Love that you shared this information! Yes, the two-step is a Great add. Rolling your hip just a little bit as you step can add flare. YES, combine pirouettes and PK turns with Everything - although for someone with a background in ballet, where using your arms is the force that drives the turn, clean poi moves are really difficult. These turns and the Tour Jete look nice if I'm Levi Wanding though. Just recently decided to Tap Dance in my freestyle double taps with my little Digi Poi! (Step-ball-change is used in Tap). Super fun, and I find Tap and Jazz to be easier groundwork for poi (I'm just a Beginner with Flow Toys, but a quick study). I would Love to see you do another vid on more of your fave moves, as well as what styles you enjoy. Your flow is So Effortless and Zen that it would lend itself to Any form of dance you wished to express yourself in!! 👍👍
I think a reason pirouettes look so much better with doing it properly with the knee, especially with poi is because it helps the audience know where to look next. It seems like staff spinners, intentionally or not, will often lead the audience where to expect the staff to go next using their body motion because the staff takes a bit to get there and can be disjoint from their body (especially contact spinning). Most poi moves don't have this option without using another part of your body. Ty Roachford is my favorite person to watch spinning (sorry Drex : p ) because he makes it happen so well by telegraphing where to look next! It's like the famous comment about cinematography in Mad Max Fury Road, your eye can follow the action naturally and gets hints where to look next!

I love this video. I do the 2 step with my butterflies where I take half my butterfly out and back in as I step my foot in and out.
Pirouettes is imo the most versatile dance move for poi 🔥😍
My fav video poi 😊
GREAT video! Loved it. The pirouette moment definitely got me. Hope to see more poi dance fusion tutorials in the future! :)
Thanks for these amazing ideas!😍👍😍👍
Whats that tattoo you have on your arm? Looks cool
Very good vid dood 😁👍
I would love the sequel, but apparently I tend to be a bit of an odd data point.
I need that Flow for Black Lives shirt... ToT
Where can I get one?
