    The second interview was conducted as an interview should be and should be a learning experience for the novice seeking work. Now the first interview, wow. how painful to sit through something like that. They were totally unprofessional from the beginning. They should have welcomed you and at the least offered you a seat They were overly personal, in attack mode, and totally unconcerned about their firm's reputation . They need to be called out but I guess in Ghana that would not be a good idea.

    I will share my experience as a once and employee and an employer.
    Employee: I usually have the skill to make the panel bypass the trivialities and tell them how I could help double the revenue of the company or expand the company as a whole.
    As an employer: after reading all your submitted CV and documents , I will just call you and assign you a task to demonstrate all the skills you listed in your CV. If you excel I take you if you don't gone.

    I remember my first interview to be a Physician Assistantship student they were basically arguing with the fact that I was too young to be in the university I'm 17 years and they almost didn't agree that I was supposed to be in school

    • @AprilN
      @AprilN  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely ridiculous. What are they testing? Your argumentative skills? What does that have to do with the course you applied for?
      They could've just asked you whether you think you'd be able to handle the course at such a young age and if you think you can why do you think so. What are they arguing with you for?🤦🏽‍♀️
      I just disagree with such methods, maybe someone else thinks they are valid but I don't think I'd ever agree

    How do you get an internship. Do companies reach out for interns themselves then you apply ?

    • @AprilN
      @AprilN  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When I was in university, no company or firm reached out to me. I applied for every opportunity myself. you can watch this video to find out more: th-cam.com/video/wCD_o52WoRQ/w-d-xo.html

    Pls where are you now? Are you in the Ghana school of law?
    Also can you make a video of how to prepare for interviews, what and what not to do?
    How to behave and all that?

    Well they ask such questions on your CV because they want to make sure the CV is actually yours and just to test your patience 😂😂😂

    • @AprilN
      @AprilN  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, it's important to verify if it's the person's CV but there are so many ways to do that without asking primitive questions 🤔 I'm comparing because I've been to interviews that I consider were well conducted and others like some I spoke about in this video which to me were poorly conducted. And to me how the interview was conducted shows the kind of people/place I'd be working at... unless I'm desperate, I won't accept an offer from a place where I feel i wouldn't fit in 😢

    Don't respond directly....that's from experience. Say what you've done and wish to do....let it be practical, things you've done (vids of your you tube shows etc.).... Seems ike you take it literally....don't.
