Hey thanks Tony. I'm looking forward to visiting and seeing you. And Thailand is great. I need to edit together and upload the rest of the footage. This video shows just a tiny sample of what I recorded.

What a wonderful video. Both the celebration and the remembrance. You did good by him. But congratulations so much to you and Jihee. I love the bond you've got with the new and exciting, and the reminding each other of it. Keep doing it. 🙂
The punch of the two combined wedding anecdotes ... man, I felt that. The honeymoon flights, though ... crazy that! Seems like a wonderful and joyous trip overall though. Finding that right focus, between recording memories and LIVING memories ... it is tricky. I love that you are already closely examining that, and looking at the compare and contrast of it all. I love the introspection.
Thanks so much for the shout out too, wouldnt have remotely expected that here. Really caught me by surprise, thanks so much for using a moment of a video celebrating y'all to support me too. It means a lot.
You truly have a gift for editing and composing these vlogs. The music, it all just comes together so well. I love how you were able to combine your celebration into this series. I think that does a great honor to him and would please him.
    Congrats yet again!

Thank you so much man. (I think every comment I've ever written in response to you has started with "Thank you so much man." You're just the sort of guy people want to say "Thank you so much man" to, I guess.) I've worried that the past couple videos might have seemed a little self-congratulatory, but it seems like the point and their relevance came through all right based on your remarks. It'd feel wrong to keep this big life stuff totally separate from my tribute to Jamison since it's stuff I wish I could share with him. It's a great relief to receive kindness in response. I guess we're all probably critical of ourselves in areas others wouldn't have ever thought to criticize.
Several years ago I had a conversation with someone about how it's impossible to be fully immersed in a moment while also thinking about and analyzing it as a moment in time. I think that probably applies to taking a bunch of photos and/or videos as well. Though you could maybe argue that you're appreciating it more in some ways by focusing on details you otherwise wouldn't notice if you weren't on the lookout for them, the fact is that all of the attention you're giving to those things is attention you're not giving to the people with whom you're sharing the moment. There's definitely a balance to be found, and I suspect that in most situations it's best to err on the side of not worrying too much about preserving it and for the most part letting the experience blast you full in the face. Case by case though.
(The real answer is probably "Ask your wife to tell you very clearly how much is too much, and then communicate your own goals, and then find some middle ground that keeps both of you smiling and feeling like a team.")
No problem about the shout out. I've intended to give you a more detailed shout out at some point, when I find the right video to put it in, but in the meantime it was relevant enough here that it was easy enough to toss in. I doubt it'll bring you much traffic, but I hope it does something for you.
And thanks for the compliments on my editing. I'm always feeling out how to go about making these (some of the older ones are probably borderline unwatchable if you aren't me or my parents), but I'm liking this current style with voiceover over footage because it condenses things; I get what I want to say across and show the footage I want to show at the same time, shortening the video and making it less daunting for potential viewers, and it's more dynamic and engaging than watching the footage without commentary and maybe wondering what the point is and then watching long static shots of me talking to the camera. There are things I like about that format too, but this has been nice for a change, and developing my craft by trying different stuff out makes me feel closer to Jamison, who did the same sort of experimentation with his own artistic and musical endeavors.
Hope that wasn't too self-indulgent. I appreciated your in depth comment and wanted to give you something more than just "Thanks dude." But thank you again.
