    Good Video. I hadn't paid attentionto the EQ and Output gain settings like that. Excellent. Thanks.

    Hey, thank you for this video. I play in a rock cover band and I reset the EQ settings as you suggested. I also adjusted the master volume, and downloaded the drivers to enable Garage Band to connect to my keyboard. Very much appreciated!

    MD - I play finger bass LH and chords and/or melody RH depending on song. We have a vocalist and guitar in a 3 piece. Can the lower split for bass be EQ'd separately? Like a good bass in the LH with some punch. Also RH (depending on song) piano, brass, strings, voices etc. Is this easy to achieve with the presets. Thank you for a wonder intro to the keyboard. The best!!!!

      Great question! The 3 sliders EQ is for global, however you can use comp/eq + unision for your bass LH. It will make your bass line more present and punch

      with full band change only the low from 80hz to 400hz (depends on your floor monitor, room and PA system). I would suggest to try the low: 120-150hz that keep your piano sounds still have full body but not muddy with band.

    Can I ask why you change the EQ? Is it just a personal preference, or something more scientific?

    • @mdmusiz
      @mdmusiz  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not changing the EQ. This EQ setting is setup the most used EQ frequencies range that help your keyboard sound better for live/stage mix. Out of the box the default EQ was set for listening

    Thanks for this helpful video. How did you happen to find these EQ settings were the best for rock music? Was it just trial and error? Just wondering, thanks!

    • @mdmusiz
      @mdmusiz  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question, actually it is NOT trial error. There are specific 5 band of EQ that fits to each genres of music. For rock, low: 125hz, low-mid: 200hz, mid: 1.2kHz, hi-mid: 2.2kHz, high: 6.3kHz

    I have a follow up question: Does adjusting the output gain also affect what is being pushed out through the output jacks? I also play in a rock cover band and connect the CK61 to an LD System Maui 5 Go through the 2 output jacks on the back. Believe me, you can't hear anything coming out of the keyboard when playing with the band!

    • @mdmusiz
      @mdmusiz  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the outputs gain is affected by changing your setting. The column LD system would NOT be loud enough for rock band. It's designed for coffee shop, singer/song writer band honestly. With same price range, you can get QSC K10, Yamaha DXR10, RCF A910.

      @@mdmusiz Thanks for the expert info. I appreciate it. Yes, the LD is not perfect for my use, but it is what I've got, so that's what I'll be using for now. It's not a perfect solution, but it works. Thanks again!

      @@Alessa1952 you can use the 3-band EQ to make your sound stand out of the mix. Low = 120hz, Mid = 3.2Khz, High = 6.3Khz.

    Hi, MD, we currently use MX61. How are the voice quality of the CK61 vs MX61 overall? We use the MX61 at church, typically using pads, violins, cello voices. When your time allows, perhaps you could provide a bullet list of pros and cons of the CK61 compared to MX61. We trust your expert opinion and look forward to your very helpful videos on the MX keyboard. Thank you

    • @mdmusiz
      @mdmusiz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks for your comment. If you look for the voice quality then they are the same. CK has more control hardware for users who like to tweak and change. CK has ONLY presets. MX, you can create your own sound with its samples, CK can NOT.

    • @sjmusicforlife4638
      @sjmusicforlife4638 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mdmusiz Thanks! In this case, the MX61 is good enough for our church use. I believe theres no need since quality of the voices are the same.

    • @mdmusiz
      @mdmusiz  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sjmusicforlife4638 also, Ck has limit only 3 layers, instead 16 layers of MX. MX also has arp which is very useful for church songs.

      I think CK has better piano, Hammond organ, and Wurlitzer/Rhodes sounds. All other sounds are likely to be the same samples for both.

    • @GizzyDillespee
      @GizzyDillespee 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      IOW, the CK shares the piano with the P series keyboards, and the electric pianos and organs come from the Reface series, and the rest of the sounds come from the MX series.
