we do have a variant of roger rabbit in the chip n dale rescue rangers movie i believe it could be his son jr he has smaller feet and redder hair a little taller as well a bit more graceful too
@@gelchert who knows strangers things have happened and im not talking about the Netflix show, i never give up hope like how the rescue rangers movie finally came out i waited as far back as 1991 i knew it would be made one day and it has been made and Spielberg gave them permission to use roger, plus Zemeckis also has rights to roger.
On one hand, I don't think the portrayal of Jessica in the original version of the ride was all that sexist. Yes, she gets kidnapped at the beginning, but at the end of the ride, she saves herself and is fighting the Weasels. Much like the movie, she's a subversive of how women were portrayed in the 30s and 40s. Ooon the other hand, this is supposed to be a semi-sequel to the film, right? So maybe in between the film and this she decided to become a Toon Detective herself to prevent another "ACME Incident" from happening again and to continue playing a bigger role in Toon Society since, if Betty Boop's line "What a lucky girl" is anything to go by, she's most likely seen by the other Toons who aren't her adoring husband as just a singer at the Ink and Paint Club. So this is still in character for me. And, while I get people not liking that they covered her iconic body, I like that her detective outfit is Dick Tracy based, continuing the 1940s aesthetic. So both versions work for me
been on this ride a few times in the many many years......and only just noticed, there is no mention of the movie's antagonist, Judge Doom. I guess his presence would be much more scary for what is essentially a jovial ride.
I think this is supposed to take place after the movie. Also, Eddie and Dolores aren't here either. I think they just wanted to focus on the Toons. Well, Toons that look like Toons throughout the movie and aren't in disguise the whole time. Lol.
@@kylemorello4787 At first I thought so too, but in the movie, many of the Weasles gang were killed, but they're all in the ride, so it couldn't have been before the movie.
That last weasel on the ride used to have green dip spray from the hose, then pause as it turns towards you and I remember as child on this ride terrified it was going to spray on me! Now it seems like that effect is broken and they’re just never going to fix it.
They ruined the clean storytelling. If they couldn’t stand her it would have been better if they took her out completely. Now she seems like one of the bad guys
Why am I not surprised that Woke Disney chose to completely censor Jessica Rabbit in a trench coat when that's completely out of character for her. Jessica Rabbit is supposed to be sexy on purpose, which explains her line, "I'm not bad! I'm just drawn this way." Also, she has a personality beyond just being hot. But no, Disney chose to disrespect her character in favor of politics. 🤦♂️🤦♀️🤦
1:16 Not sure if it was from before the original lyric notes were auctioned but Queens "Bohemian Rhapsody" was originally titled "Mongolian Rhapsody" I think. He crossed out the title in those same notes and replaced it with the song title we all know today.
was going to go on this but it shut down 💔 i almost cried ive been wanting to go on this for so long. who framed rodger rabbit was my favourite movie as a kid and i loved everything about looney toons. im really hoping i can go back and ride this
It happened because of politics and overly offended idiots 🙄 The crazy part is that people get offended by a sexy cartoon woman but they are okay with movies like cuties, a film that sexualizes actual minors. 🙄
Jeez the last time I was in Toon Town and went on this ride must have been like 1999 or maybe 2000 at the latest, seems like they've changed it up quite a bit

Man what a classic ride… I’m glad it’s still open! I remember going on this way back in 2007! It’s also how my mom introduced me to the movie!
This is one of my favorite Disneyland dark rides, coupled with Pinocchio
Such an amazing ride! Can't wait to be there in April!

Now we need Roger and Jessica returning in future media. Could be movies, shorts, guest appearances, anything!
or a Fanfiction.

Not likely, I’m afraid. The character rights are tied up with Steven Spielberg, and he doesn’t seem to be interested in doing more Roger material.

Great quality!
They found a way to erase all of the toons, they made a potion out of turpentine, acetone, and benzine. They named this potion the dip.
I still find this ride kind of haunting.
