In this video I am doing a complete walk through and review of the Gheenoe Classic. My buddy Justin let me use his totally tricked out rig for this video and I would like to give him a big shout out as we had a complete blast getting the footage!
I had such a good response on the Review of the Gheenoe Super 16, that I figured I would do one on the classic as well.
This boat was equipped with very single option you could think of and it was awesome. We ran it walked it, put it through the paces in the main river with lots of boat traffic and it did really well. Check the video out and see what my OPINIONS are of the Gheenoe Classic.

My dad bought one of these new in 1998. It came with a 52lb thrust trolling motor with the cable foot controls. We fished 3 in it a couple of times, but just little creeks. But we fished with just us two a lot. Never had a trailer for it until today. After it has been sitting for years and various family members using and abusing it, my dad signed the title over to me. I have a brand new 25 Mercury in the box, new Riptide, nearly new trailer, and electronics. I plan to sand it down, patch some spots, re-gel coat inside and out and continue the tradition with my 16 year old son.

I agree, I used to really hate them because I rode on an off brand gheenoe, but after being in the real deal it is night and day. They are pretty cool and have their market for sure.

I have the lt25. Great inshore. Top speed 29. Mine is loaded down. Raised decks front and rear. 25 four stroke. Jack plate. Live well. 8 foot power pole. I pilot trolling motor. 9 inch garmin. Center council. Ect. Ect. All that stuff adds to the weight. But the lt25 is super stable. Fishing dream for docks and bridges and the islands
I literally just picked up a Gheenoe yesterday. It’s in rough shape. Toying with idea of redoing it and doing a giveaway.
@@JackedUpFishing i had mine built year and a half ago. I knew the type of fishing I do and so the result was perfect. Here in Tampa Bay we have some amazing fishing. For me it's pretty much nights. My friend just picked up an old gheenoe on the cheap. Garrauntee he will be catching a bunch of fish. Good luck with your build. What model did you get?
I am trying to figure out what model. It’s pretty thrashed and no identification numbers on it so we will see. I will post video here soon!
How much did it cost you if you don’t mind me asking?
@@kingkorbino3528 if I remember correctly just over 20k. Plus sales tax, safety gear, ect. I'm hearing price has gone up. Also year and a half for completion.

I was really surprised how much I liked the classic, but the super 16 still is my favorite so far. I want to find some one with an lt25 and a super 18 to check out

Man right now boat prices are ridiculous and crazy high. I bet this rig now goes for in the neighborhood of 5-6k when you could scoop this same boat up before 2020 in the 3k range. This market is definitely inflated at the moment for sure.
@@JackedUpFishing Actually I’m thinking it will be a few thousand more than that with the TM and accessories. You are correct though. Prices on everything are jacked up. Thanks for the video and answering my inquiry.

Nice looking setup but if you go with the right Stainless Prop you can gain around 5 + mph

Lol don't have to tell me why I shouldn't buy a gheenoe classic. I like big stable boats like that 37' seahunter. I'm a little over 6'2" so I think I would feel cramped on that thing.
Lol I know the feeling , it was like driving a go cart after driving a semi😂😂. Pretty fun !
