Based on everything I read, it says the MyCar 2 can be programmed to open my proximity trunk release AND my push button heated seats. The dealer/installer I went to see today says that it can't control any added features like that. So what is true?
keep in mind that MyCar 2 is like a universal remote and it connect and control multiple different brands of remote car starter. The MyCar2 can control up to 4 AUX outputs. The features are a referring to requires extra labour and parts to be connected to the remote starter brain AUX outputs. Now depending on the vehicle make, model, year and trim certain features will be available others wont. Always check with your installation center to know what is possible or not
Would be nice if it can let you know if your wipers are on the ON position to avoid damage to wipers while theyre frozen to windshield or under heavy snow.
At time of installation you can ask the them to wire the remote car starter to not activate the wipers when remote running, there will be an extra charge to do so as it requires extra parts and labour
Always read the small print! The lifetime subscription says it will continue until you sell the car that the unit is installed into. If you lease your car, or sell it, or just want to transfer it into another vehicle you cannot. Being as cars rarely last a lifetime, thus infomercial is extremely misleading. There is very little value in this when the normal mycar1 subscriptions is $99 for 3 years. Just to make this purchase worthwhile you'd have to keep your current car for more than 9 years just to break even. Sure, some people keep there cars a long time but for many this is not a good deal. I'm hoping the small print is wrong, and if you can continue to register multiple vehicles over the lifetime of the device it might be more viable.
You are wrong! The service plan can be transferred to a new owner or you can also transfer the device into a new vehicle. There is a transfer fee of $49.99 to do so…
I was told by a dealer today that we buy the idatalink and the MyCar 2 is something we can include, or get later. The MyCar2 only works, if an actual remote start module, is already installed.

How much does this drain the battery while vehicle is parked in winter? Some of these kill your battery within two weeks. Thanks
The MyCar 2 module alone is 20mA. Don’t forget the remote starter, interface and RF kit(if you have one)

taking too much, the main point is where to buy the device and service in the US
Not impressed with this app so far!! I have mycar 1 because is never connecting, then was upgraded to mycar2 and still giving me the same issues..
not available in USA
guys you don't sell it individually unless as a combo with idatalink so what's the point of buying it
