I loved your video❤️ You are an amazing couple, happy to have both of you as our friends😍🥰 Congratulation again and wish you a lifetime full of hapiness🥂
Hi, thank you for sharing all the details! You mentioned that its possible to receive an apostille by post services. Could you share does ministry collects originals of certificates while waiting for apostilles? Or you can keep originals and then collect apostilles later? I also found an info that apostilles should be ready within 20 minutes, do you think it’s possible now? Did registrar or employees provide you any info about waiting time nowadays? Thanks in advance!
Hi, yes you need to give the original document for apostille, because apostille is a like a sticker on the back side of your marriage certificate. Maybe it will be useful for you to know that at the ceremony you get two original copies of your marriage certificate, so you can have apostille on one copy only and you keep the other one for yourself. We got our apostille done at the end of last year via an agency, simply because it said once you submit the document for an apostille, it may take up to 7 days for the ministry to process….whereas I understand agencies have agreed days for apostilles so it is relatively quick with them. We found out we needed an apostille later on when we returned to Germany, so the costs associated with flying back to Denmark and waiting 7 days in a hotel were much higher. You were asking about waiting times, do you mean for application approval or getting a wedding date? If the first, I believe the approval is still aimed to be granted within 5 days. If the second, I supposed the demand is less in winter season, so you can be lucky to get a date quick 😊 Not sure I answered your question, but hope it helped. 😊
@ thank you Lana for detailed response! This info about apostille is very useful. I have the last question what was the actual waiting time for apostille in your case? Was it 7 days or less?
@@Uo6115 I sent the original document by post to „Getting married in Denmark“ agency, postage took a couple pf days. They received it on Friday evening, they informed me they would get the apostille done on Tuesday, they submitted my document, collected and posted back to me on the same day. Express postage took a couple of days each way. Overall it was approximately 7-9 days. You can speed it up and send the document with next day delivery. We were ok with the standard timelines.
Thanks a lot for sharing your journey. I have a question.. Is the City registration/Anmeldung document required for Marriage in Denmark? And Did you guys Wait for Six month after they got back to you?
@@wubishetzerihun They did not ask for Anmeldung document from Burgeramt but rather my right to live in Germany (residence card, which also has my address on it), as we applied as German residents. I saw somewhere that if a person is non EU resident, they would need a Schengen visa, if I remember correctly. Basically you need to prove that you can enter Denmark legally. We did not wait 6 months, but maximum 2 months after re-submitting all the documents. Hope this helps! 😊
@@lana.worldwide thanks, that helps a lot 😊.. So For me(as a Non-EU International Student ), who holds a Shengehen Visa, I would not need the Anmeldung document. i.e I & my partner who is also a Non EU imternational student will only need our Passport and our residence permit. Right? thanks!
@@wubishetzerihun this is my understanding. I am not 100% sure as our case was different but it seems that based on the information on the internet this should be correct. If you are in doubt, I would recommend to contact the Officials in Denmark to confirm your specific case. 😊
Congratulations, my fiancé and I also are considering getting married in Denmark next year 2026 thank you for your information if I have more questions is it okay to ask you?
@@Fasting_flow Congratulations to you as well 😊 yes of course! Good luck! 🍀 the process is easier than it initially seems 😊 Just bear in mind that once you have the approval, your marriage date should be within the 4 months after the approval. Otherwise you start from scratch.
Hi Lana, I am in the process of applying for a marriage license in Denmark and we're stumped by the Declaration 11 B. The wording for the requirement is complicated but I was wondering if you two signed this document for your application. Thanks!
Hi, yes, we signed the document as it was part of the process even if we are both non Danish residents or citizens. If you have any doubt regarding your specific situation, I would recommend to call the office directly, they were helpful with our questions and we did call them several times 😊 Best of Luck 🍀
Thanks for all useful information! Makes me want to marry in Denmark asap ❤ greetings from 🇩🇪
