- Final Fantasy 16 is out now for PS5. It promises a massive new setting, epic storyline and deep characterization. Though it has that vibrant atmosphere, there are plenty of changes and new systems to master, including fast-paced real-time combat.

@@pp90-makarov91 I play on an OLED TV and the game looks absolutely fantastic. I can’t say I’ve played anything else that has such consistent visuals. They could have pushed it further with a few less particles but it’s still a showcase of a game. Anyone waiting to play on PC will be waiting a while. Just because the exclusivity ends in 6 months doesn’t mean it will be out at that time. I have no doubt it will be at least a year and by then it will have been next to impossible not to have the game spoiled in between. I’m only 10 hours in but I am still glued to my seat as I was during the prologue. Absolutely amazing title / story / mechanics thus far.
It’s seems so overly obvious it’s painful.. my brain quite literally hurts trying to fathom y they would have went with 15 tips instead of adding 1 more.

As final fantasyXIV veteran I’ll say final fantasy XVI have everything now. Graphics, fighting, story, and so forth. This game is awesome!
Dude.. do the side quest... especially the ones with the plus icon.. You'll miss out on great items and crafting material... also it's the only way to get a mount

Some of the technique styles that are used in Final Fantasy 16 kind of reminds me of some thing from the tales franchise.
The world and enemmy interaction are exactly like tales of arise

Edit: I would recommend though that you do all the side quests. Most of the rewards are quite beneficial and some of them bring you to small areas on the map the story doesn’t which can also lead to chests.

No spoilers needed, but is it just purple equipment I should save and not sell moving on? Or do blues/greens also need to be held onto for best crafting?
I’m only 60% through the game so take this with a grain of salt, but I haven’t had a need for any old weapons/armor. That said, I haven’t sold any of it on the off chance that I do need something down the line and have never been in need of money (though I haven’t bought any of the music which is a bit expensive)
I really hope that this game sells well. Would love to see this hit 16 Million units sold. 😏

I have good news for you… Type B controls! I didn’t realize it was a thing in the demo on my first play through. Did it on my 2nd and it was soooo much better for me.
@@SuperBrentendo89that's the first thing I did in demo. Type B is the way to go. Much more intuitive
Type B is the best. It aligns with other control modalities such as those for Stranger of Paradise and Forspoken
I actually prefer type C. There appears to be some form of control remapping being looked into for release in a future update, as well as motion blur disablement.
@@awilywolf I really wish they would patch in a simple Hard mode for first play-throughs… nothing that alters the game in any way other than the enemy difficulty

I don't know if there's another patch that is needed because when it comes to Torgol's command to launch enemies into the air it doesn't do it..... it just does the exact same thing as sic does when you tell him the sic the enemy.
No matter how many different battles I've been in no matter how many times I've tried I could not get that dog to launch an enemy.
I think I gained an additional five levels wasting my time going around and trying to get Torgol to execute that move..
It only works on lightweight enemies. I've not had any issues with inconsistency when it comes to executing "ravage" on smaller enemies.
Weirdly I’ve not had this issue at all. Seems like it works for only smaller based enemies than big guys

So XV was my first FF game, I used to watch my brother play the older ones when we were young and it's such a change, I remember I told him I got XVI and he was like "it's 16 of them now!?" Nah it's more
The game doesn't tell you how to use ifirits abilities such as the dash and the orbs that surround you. I still don't know how to do them. Other than the limit breaker. Anyone know?
Use the orbs that surround you with lightning rod for massive will damage.
U gotta assign them to a slot like your other special moves. R2 + square or triangle
I wish there was a transmod for swords that black and red sword is so sick looking I don’t wanna upgrade it

If your ps5 is running hot while playing ff16 use performance mode it will run way cooler if you play in quality mode just put your hand by the ps5 you'll feel the heat in quality mode

The review spoils things as a warning. They tell you an eikon that you get that is not shown in no commercial -_-
Abilities refunded without penalty? This is false, you get refunded but only a percentage

The only problem i have with the game so far and i am 3hrs in is that there is no inventory surplus. You can not collect 99 of all possible items which is one of the things I enjoy about RPGs. Only limited to what the hotkey allows and any additional items picked up just get consumed automatically. So far this is my only complaint in a very much enjoyable game.
Yeah I don’t love that either. I get that it’s designed that way so you can’t just spam pots in battle, but you’d think there’d be some way of being able to still pick them up. This combined with lackluster loot has me not really excited about exploring unfortunately. Still I’m having a lot of fun, just wish the rpg part was more prominent.
@@mhiggs8001 i am very happy with the story. Combat is not too bad although i liked FF7R combat better. I saw that you can max out on other materials used for crafting, i just think that the consumables should be treated the same way. They can still limit it in battle hotkey but allow us to stockpile in the inventory, then in out of battle menu allow the replenishment of your consumables to hotbar.
@@dragon-cloud yeah I agree, I feel kinda bummed about the exploration, I mean how I’m not motivated to look at every nook and cranny like usual. The story is really, really good and engaging though. So far at about 20%(according to the ps5 Home Screen) I am very into the storyline. Probably more than any other FF I’ve played honestly. It’s the mystery and intrigue for me, that stuff always gets me hooked and we have a lot of that on display so I am digging it big time.
@@mhiggs8001 yea yoshi p did a fantastic job rebuilding XIV and i loved it alot. Havent played in over 2yrs due to unstable internet. This installment just needs to be played and looked at from a different perspective than previous games. My all time favorite is still FF6 and nothing will ever change that lol.
unfortunately this game is not an rpg, but just an average action game with 75% cut scenes. alas... better find an actual good game to play

Ive noticed that every youtuber pronounces her name as "share-un" or "chair-un". But no one pronounces it the right way as "care-un". It's annoying.
Torgols healing ability sucks.... unless I'm not using it right I don't see that thing really ever heal me at all during a fight whether I ask it to heal me or I have it linked to Auto heal me...... does he use my potions does he have his own does it only feel a certain amount because I haven't really noticed a difference when it comes to that either
Torgol only heals that small darker green portion of your health bar after you take damage.

It's also not instant. It's a heal over time.
It's a free regen of dark ("grey") health. Since it has little to no impact on his offensive CDs It's a lifesaver in a pinch and can save you those precious pots, especially to save an Arcade run.
I’d like it if our total heath wasn’t diminished either. It’s a bit annoying to not have access to your full health after some time.

The game literally does tell you about a lot of these tips. Some even have brief tutorials (like #1). And the rest are pretty much common sense (“check your gear” is a tip??). What a trash list lmao

I really dont want to play this game... I had my doubts seeing the footage but eye open reading feedback but too much tech graphics demo still happening in games dont like the world landscapes/colors and too much menu items and just no I dont want anime bright colors/styles but I think Ill peacefully bow out of this FF. FF ended at 8.

looks amazing? hogwarts is an actual open world game and looks miles better. plays well? runs at internal 720p (!!!) resolutions to TRY to achieve 60 fps, which it doesn't in exploration - EVER. only clive and cid's character models are detailed, everyone else is dead as any old (PS3 era) ubisoft game. in some nps, which have voice recorded, only the mouthes have animations during interactions at hubs. speaking of those, the game is a succession of corridors leading to hubs or main objective areas, which are not very explorable. disclaimer: I've only played 10 hours of it. Supposedly that's 1/5 of the entire game but I don't really see it getting any better.
it's hardly an 8 out of 10, much less a masterpiece
