than the atomic bomb attacks. The same happened in the fire bombings of Dresden. When one nation decides to attack another no one should be surprised when the response is to obliterate the other, with the resulting civilian deaths. That is the horror of conducting war.

I think so many of us who are speaking out now are in the younger generation and truly had no clue about what was happening. For me, I had blinders on to the plights of the rest of the world solely focused on my own battles here in the USA. Now with the spread of social media advocacy we can see in real time the suffering and have access to more information than ever. All I know now is I won't ever be silent again
