In NTSC regions like USA, their power supply alternates at 60 Hz. Thus, their televisions are set to NTSC which runs at a frame rate of 29.99Hz(color) or 30Hz(Black and White). In PAL Countries like Europe, their power supply alternates at 50 Hz. Thus, their televisions are set to PAL which runs at a frame rate of 25Hz.
