Hwei is League of Legend's newest champion who brings with him 9 basic abilities on top of a damaging passive and ultimate! However, where he seems complicated at first what he does is incredibly simple, however he just has a number to different tools to get there!

At first I thought it was amazing how you managed to fit all of Aphelios' guns in a 3 minute vid, but covering all of Hwei's abilities in a 3 minute guide is insane! Nice!
Not really, hweis abilities are all extremely similar to each other.
Q is just damage skill shots and aoes
W is just support and auto-reset + mana regen
E is just cc
10 abilities but no depth compared to aphelios's 5 guns with unique interactions and passives.

This champ is a rip off of a smite god no lie I don’t like that
it may sound stupid to some but me and my friends refer to his abilities has stance. Q is offensive stance, w utility stance and e cc stance. it made us understand him more and made talking about him more easy

He's got such beautiful abilities, shame I probably will forget to use half of them during the match 😂

They all do essentially the same thing just mesh your buttons when you play him

slight correction / tip: starting with W is actually better since WE is just that great for early trades. It also nearly removes any mana issues from the start if you're smart with it.
If you go electrocute you can actually proc it at level 2 with a WE auto and a QQ since this will trigger your passive.
And a really nice combo is WE QQ EQ R WE QW. For this to work you will have to buffer you WE for a while to reduce the cooldown. If you then quickly cast QQ EQ and it hits this will guarantee your ult hit through the fear. Since the ult slow increases you can use QW at the end of it for a nice execution and WE to gain another passive proc. (This will only work lategame since you need the Q cd to be low but then it does around 12k damage before resistances, meaning you oneshot any non-tank)
This makes good sense! I can see starting W into a lot of match ups working super well!

Lmao I'm new to the game and I was playing ARAM. This guy came up and I had no idea how complicated he was going to be since I'd never played him before. Went 3/19/24, then immediately came to this video to figure out how the hell to play him lol.

I'm enjoying Hwei as a support right now. Since his kit comes with team utility, cc, and damage, playing him as support gives your team an additional ap dps without sacrificing cc like all of the other mage supports do. Support item is great this season, and his diverse kit allows you to finely tailor items to the needs of the match without losing utility nor damage.
Absolutely I think a lot of people have picked up on him actually being great in that role, similar to Xerath but less damage and more utility!
I'd love to see a Hwei support guide. Maybe not as good but it could be interesting

@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends please do, i'm a support main that almost exclusively plays Leona. I'm really hoping Hwei is good as support because I really want to play him and I've been looking for a good champion other than Leona to try and play.

I really think Hwei will settle out to being more of an AoE sustained damage mage rather than a burst mage. His AP ratios are a lower than the standard mage unless he greeds for damage with WE. He's closer to Brand than Syndra.
Build Liandry's, Archangel's, then a Cosmic Drive unless the enemy has literally all squishies.
I did think he may end up like this, he also works really well as an artillery mage where Ludens makes more sense, but Liandrys and scaling items also would make him a late game beast!

my favorite combo when the enemy has half his life is EW + QW
You root him and then he gets bonus dmg because of the effect from QW which makes bonus dmg when enemy is rooted and have low life.
Yes this definitely sounds like one of the best quick burst combos for him!

Hmm... which Q deals the most damage to single epic monster objectives like Herald/Dragon/Baron?
The fireball is great damage but lightning deals more damage if they’re low health so lightning!

OVERLOADED CHAMPION
You’re not wrong 😂
Overloaded champs are ones who have overly powerful abilities that do a huge amount of things and cover eachothers weaknesses just by pressing one button or simple combos, think K'sante, Yone, or release Zeri. Hwei is a complicated champ that has a lot of SIMPLE abilities that dont necessarily flow together, and its on the player to manage how to use them appropriately to maximize his damage and utility while staying alive. Use WE and then get ganked? You have no escape tool, hope they dont dodge EQ or youre screwed. A complicated champ is not an overloaded one.
@@blueishdergon i would rather compare him to someone like xerath, hwei has lockdown, cc, a shield, and a speedup while xerath has just pure damage
@@blueishdergon also somoneone like K'sante is not difficult because he has 9 abilities but because you need to know when to transform and when to go for short trades and play safe. the only thing that makes Hwei hard is that he has a lot of abilities, you don't need good macro or support from your team to play him effectively
im so confused, why does he have to have so many abillities.i was gonna play him but after seeing he has 9 different commands im not gonna bother it sounds like a lot of work to learn

Maybe it's because I played him alot on PBE but he's actually more simple than aphelios but is definitely balanced cuz he depends on the player playing him and which combos are the best in each scenarios, I'm still waiting 3 weeks to play him or else I'm going to rank and int and he'll be only 6300 BE only🙃
