Am skeptical of anything without heel grip and internal grip. Tokyo Football socks ver 1 and 2 or air were good but the new version was very disappointing for me given that they no longer have the grip material in the heel area now. 😢
With your say so, I've no doubt as to their performance. With that said... the graphics or logo'ing or whatever make the socks look much too 'busy.' That visual design is a mess. And the ironic thing about it is that all that unnecessary extra black thread stitching has probably driven up the overhead cost per unit, and in turn the price.
Thoroughly enjoy your video as always. I’ve been wearing Vypr grip socks for a couple years now. I’ve tried many different socks over the years and these are by far my favourite. I’m a huge fan. I was excited to hear a new model/upgrade was coming. I have to say I’m hugely disappointed with these. Increase in price - £40 for a single pair is really unaffordable No added grip to the back of the heel No added internal grip It’s hard to see any benefit in upgrading and if anything the design looks cheaper than the previous models
Thanks for watching appreciate that. As for your thoughts, The increase in price, for sure, they're some of the most expensive around now, and I totally understand why people wouldn't want to pay that. The grip up the heel, not a deal breaker for me at all, would I like to see it yes for sure, but as I say not too worried about it. Internal grips I did ask them about and they essentially said that their focus has been on fit rather than internal grips as they found a lot of higher level players that tested them didn't like internal grips, which again I understand, would I like to see it, sure, but it's less essential when you have a good fit, which you do get here. Also worth considering (they didn't mention this) that if you're selling in the US a rather large grip sock company does own a patent on internal grip elements, so that might cause some issues and cause some companies to steer away from doing it. I know more than one grip sock company that doesn't use internal grips for this reason. I do think this is an improvement on what we have seen before in a few areas, just all around a better performer, just have to work out if you're willing to pay the price. I have the VNM Grip 2.0+ review in the works as well which of course is their less expensive option.
Value for money wise probably not, they're in the same ball park quality wise, but the wefoot for example are cheaper, but you have to be careful with shipping and import taxes on the wefoot. The tabio are a totally different sock in almost every way, so hard to compare.
@ thanks for the input. I live in the 🇺🇸 so I guess I will have to see which one comes up to be the better money value after import taxes and shipping costs.
Grip socks don't need grip inside the sock provided that the overall fit is good enough. I don't dispute that internal grips are beneficial in a lot of instances and generally something I prefer, however they can also be a detriment to a sock, for example the Lux sock v1 suffers from a lack of comfort due to the internal grip elements. So while yes internal grips are generally excellent and something I like to see, they're also not absolutely essential to a high performance grip sock.

oh gosh. now I'm excited for it.
Really great socks, especially if you like something more padded, just a little on the pricey side for most.
was excited until the price
It might be the thing that puts a few people off.

I love how you take time to reply ,keep up the amazing work!!! @BootWizard
Are they better valué for money than getting wefoot or tabio sports ?

@@numa_rod10 for sure. You can't really go wrong with any of them.
if they dont have grip inside the sock whats the point

Nooo you make me overhyped with those😢 was actually thinking buying those when I was watching the review but the price, is too expensive for me man.
Gotta give you all the facts,
They're amazing
And have a high price
@To be fair I’m buying those
If they were less than €35
@Eason_lau keep an eye on the website they do good sales quite regularly and then you should be able to use my discount code as well.
@@BootWizard thanks for the advice
