the old mage in this keep was trying to find the secret to stop the 30 year death of the gray wardens taint. It proof what he was working on in sealing the taint within the body of any warden and discovering more powers from the taint to use it against there enemies. see how long this mage has lived so long and past his coming death. bioware has made us found ways to save our warden from her or his 30 year death.
it's a slim chance, you may get some semblance of progress but it'll be a long slow process without the unethical methods he used. don't forget that so far he only found a way to lengthen his own life at the cost of all the others
Aaron Page Hope will find out what happens when dragon age inquisition come out for Oct 7 how well Avreus progress went and found the true secrets in the warden blood, so the Wardens can Asscend to new form of power and go beyound the taint also over come 30 years of death never again suffer the voices of call or blight it self. i wonder if they live forever like the darkspwan.
like I said Avernus only managed that through unethical means, if he finds the secret to overcoming the limited timespan they'll only have the natural length. also most likely he won't be finished by the time you said, he might have found a way to increase the time a bit but I highly doubt it's by much. he'll also need to find a way to remove the taint when the darkspawn cease to be a threat
Oooh.... I should have brought Oghren with me on this one. The long, open-mouthed look that old mage gives him is priceless. Ah, I wish the Deep Roads weren't such a pain in the ass. I'd prefer to have him in my party as quickly as possible.
Also, in case you think mods that skip part are cheezy, or you don't use PC; I think you can just leave Orzammar and save the Deep Roads for later once you get Oghren (or you can do the different sections in bursts) I don't beleive anything forces you to do all of the DR right after he joins.
DRAGONSLAYR565 So do I. I guess I don’t prepare enough by trying to level up appropriately. I don’t have as much fun with the fighting so a prolonged fight in a long area without being able to get more poultices... Just ugh. I was way more into the story and characters than the battle mechanics.
@@RoseKoneko yeah, that's my problem with battle of denerim, but I've learned the art of using heal spells. Bring something like spirit healer morrigan or Wynne and just play them during the fight

The Demon possessing the warden has the same voice as the Asari who spoke for the Rachni in ME1 Also, the Mage and Loghain talking to each other is filled with the same disdain as Zhal'Koris and Han'Garrel had for each other in ME2. Bioware is consistent, I'll give em that!
Haha I was thinking the same thing about what Loghain was saying. He's a pretty smart person though and once he joins your party realizes all the mistakes he's made so I'm sure he's including himself.
Honestly, I was a bit annoyied that the greatest problem was the summoning of demons and blood magic... while completely overlooking this guy was torturing and sacrificing his fellow wardens! That was the thing that enraged me most With avernus. My warden almost went full murder intent on Avernus.

My game must be broken. I never get any comment from companions here. Just Levi will say some things now and then. I usually only get banter while we are walking around but usually nothing when talking with other ppl. Only sometimes.
That Morrigan hoodie is sweet. Man, I wanna buy DAO for the PC, but I also saw nothing but porn and Oblivion ports when I checked out the nexus modlist. I wish there was a decent recommended list out there.
If you don't install nude replacers, there's no porn. Some romance mods include extra sex scenes but those are optional. Recommended lists exist, but they skim over most of cosmetic mods, just look up "companion" or "NPC" in Nexus for replacers and read the info on required files. For dialogue and quest fixes, there's a Fixpack that does it all, no need to bother with separate fixes for Zevran, Morrigan, Alistair etc. or various restored content mods.
To be fair, it was said in a nostalgic sort of way with no hint of venom. I personally took it more like a dig at us, the player, going about questing and sorting out everyone's minor problems in the face of a country-swallowing blight.
