I was interested in the Omega Aqua Terra.....until I ran into this one! This is as beautiful if not more and I can use the rest of the money I saved to buy something else.

    Thats crazy!
    - COSC
    - 80 hours power reserve
    - 100m (which is the beginning of dive watch level)
How many brands have been preaching stats *not* as good as that (for example Rolex has never made an 80 hour power reserve watch), and charging many many times more…
This proves just how inflated watch prices are. The difference in design (subjective), and finish, does not explain why some other watches are so much more…
Only wish it came in 39mm or less 🤷🏻‍♂️

Great review. I've had my Multifort (blue dial) for a couple of years and have been very pleased. Still freakishly accurate.

Great review! When it come to Mido, I must admit, I've suffered from contempt prior to investigation. This piece falls in my size range, price range, and now on my radar. Thanks Teddy.

Mido is so underrated. I have the Multifort in blue with the power reserve indicator and just bought the ocean star in blue yesterday. Both amazing watches and look as great as in Pressphotos. Would definitely recommend looking into them!

I must admit that MIDO was never considered for my “hit list” of watches.
Interesting to see your insight. Now, I may simply have another watch to consider adding to my list.
    Thanks for sharing.

Got mine last month in a sale event and absolutely loved it, Wears a bit big for a 42mm watch in my wrist, thin case, but nothing beats the price performance ratio of the COSC certified movement! Also very beautiful dial, can't help but flip my wrist occasionally to check the wave stripes. One thing I have to mention though is that there are only a handful of adjustable links on the bracelet to be taken on or off so I had to try a couple of times to figure out the proper bracelet length for my 7.5 inch wrist (and even now it wears a bit loose)

Have you tried changing a strap? I can't seem to find a proper strap for it. Because of the greyish dial

  • @GadgetyMV
    @GadgetyMV 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

The dial on these watches is spectacular in sunlight, specially the blue and the charcoal version. This watch has it all, silicon balance, COSC, great power reserve and 100m water resistance, which was added a few years ago. To me this is what the 14000 series Rolex AirKing watches used to be in the past, high quality, accurate, good looking and sturdy while appropriate in all circumstances.

I love how machining marks have been given a fancy name and treated as a feature when the reality is more like "That looks pretty cool! Leave it that way." Leaving them on the dial is unique. I like it. I just wish there was a version that didn't have a day or date. I think it would look much better. I'd buy that.

Mido is underrated, their finishing is very nice. I just wish they had more options in terms of size, this watch should be smaller and IMO the bezel could be thicker and the dial smaller (ala rolex). Also I don't get why they put that amazing bracelet, with polished mid-links and sides, on the Ocean Star instead of on this which is more dressier?

Hello there, check out the new Venezianico Nereide 39mm, I just came across it by chance today.
Seems to be a great choice for entry level sport/"luxury".. It has a nice finish & OK movement.
They also have the Retendore 36mm & 40mm on leather straps, both look nice specially the 36mm baby blue dial or the 40mm silver dial with blue hands.
Maybe you could do a video about those watches.
    Cheers.

Aren't Hamilton, Tissot, Longines, Rado, Mido are all mid tier watches under Swatch group umbrella? They all use either the ETA 2624, or 2892 movements. These mid tiers are very much like Pontiac & Chevy as part of GM and just as appealing. Sorry, but no matter how you dress up the exterior of a Mido ( fancy dial ), it still is a Chevy.

    • @davidcrandall4958
