If the film wasn't hyped all the way into space before it came out, I think it would be appreciated more for what it is and not for what people thought it was going to be. Another Star Wars just because Lucas was producing it. As it stands Howard The Duck is not perfect by any means. It has a mixed and inconsistent tone, the acting at points is really bad, the jokes are at times also really bad, and the film has some pacing issues. But other than that? I think even with those flaws Howard The Duck is still an entertaining movie. It's no masterpiece but for what it is? A lot of fun can be had with this film if you put yourself in the right mindset for it. I had a lot of great memories with this song and the movie growing up. Whether or not you like it or love it you can definitely say that Howard The Duck is definitely a different breed.

gmuqt2001 I was in junior high and this was the first Marvel movie ever released in theaters and I was such a huge Marvel Fanboy that I would have bought a piece of paper with the word X-Men written on it for a dollar so naturally I saw the only Marvel movie 6 freaking times it's a good thing the X-Men movies didn't come out until I was older I would have never left the theater

According to the 2009 DVD release, a child actor was intended to be the "main" Howard, but didn't work out; another actor, Ed Gale, ended up performing the lion's share of the major scenes as Howard and as such earned himself a credit at the start of the film.
They need to make another Howard the Duck movie already. But consult Steve Gerber during filming. Wait- I believe he passed away. He's got a daughter who 'gets' Howard, though. & plenty of fans that do as well- get some Howard superfan to write something. Or maybe this Chip Zdarsky fellow who's writing Howard these days. I cannot yet endorse him one way or another, I've yet to read it. Got two out of the three volumes so far but of course the first book would arrive last! Lol. Executive producer George Lucas spent $2 million on Howard's duck suit, and eight different actors worked inside the costume. According to the 2009 DVD release, a child actor was intended to be the "main" Howard, but didn't work out; another actor, Ed Gale, ended up performing the lion's share of the major scenes as Howard and as such earned himself a credit at the start of the film.

They need to make another Howard the Duck movie already. But consult Steve Gerber during filming. Wait- I believe he passed away. He's got a daughter who 'gets' Howard, though. & plenty of fans that do as well- get some Howard superfan to write something. Or maybe this Chip Zdarsky fellow who's writing Howard these days. I cannot yet endorse him one way or another, I've yet to read it. Got two out of the three volumes so far but of course the first book would arrive last! Lol. I'm just saying a good Howard the Duck movie is entirely possible & would be pretty cool if done correctly. U would ABSOLUTELY have to cast Lea Thompson in a role in the film. Not Beverly but someone. If not- I won't go see it! Lol. Cast Lea Thompson's daughter as Beverly.
