    I dig how you got that splash guard on that side by side this job is fun I do this for Detroit public schools when there's no schools we strip and wax every classroom every year I'm glad I came across the video my boss was like what is that black thing around it how that you did this job for like 15-20 years you said you never seen a splash guard

      Lol we get that a lot. The splash guard keeps the baseboards clean so less cleanup. Love it.

    Video was Simple and to the point .
    Once the wax is added how many years would it last ? I heard you say the previous was about 10 years ? Is it worth waxing tile or steam cleaning company ?

    Tennant = excellent brand for scrubbers. 2 Questions though:
    1.what brand of stripper solution did you use?
    2. Why didn't you neutralize the floor before the rinse?

    how many layer do we need to put the wax on the tile?.. is it suitable for marble?..

    • @bluedevilcustoms9849
      @bluedevilcustoms9849  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use anywhere between 3 to 6 coats of wax on tile after a sealer is put down first. It all depends on how many you really want. With six coats I can usually just come back after 6 months and use a buffer with a burnishing pad to bring back the shine without needing to restrip and wax again. I would recommend stripping and rewax at least once a year. I have never put wax on tile so I wouldn’t begin to even try to give you advice on that. I am sorry. But thanks for the comment. Have a great night.

    • @bluedevilcustoms9849

      The customer didn’t want any sealer put down for this job as it was payed by time and material. I recommend the sealer to him so that we didn’t have to use so much wax but he declined. Thanks for the comment. Have a great night.

    • @bluedevilcustoms9849
      @bluedevilcustoms9849  ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the wax, and type of tile. On this job the waiting time was one hour between coats with three coats being put down per customer request. Mind you these floors are 30 years old.

    • @bluedevilcustoms9849
      @bluedevilcustoms9849  ปีที่แล้ว

      After I strip the floor the T3 floor machine sucks up all stripper and old wax. After that process is done we do mop the floor again with hot water and soap. We let that dry then a 20/20 sealant is sprayed down and ran over with the buffer before any wax is applied.

    • @bluedevilcustoms9849

      The machine is a tenant T3 floor scrubber. We use it to suck up the old wax that is broken down from the floor stripping solution we put down. You can use a mop as well. We just use this machine on bigger jobs for the speed.

    • @Endor2001
      @Endor2001 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. Those edges needed a putty knife to them and the whole floor needed a second strip. Also, the floors needed a neutralizer applied and then a water only rinse. I also cringed when he was wearing the same shoes for waxing that he was using for stripping. Waxing is important, but the stripping is the most important part.

    Somebody that strip and wax floors like myself that's a pretty sloppy job I wouldn't be proud to put that on TH-cam stripper on a dirty floor without dust mopping mopping picking dirt and debris before you throw stripper on the floor and if there's any entry's seal them off with tape and floor mats then start your stripping process

    • @bluedevilcustoms9849
      @bluedevilcustoms9849  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lol I don’t show the process of sweeping and mopping the floors before I showed how to strip and wax the floors. Sloppy??? Lol I think not. If you strip and wax floors for a living then you must be doing floors that aren’t that old. The last time this floor was done it had been 10 years with cabinets and desk sitting in the same spot. So the tile was stained through the old wax. You don’t see the entrance to the room due to the fact that it’s a factory that I couldn’t show on video for privacy policy’s. But yes there was a floor mat on the outside before stepping in. And you go ahead and use tape to seal off whatever you like. I will continue to use my splash Gaurd for less labor. That’s for the comment though. My haters are always my biggest fans and somehow always seems to know more then me about my job. Lol have a great one.

    • @bluedevilcustoms9849
      @bluedevilcustoms9849  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dwell time is one hour in between coats of wax but to put all that in a video would have made the video 5-6 hours long and a doubt anyone would have watch the floor dwell. But thanks for the comment.

  • @terrythornton3
    @terrythornton3 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is a very sloppy job He's stepping all in the stripper he showed the half of the floor this is not a good strip job you can slip and fall Paul this is not the way you strip a floor you wait for law you do not put the stripper all over the floor and step all up in the floor

    • @bluedevilcustoms9849
      @bluedevilcustoms9849  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol non slip shoes. And with experience comes balance. Putting the stripper down and letting it do it’s job behind me while I run the swing machine help break up the 20-30 year old wax. Saved the customer from replacing all the tile. But thank you for the comment.
