    That SAFE mode is pure gold - especially when youre fairly new to Mikrotik and youve just installed hardware in the datacentre!

    I've scripted in RouterOS for many years and I was not aware of Hotlock... I accidentally activated it once or twice but never on purpose, always thought something was broken with Terminal Emulation in Winbox ^^
    thx!

    F7 feature is very weird. Couple of times I turned it on accidentally and couldn't understand what it was and how to turn it off

      it used to be tied to Ctrl-V and was VERY confusing for those new to RouterOS :-D

      @@andrewcox-in-aus as of right now it doesn't look like F7 does anything but Ctrl-V pastes.

    didn't know about f7, but it really might be hard to get used to.

    Unfortunately, SAFE mode is for limited use only!
    There should be a configurable parameter, e.g. "/safe time=90s", which tells how long the Router should wait for reconnection.
    Because there are many changes where the connection to the remote device is correctly lost after a change.

    hi!Can mikrotik be used as a radius server for ipsec profile(ipsec psk,without using certificates) in roadwarrior case?

    Hotkeys = Bash emacs keys, which is why I like Mikrotik :)

    Is there any way to receive power traps of Mikrotik device via SNMP?

  • @ispapp1113
    @ispapp1113 ปีที่แล้ว

    ISPApp web shell allows you to send any command to any RouterOS device from the cloud. It uses HTTPS so it works behind NAT firewalls.😁

    so safe mode reboots the routerboard if you get locked out ? or you need to powercycle the routerboard in order to get back in ?

    • @mikrotik
      @mikrotik  ปีที่แล้ว

      It does not reboot. It undoes the change that locked you out (undo for last setting)

    When are you going to show Linux love and release Winbox for Linux?

    • @mikrotik
      @mikrotik  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can run it already using Wine

    • @pasan.

      @@mikrotik but native would be so much nicer. I had the issue where my winbox config got corrupted by another wine app in the same wine environment.

  • @proeatalk

    Please release native winbox for macos without the need for wine
