    Around 6:50 ish when the tarpon hits the bait when your throwing a cast net is exactly why I’ll never get a boat over my kayak. You don’t get to experience the stuff you do on kayaks and canoes etc on anything else. I actually had a manatee lift the front end of my kayak out of the water before where I guess we scared each other because he took off and I about pooped lmao

    Those are the trips you recall every detail. Forty years ago in a Palm Aire golf course lake down in Pompano Beach I hooked a fifty in a twelve foot Jon boat. I was throwing an old wood Dalton Special top water. That fish landed half in the boat and scared the shit out of me.

    • @infinitetempo513
      @infinitetempo513 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Man that’s crazy I live about 10 mins from palm aire and fished all those lakes and haven’t seen any tarpon yet, but yet again you said 40 years ago so makes sense

    • @osceolaassassin3188
      @osceolaassassin3188 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@infinitetempo513 The canal that runs under Powerline Rd across from the Greenbrier Pub would have fifty tarpon rolling in there. The flood gates opened after heavy rain. Tarpon would swim in there and get trapped until water management came by and manually closed the gates. Today those pumps run by computer so they don't stay open long.

    Way to go Justin I became a gheenoe believer through your videos a couple of years ago, and then waltzed my butt down to Titusville and bought “ Matilda” my LT 25 with a 25HP Tohotsu .You do an excellent job with what you do and the Ghee brothers need to build you a custom special one just for you cause they have sold a gazillion boats on account of you, then they need to bronze that high sider of yours and ship it to the Smithsonian lol great job buddy.
    And it does take COJONES to go out there I won’t do it I don’t have the experience nor balls 😂 but good for you what a day! Epic

    I can relate to ya on getting that tarpon landed. I had to do the same in a 24’ Proline by myself but with a prob 120 lb monster. Its not easy by yourself. But I managed and did end up landing her after about 20-25 mins. Its def an adrenalin rush!😎👍👍
