    We used to rent this model Lund up in Canada on the french river as a kid. Many memories in this hull. Spent 10+ hour days in it for 10 days at a time each Summer, when the "Big One's" were sleeping, haha. The rentals had old 20 or 25 hp Merc motors though and none of these accessories. The one without the floor always was faster because it was lighter. With the Bimini top and outriggers it looks like a much more expensive boat. Like a mini Alaskan open water fishing boat. As a kid, my dream was to get one and put a 50hp motor on it and a steering wheel. I thought that would be awesome. Now at 43 years old, I'm thinking about it again now that I have a truck that can pull it. Cheers.

    *We tried this out finally yesterday and it worked awesome! **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s we put it on our 16 foot aluminum boat and trolled with it. We didn’t catch anything but it was still fun and worked awesome! Can’t wait to use this baby again and hopefully reel in a big ole fish! Very easy to install and set up.*

    Hello! I have the same boat (except mine is black) and your video's really show what can be done with it, very inspirational. I'm in the process of installing a gps/sonar and ran across your review of the rig rite transom transducer plate on amazon! Just wondering, did you screw it in to the transom or epoxy it? I'm hesitant to drill into the transom but it seems like it's done all the time. I read about the stern saver plate that comes with epoxy but I can't find it locally anywhere. Did you drill yours? any regrets? Many thanks!

    I was thinking about getting a big open utility like an ssv18 or Alaskan and putting an enclosure like that right to the bow. How is it holding up? Can you see forward ok if it’s raining or really damp or does it fog up? Does it catch the wind and make the boat hard to handle at all? Thanks, great rig

    • @shuswapoutdoors
      @shuswapoutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      it shed rain very well. it does fog up in the early AM if the humidity is really high but those days I usually have a buddy heater going that clears it off really fast. it is fantastic in the wind and doesnt get pushed around much. i have no issue controlling the boat with the 5hp in high winds. well worth the money!

      The seats are great and have no problem sitting in them all day. I probably have 100 days on the water over the last year, and they are holding up great. Still look and feel new. Everyone who has sat in them likes them.
      I picked up the bimini from www.iboats.com/ ...... And had the sides and fronts custom made by www.canvasmanworld.com/
      Thanks!

      What size fuel tank were you able to get under that seat? You didn't end up showing that in the video.

    Freaken sick ride man...thought i didnt like those ssv's but seeing yours just changed my opinion...i just ordered a 16' fury with the 25 on the back. You probably said it and with all that on it it probably isnt but is it tippy at all? Like can u stand on one side without it being uncomfortable?

    • @shuswapoutdoors
      @shuswapoutdoors  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its a very stable hull design. You can have two guys standing on one side.... fighting and netting a fish and it doesn't feel like its going over.

      @@RenegadeRiderBC Thanks for replying. Your comment helps settle my nerves over this boat. I think I will go with this one on such a high recommendation by you. It has the livewell and bow platform that I want for fishing Lake Erie backwaters in Ohio. It comes with the Merc 25 hp. Hoping that's big enough. Will only be carrying two people with an approximate weight of 380 pounds

      @@dougroberts3643 I have a 25 merc on mine and loaded down with gear and 2 guys Im getting 24 mph with the 24v Terrova up front. The only complaint I have is go with anything else other than the stock ShoreLand’r trailer they put under the boat. Otherwise Ive had my Fury in water I really shouldnt have been out in and Im still here to talk about it! Good luck!

    you should get a evinrude 30 etec there the strongest motor
    their is, last time me and brother got heavy load in the
    boat and we didn't know evinrude etec was the strongest
    motor there is.

    • @shuswapoutdoors
      @shuswapoutdoors  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have no heard many good things about the etecs around here. People seem to have a lot of issues with them.
      I think I would go with the Honda 50 if I were to mount a new motor. It's lighter then everyones 4 stroke 40s....
